THE NEW BLACK TUESDAY: CAN WE ANTICIPATE THE NEXT MAJOR COLLAPSE

Numbers on Monitor

“When will it happen again?”

the fall to come

I told someone I work with, that the next major collapse could be coming soon. You know what, let me not exaggerate, I said that I feel something is coming in 2020 that is economically stressful. So I have been making the appropriate adjustments to try to make myself ready for the hit. Now, I am not someone who follows the market ritually, but you know how you get that feeling? It’s something you can’t describe, but you know something is about to happen. Now, that could be just paranoia, but for me, I would rather earn a little more money and make myself ready than to not be ready and get hit. But where is this feeling coming from because some people feel hopeful?

my workplace in disarray

I have been noticing changes in my workplace lately, but I have not said much to people. Just that I have this feeling about something to come. And that is because I have seen some things that have made me question if I will have a place of employment by the end of next year. So maybe the economy is going to be fine, maybe it’s me who needs to worry a little bit more. From the hours of working to the customer base coming into the store, I have been seeing a downturn. And my aim is at when it hits I can easily matriculate out into something else and earn a living. So what is really going on in the country that I feel this way?

the leadership in limbo

With President Trump facing impeachment charges, this could leave the country in an economic mess. Now, do I think he will be impeached, no, but then again, I never thought he would win either. But look at the country, we are doing better than years prior and the job market is up right now. So what could be the problem to come in 2020? And that is that if he is forced to step down from his post, it could mean that the economy is going to take a hit because now for the time being the leadership of a nation is impacted. Only if I could tell the future I would be able to feel a little more at ease. But for the time being I’ll still keep myself a little cautious. I would rather be too sure than not sure at all.

MY VOTE MY DEMISE: ARE WE TOO SERIOUS ABOUT OUR POLITICS

I Voted Sticker Lot

“In a Democratic Republic.”

who really cares

Ever since the United State President elect Donald J. Trump came to office this country has been at odds. People are going as far as cutting off their own family for their political affiliation. But the main issue that I have is not who you voted for, but why are people so invested in each others political views. We, for some reason have to be so in tuned with the reasons why someone voted. We act as if the people who are doing the voting are also making the country’s decisions. When in reality, even the people they elect are not going to be doing as much as we think they are while in power. So what is the real reason we have so much vested interest?

on my side or your side

In America you are either Democrat or Republican in this country. And if you don’t have a political affiliation then people accuse you of straddling the fence. But when you fall on the side of one of the parties then you stand a chance of upsetting someone. For me, I am more liberal then conservative, but not by much. I am about 55% liberal and 45% conservative; which makes me very moderate in this country. But for most people in America today they are either 80% or 90% on one side over the other. And they have this prevailing theory that if you are not in my party then you are against me. And in a country where we are supposed to be celebrating the freedom to choose, we are targeting people for their political party options.

it should be free

Our politics should be our free way of expression but for some reason it has changed. And the current president has caused so many people to split and choose sides. But what if he wins twice? Does that mean that more and more people are going to split and choose sides? Who knows, we will have to wait until 2020 to see how things pan out.

MINORITY SELECTION: WHO WILL BE THE NEXT MINORITY PRESIDENT

achievement, adult, african

“Whose next?”

2020 and beyond

The presidential election run of Barack Obama left a door open for the next president either Black or any other ethnic group. But the question still stands, who next? Because in my opinion, there will be a White female before anyone else. There aren’t any prominent East Asian politicians or Indians that are strong candidates. The closest Hispanic/Latino candidates would be Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz. And the only African American next that’s remotely a force would be Kamala Harris. Now, do I think this will happen in 2020, no. Because in my opinion, just observing the landscape of America, Donald J. Trump will be back in the White House in 2020.

importance

What is the real significance in having a president that is of another ethnic group. Doesn’t mean much to the group who has always seen a president that looks like them. Even now with young Black kids growing up. They didn’t understand why older Black people, typically middle aged and above, were in enamored with Barack Obama. Yet, for someone who has never seen themselves in that position it means a lot. Let’s look at something on a much smaller scale. The former New York Knicks basketball player Jeremy Lin was an anomaly in the NBA. He was an Chinese American basketball player, who not only played in the NBA, but played well for New York. The interest from the entire East Asian community created a massive following for the Knicks. So I’m thinking, what would happen if there was a “Lin” for president.

what is a minority really

We always look at the word minority and say to ourselves, ethnicity. But what about the first White female president and a member of the LGBT community of any ethnic group. We will in our lifetime see a president that is one of the two mentioned in the previous sentence. The questions are who and when will it take place. Because from the looks of America right now, Donald Trump, or another like him (White male, older conservative), will be president if not him. Does it matter if we do have another president of a minority group? Does it have to be another African American? How about Hispanic? What about Native American? How about a White person, but a female? East Asian? Or is America going to stick with what has been in history which is White males? Because we all say pick the most qualified candidate, but I am intrigued to know when these historic moments occur, who really votes from the job or the historical image.

TWO TERM TRUMP: COULD A DOUBLE WIN EFFECT THE ECONOMY

Silhouette of People Beside Usa Flag

“A successful 2020 run.”

two times the charm

Sitting here and observing the landscape of the United States socially and politically, you can’t help but to acknowledge the idea of Trump winning twice. What could happen if anything from a second win? I know that a strong amount of the young demographic is now pushing back against the president. But is it really enough to stop a second run and ultimate victory?

debates

There was yet another school shooting in Texas, and more gun debate. There are issues surrounding law enforcement and racial intolerance. All of which could negatively effect an economy. So what are people to do if there is a sharp downturn from nothing being created in society. We are creating separation among people, but no real economic growth. But is it all what it’s cracked up to be.

truth in lies

Is there anything to the idea that mass media is pushing a lot of the stories that are creating a crazy climate? And if so, is there something to gain financially from this climate of fighting. Is our economy really performing and this fighting is nothing more than just hype to scare people? What if the country is really on an upswing? Is this attributed to the Trump administration and what is being reported on the news does not tell the full story?

hard truth

In reality, it may be very difficult to win another election for Trump. Nearly half the country didn’t vote the first time and Hilary Clinton still almost won. Now there is a lot of those nearly half who wish they had voted in favor of Democrat. What could that mean for the Republican Party if people do show out? And if people show up and he wins twice, will the wave of social and political issues continue to be the face of the nation and overshadow the economic growth.
