in a world of hurt

Studies have recently came out and found that people are far more depressed in today’s society than ever before. Now, a lot of signs have pointed to the consuming aspect of social media. The idea that no matter how well you’re doing, someone somewhere is doing better than you. And if you are constantly comparing yourself to people on social media, then yes, you will be mentally hurt. And that is why the state of our mental health has been in such a low place recently. But what is even more sinister is the idea that people have become to infatuated with making other people lose everything they have ever worked for because we are so unhappy. Whoever thought that we would be so unhappy that someone else getting ripped makes us feel good.

whose to really blame

If the state of our mental health is so low, then who should be held responsible? the answer to that question is us. We are to held liable for our own hurt not some internet portal. We shouldn’t see Instagram or Facebook taken away because content makes people unhappy. Because people always have a way of turning it off. There are close to 1 billion people on Facebook, but 7 billion people in the world. That means you are on it because of choice. We seem to look for places to get us angry when it really is as easy as unfollow. The things that makes us unhappy we can detach quicker than we know. Reality is, we are addicted ti the anger. It almost gives us a sense of belonging in a world where no one sees us.

nothing new but the weather

A lot of our issues we have always had as a society, it’s just that we have not never had an outlet like today to express ourselves. So now we just pour all of our emotions out for the world to see and hear. And what it has done was expose what was already there, yet not everyone could see. And that is that we have, a serious metal health problem in our world. Now, like I said before, we have to fix our own problems, but it’s hard to fix the problem if people won’t even admit they have a problem to start.

cerebral protection

Are you one of these people who let others opinions seep into your brain? The world has a lot of ideas as to how you should live your life. And the only person that has to live that life is you. Only thing about that is, we are creatures who seek attention from the outside world. No one wants to live their life alone, so your have to be willing to fit into a group in order to coexist. Only problem is that group might have a way they want you to present yourself. If it does not align with the group, then the group politics dictate that you need to be on the outside of the group.

keeping it simple

Ask yourself a few questions regarding the people who come into your mental space, or better yet, your physical space. Why are they allowed access into your arena that is your mind?  How close are these people to you in life? And that is why it becomes so hard for you to get rid of these people. They are right next to you everyday and have been your entire life or at least most of it. So, how I operate is to keep things simple. Look at your life and pick out the things that are the most important to you first. Then scale back from there the things most important in life in general, not just what you think. Because everything we think is important is not always important.

accept me or reject me

You have to learn to be hard, but also righteous in how you carry yourself. Meaning if you want people in your head space that are going to provide the mental nutrients you need to succeed, it means being a dictator with regards to who enters your space. It takes time and normally for people it can take them their whole lives to get to this point. But once you do, it will make your existence easier.

HATING MY LIKENESS: HOW TO COPE WITH NOT LOVING YOURSELF

i am hurting

You ever look in the mirror and the reflection is what you can’t stand to see. But it is the human that is staring back at you that hurts to see. You are struggling to cope with your existence that is you on the planet. And how do you fix not liking yourself and wanting to be something else? You are smart, attractive, successful, but something is missing. Can it potentially be love? Well, some people have love for others and the utmost compassion, but they are hurting. What is the underlying problem that is wrong with you? I not only have I been there, but I still struggle in my mind being this person some times where I wish I didn’t turn on the lights in the bathroom.

mental madness

Let me give you an insight into my mental craziness. I was born in the year 1987 and coming up on 32 years of age. And my mind has been this weird field of up and down chaos. I have spent so much of my life depressed and shying from people. It was due to being poor and physically not feeling like I measured up to standards. Here I am 32 years of age trying to reclaim a life I never lived. Growing up in a household with my sisters and mother, not having a man to build your identity, the flower blooms in certain ways. For me it meant not shedding a tear for everything and trying to find my way in a world where no one fully understands you because there is a gender gap in the house. So you question yourself: mentally, socially, sexually, and physically. Luckily for me, I know why I hated what I looked at. Some people will never make it to that point.

reinvention

Here is the great part about living in New York City. I can recreate myself at any point in time. That really aids in you trying to break out of the funk that you are in. Now, that doesn’t mean everyone in New York is happy. What it means is for someone like me, I can continue to move forward because everyday I walk outside I am dealing with multitudes of people who know nothing about me. I can always focus on me and what I need to do in life.

