GET UP AND DO SOMETHING

During this quarantine, you have people who just lie around doing nothing. And the problems that stem from this can be a wide range of issues. Anything from unhealthy weight gain to blood clots from not allowing blood to flow properly. So you have to move around your apartment and get a good exercise in to stay in shape and healthy. Even stepping outside every now and then so you can get some good air and sunlight. Now for me, this is easy because I am an active person. But for someone who doesn’t exercise as much then you are more inclined to sit around the house and do even more of nothing. So get and start moving.

NOTHING OUTSIDE

Even when you leave your house and go into the world, nothing is really open. So when you do go outside it does get a little boring with nothing to do. You walk around doing the same thing and find your way back home. Trust me this is something I do everyday. And I have to say it’s very boring. So for now I try to get myself a really good walk in before heading home for the day.

THE BODY FOLLOWS THE MIND

When you are sitting around all day you will find yourself more sluggish. And you will feel more tired than you are but in reality your body is tricking itself into thinking you’re tired. So keep moving and keep safe. Inevitably you will start to make involuntary healthy bodily decisions.

THE MIND GAME

This pandemic lockdown has created a country of not only structural chaos, but mental choas as well. You have even had a string of attempted and some actually followed through with suicides from this lockdown. And it’s not the lockdown that has them suicidal. It’s the loss of a comfortable surrounding that so many have become accustomed to living. Why, well because a once thriving business owner is now destitute. A lockdown has forced employees to lose their jobs and now have to make financial decisions without a consistent income. All this has led to a mental breakdown of our country. We have not seen despair like this since the Great Depression. But what is the country to do because so many will not have a job even when the system reopens.

RATIONAL DECISIONS DIMINISH

On any other normal day, your mind is free to think about your needs and wants. And this is because your life is so predicated on what you do for a living. So when that job loss happens everything seems to come at you at once. But it’s not coming at you at once. All you’re experiencing. Is your life on a daily which is under control when you have a job. But since you’re not working that consistent windfall is actually realized. You get a chance to see the totality of your life. And you become over-burdened like, “how do I dig myself out. Problem is, you may not buried. Your mind creates more than what you’re used to but its all the same as usual. Meaning paying $2000 a month in bills is not seen when you have a job. You just pay bills toward the end of the month. But when you lose a job you see the $2000.. And seeing those numbers creates a lack of confidence ultimately creating a breakdown mentally. Then you do end up burying yourself.

KEEPING BUSY

When all you think about is your current situation then you’re going to go into an even deeper depression. So for me I have continued lifting weights as well as getting back into running. This gives you a normal routine that takes you away from your struggle. And you will be able to pick yourself up quicker than most in your same position.

EXERCISE IS NOT VANITY

“So what if you want to look good.”


LIFE IN LIFTING

I have heard people who for some reason attach exercising with vanity. Why do we think it’s shallow for people to go to the gym? Or better yet, how did we get so far away from health? The looks you get when people can obviously see that you workout. But shouldn’t we all to some extent have fitness in our lives? Now I’m not saying you have to be Jillian Michaels or the Dewayne The Rock Johnson, but only anfew days a week goes a very long way. It makes so much physically feels better. Your clothes even starts to fit your body in a manner that makes you overall feel good. And the confidence you gain is bar none compared to yourself prior. So what is the real reason so many don’t attempt?

MOTIVATION IS KEY

When you work forty hours in a week it’s going to be tough to find time to exercise. But is it all about time? Because if you actually look at time in a week, finding forty five minutes at least three times a week is very basic. So it’s not the focus of the physical time. People have a mental stress which goes along with their jobs. And the more you don’t like your job, the more it will feel like a physical strain. So the idea you can’t do it because you’re busy is not true. Even for people with children. But then factor a kid or kids with a bad job. Now you have a recipe for disaster. Yet still, you have to get the motivation from somewhere.

ADELE REACTION

When singer Adele lost her weight the backlash from some of her fans was quite excessive. She admitted it was for her own good. But there are people who would rather her be overweight so they can feel good about themselves than her health be right. It’s very selfish of society to want someone to remain in bad health so they don’t have to work. Because what Adele showed you is this is a problem. But society would rather not be faced with the reality.

THE HIGH COST OF CARE

“To broke to get sick.”


AN UNAFFORDABLE SYSTEMĀ 

Ever get the feeling that your cost of healthcare is just too much to bare. This is the feeling that millions of Americans are faced with daily. Especially during this time period when we arr in the middle of pandemic. One need to ask themselves that in the case they are sick they are covered for the cost of care. And the problem is that so many people aren’t able to pay. When you are unable to do so then you are given the bare minimum of care that falls in line with what you afford. Which is as minimal as one without insurance. You would think you are getting something worth having until you get sick. That’s when you’ll find out what your insurance can really do for you.

