MIND IS MINE: WHY ONLY CERTAIN PEOPLE SHOULD OCCUPY YOUR HEAD SPACE

“Protect it to the fullest.”

cerebral protection

Are you one of these people who let others opinions seep into your brain? The world has a lot of ideas as to how you should live your life. And the only person that has to live that life is you. Only thing about that is, we are creatures who seek attention from the outside world. No one wants to live their life alone, so your have to be willing to fit into a group in order to coexist. Only problem is that group might have a way they want you to present yourself. If it does not align with the group, then the group politics dictate that you need to be on the outside of the group.

keeping it simple

Ask yourself a few questions regarding the people who come into your mental space, or better yet, your physical space. Why are they allowed access into your arena that is your mind?  How close are these people to you in life? And that is why it becomes so hard for you to get rid of these people. They are right next to you everyday and have been your entire life or at least most of it. So, how I operate is to keep things simple. Look at your life and pick out the things that are the most important to you first. Then scale back from there the things most important in life in general, not just what you think. Because everything we think is important is not always important.

accept me or reject me

You have to learn to be hard, but also righteous in how you carry yourself. Meaning if you want people in your head space that are going to provide the mental nutrients you need to succeed, it means being a dictator with regards to who enters your space. It takes time and normally for people it can take them their whole lives to get to this point. But once you do, it will make your existence easier.

TAKING YOURSELF TO ANOTHER PLACE: HAVING GOOD MENTAL ENERGY

Silhouette of Person Sitting Beside Body of Water

“Leave here and go elsewhere.”

state of mind

Beginning this month, I wanted to start out talking about good physical health. Well, here is the topic about good mental health. Because we seem to think that good physical health is good mental health. But it’s the other way around. If you want your body to be healthy, your mind has to be in a certain place. That’s why you are able to get out of bed and exercise. You have never heard of anyone with good mental health who takes care of their bodies. They are usually engaging in something that is harmful to them on some level. I have had the bad mental energy throughout my 20’s, and it showed in my body. So if your mind is not right, sometimes you have to leave this body and enter another celestial place. Well, how does one do that.

the internal escape

I love walking the streets of New York City and creating these very engaging scenarios that make me act them out in my head. Then I snap back to reality and realize that my day has been filled with something to think about other than my struggles. Having that void filler is crucial when trying to cope in day to day society. Putting yourself in an engaging scenario can aid you in exploring especially someone like me, when trying to stretch your mind creatively. But even when are not operating in a creative space, you’ll be surprised with what you find out about yourself. I have managed to deal with my depression and anxiety because I escape. And being with my thoughts creatively aids me in writing, which is a career goal for me.

tap into your inner solar system

The title of this header sounds rather ominous, but it can work if you know how to do so. You see, the human body must be looked at from the standpoint of the universe where our planet resides. And that means being able to look inside of yourself from the standpoint of how we look at Earth relative to the planets and stars in space. Put it this way, what sits at the center of the planets where everything is drawn to, the sun. All the planets are drawn to the sun, and rotate around the sun. The brain is the central nervous system of the body. And the entire body operates based on how the brain processes information and sends signals to pump blood throughout the body. So you can figure out what planets lie where, and feed them so they can make your body work properly. Meaning the kidneys need water, exercise for the heart, berries for the liver, whole grain for the intestines.

GOING TO A DARK PLACE: WHEN THE PAIN STARTS TO TAKE A TURN FOR THE WORSE

adult, african american man, angry

“Rage from racism.”

a transfer of hurt

What happens when you come from a group of people that have dealt with such trauma now you’re in that nasty head space. Whenever I look into the eyes of some of my people, I can’t help but to see the flying debris in their eyes. It scares me to know that deep down inside, some of us have transitioned into that space of hate. And not just the I wish something bad would happen to you space. But the space of I want anyone who even looks like the person who hurt to feel the same level of pain I feel.