THOUGHTS LEAD TO ACTION: WHAT THOUGHTS TRULY MANIFEST INTO REALITY

our thoughts

We have these thoughts on a daily that creep into our minds. And it can haunt us because often these thoughts translate into actions. That is the quote that exist; your thoughts become actions. But why do your thoughts become actions? I think a lot of things in my life, some good and some bad. But only very few stick in mind. Because I might be afraid to fly, but still fly. I might see myself as bird with flight like capabilities. But the only things that manifest is when I feel I can’t accomplish my goals. What is it about those particular thoughts that stick out the most?

real thoughts matter

The thoughts that stick in our minds and become actions are the thoughts where success in life is involved. When we see ourselves as a bird that can fly, it means nothing because humans don’t have flight capabilities. Yet when we see ourselves never succeeding our career, then the thoughts manifest itself. One of the reasons is that the things such as flight like a bird are a disbelief. No matter how many times I say I can’t flight, doesn’t matter, no human can. Succeeding in your career is a must to coexist in society. So it becomes a necessity. Anything that is need based becomes frozen in the mind. Another reason for people manifesting the success versus failure thoughts over others because it speaks to a want. I don’t want to swim across the Pacific Ocean from California to China. But on the other hand, I want to learn how to swim. Appealing to my want and not thinking I can, will keep me from ever learning to swim.

suspension of disbelief

Remember what I said earlier about flying like a bird. Scrape that, you can fly like a bird. I know it sounds crazy to discredit all of what I had just said. But there is a context to my speech. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish you have to remove reality to some degree. We had to think about flying like birds to create aviation. Because no human flies, we have to look at the closest thing that mirrors our creations. So in order to accomplish something that is a feat no human can physically do, but a machine can, your thoughts really have to be aligned properly. Because now, you are thinking outside the box and defying logic to accomplish a task. So protect your mental state because it can really alter your perception of the world around you and ultimately negatively effecting your directed path in life.

PHYSICALLY HEALTHY, BUT MENTALLY HURT: HOW TO FIX THIS SITUATION

FINE ON THE INSIDE, HURT ON THE INSIDE

What happens in life when you feel good health wise? Better than you have ever felt in your life, but you still are not happy. That is the feeling of so many people. They feel sick and go to the doctor’s office only to find out they’re good. So what is the issue with them feeling so bad? I have been down this road where I feel hurt but I am not hurt. What could it possibly be that is making me hurt so bad. And I have written in prior posts how I have dealt with depression in my life. Where does this come from?

PLACES OF ORIGIN

Now, we can look to all these scientific reasons why we are physically healthy but mentally broken. It could be a chemical imbalance, or you are worrying about issues that are out of your control. People who consistently stress are the hypochondriacs and more severe are those who suffer from Munchausen Syndrome. Is there a definite way to cure such issues with people internally? Will there ever come a day where we figure out a cure for hurt, anxiety, and depression; best guess is no.

STEPS

There are ways that you can fix such issues. Now, that doesn’t mean everyone will be cured, but there are ways to treat. And even means of treating for those unable to afford clinical treatment.

  1. Admit that you are hurt and in pain. Knowing what the issue is, is important in finding a treatment.
  2. Be honest with yourself and be able to decipher if the problem is something within or outside. I say this because a lot of people have problems stemming from themselves. Yet they need someone else to shift blame to besides themselves.
  3. Next, know and understand that you are not alone with the issue that you have in life. So many deal with the same problems that you have to bear.
  4. Find a means of sharing your thoughts of how you feel in life. This is why I blog, write my books, and screenplays. Finding a way to cope with all you have to deal with by expressing yourself and getting it out into the world. Know you will be critiqued, but it’s about the bigger picture.
  5. Realize that putting yourself out there and excepting yourself removes the power others could potentially have to use your hurt against you.
  6. From taking back control over yourself and sharing with the world, you have the confidence to persevere. Living your truth is the most powerful realization in the world.
  7. Continue to persevere, but don’t forget for one moment where you used to be once you get to where your happiness takes you. It’s far too easy to get lost and digress back to those hurt times.

CONCLUSION

Above all, happiness is such an ambiguous term. What does that really mean? What does healthy living really mean? Some people never smoke and get cancer, while others drink a lot and live to great ages. Some people will have an abundance of wealth and lack satisfaction, while others live middle class and always remain content. Finding your balance is the main focus when living the good life.
