BELIEF IS ACTIVE: HOW OUR BELIEFS EFFECT OTHERS IN SOCIETY

“It’s how society should be.”

how the lord intended it to be

In America today, so much of our beliefs effect how we all live our lives. An to a degree, how other countries lives, especially if they are allies can have an effect as well. When you believe something to be true, no matter what, people are going to push their will on society. We don’t just do it for religion, we do it for other things as well. If I want to live my life a certain way and others around agree, you are forced to fall in line. And what’s crazy is that living in America you should have the freedom to not be apart of something if you shall choose. But if you don’t align yourself with the status quo, then you will find yourself in a tough jam. The thing is, why do we care so much about each others’ beliefs?

the psychology of man

The reason humans have to enforce will has to do with us as a creature. As a creature we are endowed with the ability to have beliefs and have free-will. And for some reason, we seem to think that since we have these things it is supposed to mean something. When in reality what we believe to be true and what is actually true is different. I would love to believe a lot of things in our world, but the reality is, I have to decipher what is more important. So many people refuse to admit that a lot of what we believe is just not valid. If you have ten beliefs, only three are important. But then you get into this argument of well who gives you the right. Then from there is if it’s not important, why do I feel this way? So you just let them ramble, and as long as they don’t negatively effect society, you leave them be. Because it is only their lives they waste by jamming everything into their lives.

evolution says a lot

Being the carbon based lifeforms that we are, we learn and grow and understand the world around us. So the more we learn about self, the more we realize how complex the mind is, but how mundane we live and behave. So a lot of human beliefs are actually falling apart. Well at least the ones we have come to know over time. Because you cannot expect us to carry the same thoughts forever on Earth. So what happens is new ones replace outdated ones. So who knows in the future what the new-new-new ones will be.

ATHEISM IS HAPPENING: THE DOWNFALL OF RELIGION

Photo of Person Holding a Bible

“Why has to left?”

vanishing belief system

Over the recent years, religion has seen sharp drops in the United States of America. And the reason being brings up all sorts of topics. Some people have said that there is too much violence and control. While others have looked to situations like the September 11th terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington D.C. But whatever the case may be, people are drastically leaving across the board. Now, the word Atheist is something that creeps people out. So a lot of people have taken on the term nonbeliever. Yet they both mean the same thing, just the pressure of the word is softened. Is there more that meets the eye to why religion is dying? Does it have anything to do with the above statement I made early on in this passage?

sci-ence

The more we evolve the smarter we become the lest convinced we become of religion. Because the idea that a man is ascending from the sky to save our species is becoming more and more preposterous as time progress. The more people listen, the more we think to ourselves about living in a modern civilization how we still see this as just. And yes, we have become quit advanced since the times of the original Christians. We know more about our bodies and the world around us. So much so that man has even extended our life span to 78 years of age when it was only half that during biblical days. But besides the science, it is harder to get the attention of a younger demographic to be into religion.

distractions that bound us and bind us

A child growing up in Jerusalem a thousand years ago had no clue a child was playing in the Sahara of Africa. A child growing up in Moscow a thousand years ago knew nothing of a child’s life in present day America. Now we are so connected into the world that it is virtually impossible to not know what is going on worldwide. And with so much information, how do you focus on something so ancient and archaic as religion. Religion is unchanging and life is constantly evolving. And with that, getting the attention of the young to be interested is difficult. Now in less developed countries where child have less, the job is easier. Less finances, less opportunity, less distractions, more time for belief systems. And the more advanced we become, the less the need for the belief system.

ATHEISM WINS: WHAT IF ALL RELIGION DIED OUT

Silhouette Image of Person Praying

“When it all goes away.”

the end is near

I hope you are realizing something as it pertains to religion. And that is that it will not last forever. You will eventually see more and more relics of the major religions that have dominated the world in museums. They will be something we look back on thousands of years from now and be able to get an eye opener into our civilization. The only other two questions would have to be, “When will it happen,” and “How will people fair without it?” Because humanity won’t cease to exist, but the lives we live we be drastically different without a religion on Earth. Or will it be what we live now, just now belief?

the last to stand

Which of the three main religions will be the last to be in existence? In my opinion, I do believe Islam may be the last simply because the Middle East and parts of Africa have such a hold on the people. But considering they are so behind everyone else, this could prove to be a problem. Especially considering the Earth in shrinking as far as people living with each other. This means countries are starting to branch out and you will see people living closer together. Only problem is that cultures may start to bicker among each other. And religion has been that doctrine that has kept so much of humanity from fighting like we really could be.

how does it happen

As information spreads more and more, it will be hard to keep people under religious rule throughout the planet. So what happens is that people start to go out and find more information about the past, and in return uncovering more about the Earth than previously known. Anther more obvious reality is that religion goes away from people tired of the control factor. And I come back to the Middle East because of the women. You can only continue the same thing for only a period of time before it dies out. Nothing having to do with people is eternal. It’s only a matter time before all the dominoes fall down.

