Understanding your health is crucial in being able to live a long health life. But as time progress, what will the standards for tracking health become? Will we start to see microchips implanted into the body that will be able to track with 99% accuracy a health problem is on its way before we get the sickness? Because think about it, a chip placed in the brain, which is the central nervous system of the body, so that it can detect cancer in its very beginning stages. This would mean that the disease wouldn’t stand a chance of growing, must less spreading throughout the body. And thus allowing people to live longer disease free until they pass away.
As with any clinical trial, the cost associated with this type of development would be staggering. The initial cost would have to be raised by through public, but more so the private sector. And this sector could most likely be from already wealth individuals who have the ability to give $100 million, $500 million, or even $1 billion for research. Only downside for society is that these are the people who would be the beneficiaries first. But with them putting up so much wealth, why not. But with anything else in our society, the initial cost are always high before it plateaus and comes affordable for everyone.
In developing something so ground breaking, we have to make sure that we are holding ourselves to a certain level of decor in dealing. Because having such information about another human being can be an upside when treating them. But the information about patients can also be used to the benefit of the doctor and/or hospital. Because with hundreds of patients, or even thousands of visits in a year at a hospital, medical reps looking to sell products could make a killing if they have information about a hospital and their job is to sell products and services. It now becomes a race for more and more information about another human being. So morals and ethics will come in to play eventually.
The good over the long haul could easily outweigh the bad. Because imagine what this will do for the productivity of society. People living longer because they don’t have diseases. We could work for longer periods of our lives and retire much much later on. And it could contribute to the overall growth of of our existence.
Having a conscious is something that is baffling on so many levels. And those of you who are unfamiliar with what is a conscious. A conscious is the ability to have the understanding of the world around you, to be awake. Now, in today’s society, people throw that word around so freely its pitiful. But how many people are truly awake. But that was a question for last month’s topic of the mind. This is the science behind why we have a conscious and how it works. So how does it work and why do we have one?
the mechanics of the mind
The small illustration below shows the mechanics of how man uses the conscious in our initial stage of life on this planet. We have a problem we have to solve, but in order to solve that problem we must be able to seek out a way to fix the problem. So in the beginning of time man had rain coming down. In order to keep from getting wet, man sought refuge in places that didn’t have rain entering. This was the place of man’s immediate home for living. And just like that, we started our path to what would be today. So the explanation is quite straight forward for how it works. Problem/Obstacle → theories to deal with problem → find a solution to the problem → problem solved → continue to enhance understanding for future problems.
why we have one
Why do we have one? We have one because it is the reason that has kept us alive for so long. Without being able to understand the sudden changes, certain obstacles placed before us, we would have died off. And from this we developed a communication link to keeping others from falling victim. And from there we started to develop language, and from there on we can build off of more to create working civilizations. The conscious also aids us in helping others because we could see ourselves in that same position. So we have one to continue to exist. The moment we become less aware, we become slaves to our own vulnerability.
In the month of January, I dedicated the entire month to the mind and our health. Our perceptions and perspective of the world, and what we must do to focus on our health. Now, next month will be a new topic that will cover something different. This is the beginning for what hopefully will be a major year for my blog growth. So follow along with me as we take the journey through the year of 2018 together. This post will be very short considering it is just a wrap up for the month. I have two three more days for posting so stay close to your devices. Next month will be focused on science. I have twelve key topical post that will be given to you with a video before the blog read. And the other days will consist of free-write ideas. So, enjoy, and see you next month. Continue to like, share, follow, and comment!!!!!!
Those out there who have weak minds are constantly willing and able to be led astray. And notice I said willing and able because above all, you control your mind. But those who possess a weak mind don’t want to admit that they have an issue, or have convinced themselves that how they think is real. These are also the people who have some internalized secret, some form of hurt, that is coming out in some form. Could be a person who has a hard time dealing with loss, has turned to drugs to cope. Or the person who grew up without a father having turned to a pimp for guidance.
HOW DO YOU SPOT THEM?
We all know they exist, and some of you might be a weak mind yourself. But how do you spot those who hold a weak mindset. Well, here is a truth behind the weak mind. Humans have evolved into creatures where we have the ability to make a perceived rational decision. Perception is important because you may be wrong from time to time, but you perceive this to be a good decision. From that, it becomes held belief, perspective. Yet, not all beliefs should be followed. But instead of questioning the belief, we delve deeper. And someone looking to capitalize will see this and give you the answers you want to hear. They know it’s wrong, but it’s to their benefit over you.
KEEPNG YOUR MIND SHARP
For anyone out there in the world, keeping your mind sharp is a tough feat. You have all sorts of feelings going through your body that you think are real. Some are and some aren’t, it’s all about process of eliminating what’s not important. But if you hold on to everything without challenging the belief, you’ll find yourself going down a rabbit when forced to rationalize your belief. Then that burden of proof will shine through, showing you the real. Weak minds will fight back against the real, and further take themselves down that rabbit hole. Furthermore opening themselves up to manipulation.
