Whenever you take a sip or even guzzle down a drink, understand this, it’s just like food. Whatever fluid you bring into the body, will inevitably alter the body’s chemistry. So if you bring into the body soda, you will have a breaking down of the body because it is highly acidic, and the sugar content that exist in each soda. Conversely, if you drink water the body is 75% water, so you are bringing into the body something that is natural. Water also has the benefits for the Kidneys in expelling waste. Soda drinks out the body, and this is how you can develop things like Kidney Stones. Well, what about those delicious fruity beverages. Because they have their benefits as well: kiwi, bananas, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and cherry.

I eat all the fruits I need to be eating, but there is still something wrong with my blood sugar levels. And the problem is because they have quit a bit of sugar in them as well. That is a hard concept to understand because growing you you are always told to eat your fruits and vegetables. Now you have to make sure they balance out as you age. Because something that is suppose to aid you can hurt you when your intake is too high. So you have to bring into play the vegetables, which can also be used as a beverage as well. That’s right, a veggie beverage. And you’re probably wondering what does that taste like.

Me personally, I have never had a veggie beverage. I think the idea of drinking your vegetables is something I can’t find delicious. Now, I am sure there are many health benefits from consuming vegetables this way. And by all means, if there is anyone out there who can tell me of something that is good for you, that also taste delicious, please show me in that direction. Because I am always trying to look for new places to eat food, especially if the food serves some sort of holistic benefit.

We all have someone we look to that makes us strive for something better. That person can be a relative or someone in society that has no attachment to you. When you are young athletes and entertainers inspire you so much do a lot of things in life. But when we get older a lot of times those inspirations that were great to us then are not always the people we hold close to us as we age. Siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends are the people who change our perspective. Very rare do we hold to the other public figures unless they are someone that really changed to way we think and live our lives. But when it comes to health, the people in the public eye are so many of the people that inspire us.

Anyone remember the Tai Bo exercise tapes, or better yet, we all know Richard Simmons. We see these tapes, and for those of us in shape, it really hasn’t impacted our lives. But for the people who needed that extra push to get themselves in shape, Richard Simmons was that man. He didn’t just exercise and explain to you how to stay in shape. He was so animated in making people feel like they were and could be the best version  of themselves. He inspired even the next generation of fitness gurus that dealt with weight problems, or watched someone close to them deal with issues concerning weight.

they are now watching you

Understand that when you start on your path to getting yourself in shape, there are the younger ones watching you. The next generation that will take your cues and persevere in their life’s journey. And even though you may not want the job, it is yours, because you will inspire them as others have inspired you.

Whenever we eat certain foods, remember that a generation is behind us watching. So it is in our best interest to try to make sure we set that example for the next group. They see us exercising, then they will want to follow suit and do the same. We eat certain foods good for our bodies then they will also. But there is a slight catch, young people generally don’t take their cues from older generations. They take their cues from people that are young who are in the public eye. So an athlete looks cooler eating fruits and vegetables than a middle aged man or woman. It’s the reason brands gives endorsement deals to athletes.

We do something 3 times in a row, it will continue for 5 – 10 times, and so on. That is how we will approach teaching a group underneath us. They need to understand that just as with anything in our lives that we continuously do, we have to look at the same with health. You come everyday from school and do homework, that same thing must be applied to the idea of eating right and exercising. We should have an open gym opportunity for working out like we do for open gym basketball courts. Not everyone hoops, but some want to do other things. Once we start them off early, we do so for years and they take over after a while.

we need to know as well

They don’t know if we ourselves can’t comprehend as well. There are far too many adults that are not well-educated in how to care for themselves like their offspring. And it comes as no surprise that when the parents are unhealthy so are the children. Now, for people like my mother who battled weight issues, she always told her kids to care for self because of what it did to her. So in order for “them” to do better “we” have to do better.

If you start the day off and you only have limited energy, then you need to do something better with your lifestyle to start the day off right. You should not be starting your day with limited energy because sleep is when the body restores itself. Now, there are exceptions, the elderly tend to be one of them are people who are going to be low on energy. They have lived a 70, 80, or a few 100 years on earth. It will take some time but they are able to move about. But if you are in your 20’s, 30’s, and maybe even your 40’s, struggling to wake up in the morning could be linked to some form of health concern.

You know how when you were a child your parents said eat your fruits and vegetables. Well, they were right, in addition some other eats like nuts and wheat. You need to get these foods inside of you because they provide your body not only with the energy it needs. But you also are able to remove any of the bad through your system. But if you are eating whatever, your body will start to be drained. A draining body with no matter how much sleep will be harder and harder to restore at night as you rest. So insert the proper nutrients for the body to continue after you wake up in the morning.