A BROKEN SYSTEM

What do you do when you are in an environment that does not serve the people? Yes, sure people you can afford it the system works for them. But most people can’t afford the high cost of healthcare. And even when you pay you’re still not insured. You can pay for years on end, and need financing for a sickness and get treated as if you have never paid. You would think insurance works like this, you pay for twenty five years. Then you find yourself short a good deal of money and they look at all the money you have paid into the system. And you get some sort of credit. But for some reason it does not work that way. What you really end up doing is paying for your funeral, and sometimes you can’t even afford to die.

ALL YOU CAN DO IS PRAY

Hope sometimes seem like a bottomless pit. But what else can you do bu hope. Costs aren’t getting any smaller and people are in need year by year. So unless the government is prepared to intervene you will have a continuous generation of people who cant pay.

HEALTH ON A BUDGET

“Eating healthy on the cheap.”


EAT WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD

There is this prevailing theory that in order to be able to eat good you have to spend a lot of money. But the reality is that it’s much easier than you think if you’re willing to put the time into caring what goes into your body. And here is where so many people give up. When you are working all day long the last thing you’re thinking about is meal preps. You just want to grab something quick and easy which will fill you up the quickest. And the problem with this logic is that this is how you gain the most bad weight. So what are the meals one should take into their bodies. Well that all depends on the goal you’re trying to meet.

STAY AWAY FROM FAST FOOD

I remember going to a McDonald’s eating from the dollar menu everyday. Which is very affordable but it’s one of the most unhealthy ways one can consume a meal. My pockets were fine but internally I felt like garbage. And that’s because eating from McDonald’s is the worst meal to consume on a daily basis. You continue to live like this and you’re only asking for long term effects. So I had to make a decision to keep eating this way or I would take on a new way of living. Well, you can image which road I decided to take in life.

ITS STILL YOUR LIFE

Me nor anyone else is going to make you eat the right way. You have to make that decision yourself. Because it’s not me who will have to deal later it’s your choice. But don’t say you didn’t have the opportunity. It’s a discipline thing that one has to consistently practice. It takes years to eat right and exercise even more diligently. The road is long but for most it pays off.

PAYING FOR YEARS OF ABUSE

THE PRICE OF JUNKĀ 

As we sit in our homes through this quarantine we have to be cognizant of the meals we consume. I know that’s hard given the circumstances. But not only does it leave us open to the virus for not eating properly, we can see ourselves suffering from more debilitating illnesses. And trust me I get it, the junk taste better. But the is a cost that comes with not consuming a well balanced diet. You don’t really see it when you’re younger but over time it starts to work against you. It works against you such that most people can’t reverse the damage that has been done. You don’t bounce back from a sickness at forty like you did at twenty. So know and understand the contents in which you are consuming.

IF THE MACHINE BREAKS DOWN

Try putting sand in your transmission where you’re supposed to place oil. Or add water in your gas tank instead of gas. Then when your car breaks down you will see the long term effects of what you have been doing over the years. And the shocking part is that people get surprised when they have these problems later in life. It’s because you’ve been pumping your insides full of products that just shouldn’t be there. Because even though it taste good that doesn’t mean it’s good for you. You have to be able to discern between the consuming of something because it taste delicious and the benefits it brings because of the consumption of a delicious meal.

NEVER SETTLE

Most people are under the assumption that you have to be without children and not married to stay in shape. Because you have all these priorities with a family. And the reality is that there are people with four and five children and yet their lives work with health and fitness. You have to have a certain level of motivation otherwise you’ll start to have these internal problems that might actually block you from having a life as a better parent or spouse.

GET YOUR DAILY WORKOUTS

“Good for your soul.”


ONE HOUR A DAY

We are all familiar with an apple a day keeps the doctor away. But what good is the apple without any lifting or other forms of strength training. You have to do just more than eating an apple. You have to eat a multitude of fruits as well as vegetables. Oh and not to mention the poultry and fish that is good for you as well. The right seasoning also is key to healthy lifestyle in addition to the workouts. And you really don’t have to dedicate much time to your workouts. Just one hour a day for at least three days per week. And maybe some walking on the weekends. Me, like to get in a good five days and walking a lot on the weekends.

BREAK UP THE TIME

Do you always have to go an entire hour in your workouts? And reality is that you can break up the workouts to make sense to you. Now, you don’t want the time to be broken down too much because then you don’t get a good workout in. So my best advice would be a good twenty five to thirty minutes a frw times a day. This would actually constitute more time than an hour. You might even workout more muscles at various times of the day. But don’t do anything like ten minutes unless they are truly beneficial. Now, I don’t know what those workouts might be. Maybe pushups or even situps broken down into a few sets.

WORK HYDRATE WORK

During the course of your workout make sure you are drinking enough water the entire time. The last thing you want to do is find yourself getting dehydrated because you didn’t drink enough water while you worked. It doesn’t make you tough by not doing so. I see guys at the gym who lift weights and act as if they don’t need any fuel. But the reality is that the watet serves as fuel in your body to lift more.