We all move about our daily lives not thinking about how our minds work. Only do we think about how the mind works when we are given a medical diagnosis. Then our minds start to move all over the place. But what about on a daily when we are moving about throughout society. Ever show yourself to society without even realizing you’re showing yourself to the world around you. These involuntary actions that you don’t think about that make you who you are in life. And they’re only involuntary because you have built yourself into this person.
Most of our behavior is involuntary actions that we don’t think about doing. Liking waking up going to the bathroom, brushing our teeth, taking a shower. We don’t generally think about these things in the moment, we just do. But what about actions such as talking to ourselves as we move throughout society. And the only way you know you’re doing this is when people start to stare. And after a while, you start to get this feeling that everyone is looking at you. Now we curve the behavior, but it’s only a matter of time before you start again. It’s not necessarily due to a mental problems. You could be working out issues mentally that come out verbally. So you have to learn how to talk to self with mouth closed and mind wondering as to not come off crazy.
STATS OF BEHAVIOR
When looking at statistical data concerning our behavior, below is an example of how professionals might try to make correlations between two variables. (The graph below is a fictional chart, only meant to express how data is shown, not a real study).
The above graph is an example of how behavior would be looked at through the lens of a professional. Showing how depression could lead to higher levels of negativity in ones life, where the lines represent people tested. So with higher levels of depression more negativity, but the lower the depression, the lower the negativity. And both these variables could ultimately have major impacts on someone’s life.
THE SHIFT IS UP TO YOU
So, where you want to wind-up is up to you. Do you want to be someone whose negative actions define them? Because understanding how you behave and knowing how to shift that behavior is pivotal in happiness, satisfaction in life, and success.
The more we become aware of who we are, are we starting to see humanity become more and more depressed? Are we hitting this point where we are so in the know that it’s bringing people down? Because if you are a science buff, then you have reason to believe that people are not going anywhere special after death. And if that is to be held as factual over time, then how will that fair with man knowing that this is it? Or, are we going to see the complete opposite? People may become more empathetic once we fill that this is it for us on Earth.
– Graphical chart
The chart below shows the science of the way in which humanity has evolved in the mind over time.
The information above was found from the → Smithsonian website regarding how the brain has evolved over time. The independent dots represent the different stages of human evolution, while the dots attached to lines shows what happened between that time years ago.
At the highest point we are at 4 – 6 million years ago when scientist stated that brain size increased giving us the ability to walk upright and make simple tools.
The second point shows where the brain and the body increases with respect to each other about 2 million to 800,000 years ago. At a time where we also ventured throughout the globe and came in contact with many different ways of life and survival.
Then the third point is represented by the lowest point; and this is where we experienced the climate change and how we as humans adapted to our surroundings as well as our interactions with each other. A time where life was unpredictable and the brain had to adjust; 200,000 to 800,000 years ago.
WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
All of this information we have and will have in the future means that once we continue to experience shifts and changes in climate and our relationships with each other grows, so will our brains. And once you get in the know it’s impossible to go backward. But will it make people more depressed and more vulnerable? So far, we have lasted this long on Earth and we have learned and continue to learn every step of the way. So being too in the know is only scary to generations who have lived a long time on Earth and watch drastic change from when they were young. We aren’t knowing too much too soon, you are just getting old and can’t handle it, and you’re rejecting new information that you believed for so long to be false.
Starting this month my blog will look a lot different from the previous years when I started in August of 2015. Each month will be dedicated to a particular topic of interest. And at least 12 times per month, I will be incorporating a video/and or graphical charts with my particular takes on a subject.
ASKING THE WHY
This month, I will be focusing on the mental. Doesn’t matter if it’s mental thinking, our mental health, or even how well the brain works to enable us to do what we do in society on a daily basis. It’s a topic of interest to me for quite some time. How well does the human brain work? How do we use it because of our thought? And why we should maintain a healthy mental state. I will also be placing quite a few views on physical health as well.
ABOUT THIS MONTH
As you can see, the topics will not be spread out, but will more so be condensed into a shorter post. These shorter posts are meant to focus more on the graphical information, charts, videos I provide, with shorter quick reads. So January will be what I deem as, “Mental/Health Month.” After January, no more will be pertaining to mental health until January of 2019.
So for this entire year while I build my blog further, I will condense things into a more interactive space. I want you to think more on a particular topic longer. Whereas in the past, I was posting randomly throughout the year. I want you to think, I want you to reply, I want you to share, I want you to like, and hopefully you will follow. So be on the lookout for all that I have to offer and bring to you for the upcoming year. Also, be sure to continue to support my other platforms as well which are listed below.