Exercise, yes people, you have to go to the gym, or run, or do something that will make sure that you have enough energy. I have been exercising since high school and I am in my 30’s, and I still exercise. My body only have had problems adjusting because of the new work schedule I have over the recent year. But even with that, I awake, ready for the day.  So my advice to you would be, if you’re waking up in the morning, and still tired, it may not only be your job. You might not be living the healthiest of lifestyles.

If you are out there and just so happen to stumble upon this article and you are one of those in need of the perfect body people, slow down. It’s ok if you want to go out and weight lift or run to lose weight. But realize something, not everyone is meant to be skinny. Some people are born big, and are genetically inclined to having more weight. So if you think you’re going to look like one of these Victoria Secret models, or some guy who is husky thinking he’ll be some washed board beauty, hang it up. The reality is, you are not going to be one of those people.

I have gone on the internet, and looked at photos of guys that I would like to mirror. Now, luckily for me, I have the ability over time to have the body that I see in magazines. Because even in my slim body you can see my clear muscular definition. But for most guys, they just will not have the ability to be here. That doesn’t mean that life is over and all is lost. Because contrary to what we might think as guys, women don’t all have the same stereotypical view of the man of their dreams. Women like variations in their men. Some men like a husky guy and some men want a woman with a little extra. Magazines and the internet creates this false idea of what beauty really is.

goal vs. standard

Having a distinct goal versus a standard must be addressed. It is fine to have a goal because that is something to shoot for in life. But when something becomes the standard it must be observed through a proper lens. Because something that becomes a standard can leave you depressed if you are not looking at it in a rational manner. Meaning you want to date a man 6’3 or above, 90% of men are shorter than 5’10. So if your standard is above this you’re most likely going to live out life alone. If your goal is something quite unattainable, even if you never get it, you can still be happy.

why i hurt

I come from work from my overnight shift and go to sleep because it is still in the early A.M. And when I wake up it is usually in the morning in as well. How do I get myself motivated when my mind is rattled about when and where to start my day. This is something that comes across my mind on a daily basis. You start to feel like your mind is trying to destroy you from progressing in life. And that is a tough thing because you need your mind to exist. And your mind will be the launching pad that will propel you into success. So when it goes so does the ability to succeed.

the mirror doesn’t lie, your mind does

You ever stand in front of the mirror and look at yourself with disdain? The look that you don’t like what you see and that you are never going to be better than where you are now. That feeling of image as you look in the mirror will eventually turn into your reality. And the mirror will give you a literal interpretation of what you think of yourself. Only the mirror is not a trick mirror. You will slowly turn into the person you thought you were prior to what you have become. Your own physical embodiment will shift and now you are that person you hate. Trust and believe I know what that feeling is about and have been in that place.

uncertainty and unknown

Walking into the land of who knows what is a scary place to be. Because now you are trying to maneuver in a place where you are foreign. You don’t speak the language of the land and any form of communication means nothing. And I walk through this land, not because of the city where I dwell, but life. And that is why I feel like the mind is playing tricks. What I wake up intending to do and what I actually do sometimes is different. It’s like I am in a fight with myself because I don’t ever think I look as good as I look. I don’t think I am as smart as I am. So there is this constant battle with self until I am successful at what I do in life.

Ever wake up in the morning and feel like you just can’t get yourself motivated to do anything that is of benefit to your physical health? This is something that millions of Americans deal with everyday. And the reason being is that staying in shape is such a tough feat, especially once you’re out of school and no longer have to do so. You hated it in gym class, and even more now that you’re an adult. But what happens when you are not motivated to care about your physical health? I’ll tell you what happens, so goes the quality of life with the physique. Try doing to simplest of activities when you are not in shape and see how difficult it can be. Difficulty that was not there when you were in the best shape of your life.

going about your day

You take one step, then two steps, and by the third step you have to stop and take a breather. You are going to have to ask yourself a  few questions. And one of those questions is, how much do you weigh? Are you of healthy size? And if you still feel fine, know that walking such short stints and then having to stop for air is not normal. That is your body telling you are not fine. As a human being, why are the easiest of task wearing you out? Lifting weights should make you tired, but walking halfway up the street without having to take a seat is problematic. And I know people say love yourself, but liking what you see, and what is negatively effecting your body is another. You can discredit the physician, but don’t be surprised when it happens, the drawbacks.

when enough is enough

There will have to come a day where you can no longer run away from the thing that is keeping you from motivating yourself. You will have to eventually say to yourself that you are not well. And anyone who has dealt with weight problems their entire life will tell you that they don’t truly feel good. Not being mobile so you can accomplish simple task effecting your overall quality of life is not something you want to live with over time.