deep and dark

“I wish this person would feel________.” And that is the point at which we have lost that sense of humanity. And where does it come from? I have gone into a dark place a few times after watching videos of police shootings. Not even knowing the circumstance of the case, you instantly think of the worse things imaginable. Everything from the person being fired to someone harming their children. And then after that feel there is subsiding feeling soon after. That’s when you’ve hit the deep end. Once you now feel satisfied with others who have no attachment being hurt, you are in that dark space. And how does it creep into the mind? Why does it last for so long? What is with that creepy satisfaction?

psychology of hurt

I am driving in a car, and a cop pulls me over. I am slammed on the hood and people without knowing what happened says good job. Then I say to myself, fine if that’s what it’s about maybe I should dole it out someone anyone. Trying to go into the psychology of people angry or hurt especially in racial situations is tough. Not just because of the history behind it, but that fact that we are not as honest as we make ourselves out to be. We are not a gut out of mouth society, so we can’t fully get to just of a real feeling behind emotion. But where in the brain do we instantly go to a place of rage in these situations. It comes from held in anger and then released at certain moments.

MENTAL TRANSFER: CAN YOU LEND ENERGY TO OTHERS UNKNOWINGLY

Related image

“The gift that keeps giving.”

WHAT IS MENTAL ENERGY?

The mental energy that we possess is the ability to regulate our blood pressure and the increase performance of a specific task at hand. That means, if I am working on something that I find pleasure in performing and the task at hand creates a sense of pleasure, I will release good mental energy. That energy will inevitably contribute to happiness, motivation, focus, and the willpower to keep fighting in life. And it is this energy that can be released to other people around you. Well, how does that take place?

THERMAL DYNAMICS

The mathematician, astronomer, theologian and physicist Sir Isaac Newton theorized that energy is neither lost nor destroyed, just transferred from one party to the next. This means you can transfer your negative or positive energy on to other people. Meaning, you ever get into an argument and after the person who started the argument is feeling good, you’re drained? That is because the energy of the negative person is transferred to the other party. That would mean the same goes for good mental energy. You have someone come across you with good mental energy and they can shift your emotion. Whatever you may be going through, they have made your day better.

EFFECTS OF THE RECEIVER

If you are the person receiving the energy from someone else, it can in return move your life into another direction. And what’s interesting is that energy does not necessarily have to be close connect. Author of the famous novel, “A Return to Love,” Marianne Williamson has a well known quote which speaks to energy in her Deepest Fears passage of the book. She speaks about, “Once you let your own light shine, you will unconsciously give others permission to do the same.” “For when you are liberated from your own fears, your presence automatically liberates others.” That simply means, once people feel your energy and see your move to greatness, it allows them to be free to pursue their dreams because they feel so connected to you.

KEEPING THAT GOOD FEELING

One of the hardest jobs is maintaining that good feeling. It’s easy for someone to infiltrate your mind and turn a seemingly good mental energy into bad mental energy. That’s why it’s good to surround yourself with good people. Because anything or anyone you put into your immediate circle that brings more bad than good, it will rub off on to you. That also goes for the music you listen to, programming you watch, and the publications you read.

TALK WITH SELF: IT’S NOT CRAZY IT’S HOW YOU WORK PROBLEMS

analysis, blackboard, board

“You’re not crazy, you’re just deep in thought.”

INTRODUCTION

You ever see people walking down the street and having conversations with themselves? It’s something you see all too often in New York City. But the ones who are having a real full on conversation that you can hear are the ones with other issues going on in their head. Me on the other hand, I have these conversations with self to work out problems. In which I will take myself out of body to have a conversation with self as if it’s more than one person. Then once I figure out solutions to these problems, I come back as one person, and learn to overcome obstacles.

WHY? WHY? WHY?