GODLESS: DOES TECHNOLOGY EFFECT OUR BELIEF IN A HIGHER POWER

Silhouette of Person Standing Beside Cross during Sunset

“Why is it being replaced?”

a new form of worship

For the past few thousand years man has worshiped a higher power. but what happens the more people become not only aware of self, but are deep into our gadgets. So much so that we begin to follow the practices not in alignment with our cultural backgrounds. We are ritualistic when it comes to our need to always be connected to our digital devices. We carry devices around like it’s our bible, and we can’t help but to look down even if it’s for something very mundane.

belief system in jeopardy

How could ones belief system be in jeopardy because they are into technology. Well, the things that beliefs have challenged for so long are being made possible today. So people are less interested in the intricacy of the idea and more about the burden of proof. And the more technology we have the more information is out here, the more people challenge what is it they believe in.

is it going away

Religion is going away, but is technology really an aspect of the decline? Or, are we just more aware? But that awareness comes as a result of having so much technology readily available.

CHURCH AND STATE: WHERE DOES RELIGION BELONG IN SCHOOL

bible, black background, book

“To or not to learn.”

god in school

God in schools has been a debate for years. And the obvious reason why there is no religion in schools is because we not only all have different belief systems. But we all have our own interpretation for what God means. And when sending our children to school, we may believe the same religion that is being taught yet still do not want the schools pushing their own beliefs onto our children. So we have worked to have a separation of church and state. But are there other reasons for why we have religion removed from schools?

lifestyle gets in the way

We all have lives that may conflict with our religious beliefs. And for that reason, you cannot teach religion in schools. The instructors just like the parents of the kids have lives. And to come to school and teach God and religion, yet have their own lives that cause conflicts with religion can create an unstable environment. The bible was written during a time period totally different than the one today. So living by the book becomes virtually impossible in the world today.

whose book?

Having so many groups living in an environment can create a problem when trying to figure out what religion to practice. But even if we look at just Christianity, which is the dominant religion of America, what sect shall be practiced? Will it be Baptist, Agnostic, Pentecostal, Catholicism, Lutheranism, or Jehovah Witness viewpoint? And they all have different takes in Christianity themselves. And after them you have Islam and Judaism, who have their own sects under these headings, not to mention Atheist.. So trying to place religion in schools would cause problems, even among Christians. So for now, let’s keep the religious talks for families to deal with not schools.

SELECTIVE BELIEF: WHY DO SOME IGNORE CERTAIN PRINCIPLES AND ACCEPT OTHERS

bible, book, business

“Passages: omit some, accept others.”

beliefs

We as people have beliefs that carry us through life. It is that thing in our lives that makes us thankful for waking up each and every morning. But what happens when that belief starts to cross over into everyone elses’ lives? We love to impose our beliefs onto others. But what happens when what we believe in faith collides with society?

What happens when there is something that takes place in our society that we feel close to us creates a bind with what we believe in religion? You are forced to choose between the faith and the social; but what usually happens is that people try to hold on to both. And what that does is you’re forced down a deeper rabbit hole.

the beliefs that creates binds

Vice President of the United States Mike Pence recently stated that he personally talks to God. And comedian and talk show host Joy Behar commented calling his ability to talk to God, “Mental illness.” It was a statement that got her in trouble with ABC television, for which she was forced to apologize.

But when a man says God spoke to him that would imply that they actually talk. And if they talk, considering what religion is, then how does God feel about guns in our society, or illegal immigration. It’s interesting what God talks to him about and what he omits in conversation. That is the divisiveness of including beliefs in politics. And it’s the duplicitous mentality of some people of faith.

stuck in choices

In our beliefs, we have what we feel and what is real. And what is real tends to be used to combine with the belief. I believe the bible is real, but I really believe in man’s direction. So we try to hold on to society and the teachings of God. But the teachings of God reject so much of how we live. So there lies the bind.

So instead of following the belief we make an excuse, yet people should still follow the belief. And you can’t worship both sides: you can live the way of God, or you can live by man’s ways. But following two powers fully is not possible because one rejects the other.

WHY WE WORSHIP: THE CULTURE BEHIND RELIGION

Close-up of Hands

“Why do we need it.”

religion

As a child I would go to church with my mother and watch how people would worship. And there was something of interest the way people would extend their hands up to the heavens. And it dawned on me what people were doing. It is a form of submission and asking for help. But why were people begging for help?

Religion is one of those debates that get started as with politics that there is no real answer to in life. It is the dealing with people and their faith base, and that’s that. But why do people worship to God? What is it that makes people place their hands up. It is the one thing that all religions have in common. The need to look upward.

congregation

The meeting places of where we go to worship is quite exquisite. These regal style buildings that have paintings and glass sculptures of Jesus Christ. And every church mirrors that of old world Europe. The pews where people sit are all directed forward to hear the pastor speak. And the organs which jute into the air carrying the sounds of the piano playing.

And then there are the people who come in droves to hear the words of the bible spoken to them through the mouth of a pastor/priest. That coming together in this one place has a very fraternal/sorority feel. We all have this one group, one belief, one moral code, moving forward.

disappearing rapidly

Living in New York City, I was watching the news where a lot of churches have been closing their doors. Problem is, is that the rising rent is pushing them out and members are not coming into the house. That means once a generation ages no one is replacing them. So what happens, the doors close. So are we seeing that now?

Are we seeing a dwindling down of the culture that has been around for so may centuries? Maybe, just maybe we might be living through the end of an era.