Now you might ask of me, “Why not just have a conversation with someone else; you know like a real human being?” Well, that’s not a crazy suggestion. The only problem with that, is that sometimes you want a solution to a real complex problem, and not an emotional driven response. Far too often when you have an issue geared at something more complex, people want to interject their belief systems into the equation. And that is such a divisive and ambiguous situation where you get nowhere. It’s actually (talking to self) how we have solved some of the most complex of science problems and found scientific discoveries. These problems solved and discoveries come from the ability to take yourself out of self to solve problems for self with no emotion in it.

HUH, HOW DOES THAT WORK!

Some of you might still be confused as to how you remove yourself from your body into the body of the thinker and not emotional. Because we all have an emotion that drives us and compels us to react a certain way. So how does one differ from the rest of society? This is how one differs from the rest of society. We all have the ability to be logical and rational. But for the most part, people who can create mathematical, scientific, technological, etc. breakthroughs are people who can get out of their own way. Meaning, having the emotion, yet checking it at the door to create something for the greater good. The majority of society can’t because we all feel what we believe is real. Intellectuals just realize, that overall, the majority of humans emotions aren’t going to progress society, so they don’t mean much. So with that, they can take themselves away from self, check their bias at the door, and ultimately create greatness in the their lives and the world at large.

THERAPY SESSION: SHOULD EVERYONE GO VISIT AT SOME POINT IN THEIR LIVES

“Nothing wrong with reaching out every now and then.”

Have any of you considered therapy? There is nothing wrong with getting your problems out there to be discussed and worked on. Trust me, I have been down that road. But I found something in writing that is my therapy. As a matter of fact, my writing is a career path of mine. Imagine that, my career pursuit is my thing that keeps me balanced. But it hasn’t always been that way. There was a time I needed those therapy sessions. And as a matter of fact I still have the business card in my wallet.

Now let me ask you, do you or have you ever felt like therapy was of use or help? Bringing that working professional who knows what he/she is talking about is crucial in you finding out your problems. Or maybe you might think life is fine but that therapist helps you uncover something you never even knew was there inside of you. Now for years there have been stigmas attached to visiting a therapist. But we are in a more open time period than in the past. You can be honest about issues that you have and also be honest about the ways you are working to fix these problems.

See because step one is admitting a problem exist. Then the next step is reaching out for the help. The third step is opening up, then getting somewhere. Once you feel comfortable enough where you made a breakthrough, you have a few choices. Do like I did and stop because you found a better way to treat a problem. Or, you can keep following up with your therapist with routine checkups. Whatever the case may be, we all have something going on in our lives where some extra assistance could be of use. So keep searching and continue to work to find your way.

MENTAL/HEALTH: JANUARY TOPIC

asia, beautiful, believe

“Center yourself both inside and out.”

FOCUS

Starting this month my blog will look a lot different from the previous years when I started in August of 2015. Each month will be dedicated to a particular topic of interest. And at least 12 times per month, I will be incorporating a video/and or graphical charts with my particular takes on a subject.

ASKING THE WHY

This month, I will be focusing on the mental. Doesn’t matter if it’s mental thinking, our mental health, or even how well the brain works to enable us to do what we do in society on a daily basis. It’s a topic of interest to me for quite some time. How well does the human brain work? How do we use it because of our thought? And why we should maintain a healthy mental state. I will also be placing quite a few views on physical health as well.

ABOUT THIS MONTH

As you can see, the topics will not be spread out, but will more so be condensed into a shorter post. These shorter posts are meant to focus more on the graphical information, charts, videos I provide, with shorter quick reads. So January will be what I deem as, “Mental/Health Month.” After January, no more will be pertaining to mental health until January of 2019.

CONCLUSION

So for this entire year while I build my blog further, I will condense things into a more interactive space. I want you to think more on a particular topic longer. Whereas in the past, I was posting randomly throughout the year. I want you to think, I want you to reply, I want you to share, I want you to like, and hopefully you will follow. So be on the lookout for all that I have to offer and bring to you for the upcoming year. Also, be sure to continue to support my other platforms as well which are listed below.
