DIGITAL LEARNING: WHAT WILL HAPPEN OF SCHOOLS IN THE FUTURE

Photo of Woman Teaching

“The next step in American learning.”

the classroom

The classroom has taken on many different faces over time in America. But the future could hold something different in this country as well. Especially with the fight that teachers already have with maintaining the attention of the class in such a digital era. Kids constantly are on their cell phones and other mobile devices, that the teachers now have to almost assimilate to the new way of grabbing their attention. So much so, now teachers are promoting learning tools that are more interactive outside the classroom. But what happens when the interactive experience removes the in school learning experience in all?

remote location

We are already starting to see teachers give lesson plans in colleges where you don’t have to physically show up to class. But what happens when this becomes the norm for grade levels in elementary through high school? Then you’re going to have push back from parents who want their small child in school. Because they need to know how to communicate with teachers and other students. This is going to be their first hand account in how to resolve conflicts and deal with other people. Once that is removed you now have more than just learning that is gone. You miss out on all the personal relationships you build. Students who would otherwise make friends in school are now missing out in getting to know their classmates. But is everything as bad as it seems?

opportunities

With the downs, there is life in the digital learning outside the class. It could force students to build communities with others not in their school as well. Why, well the internet gives you opportunity to experience dealing with people you otherwise wouldn’t meet. Imagine a digital learning environment for kids like playing a Call of Duty video game. You are connected to a kid in China from New York; or connecting to an Indian kid from Iowa. There is this global base that would bring people closer together with this new digital model.

OUT OF THEIR HANDS: HOW THE GOVERNMENT LOST THE INTERNET

Blue Screen of Death in Silver Black Laptop

“How it got away.”

http://www.com

Long before the average American started to use the http, the www, the dot com, the government had the internet for its own personal uses. But then as a means of opening it up, the public became aware and started our own uses. Then the one lane highway turned into a 100 lane highway on both sides of the road, with only two or three patrol cars monitoring traffic. And you probably think to yourself, how in the world do you watch so much going on? And the answer to the question is they don’t watch everything. There is way two much going on to do that considering it is not uncommon to have multiple browsers open per person on the internet. How do you watch billions of people who may have anywhere from three to nearly ten open at once.

where is it going

Something so massive, one might often think where in the hell is this machine going. Because no one owns the internet. How do you say for certain where it is headed? The only thing you can do is sit back watch how everything plays itself out. But it will go further into depths that even the ones who have been using it for years will start to unwind. Because as time progress people get used to something and then they get stuck in a way. Now it’s hard for them to understand the new trend. And for the people in the future it will be the outer net.

dark net

The steps below the internet that have been in the news in recent years and that is the outer net and the dark net. The dark net, a very bottom part of the ocean that very few people access. It is a space known having items and other services that you won’t find on traditional internet websites. On the dark net, you can find a lot more illegal activity that is way too obvious on the internet. You can buy guns, drugs, even hired hitmen on the dark net. But the dark net has become a subject for debate because of not only narcotics, but child sex trafficking. This is a main reason why the dark net has been focused on by the government.

TOXIC TECHNOLOGY: WHEN ITS USE IS NOT THE INTENTIONS OF THE CREATOR

Two Men Holding Red and Gray Crt Tvs in Front of Faces

“Not the intended use.”

technological reasons

We don’t realize it, but there were alternate uses for some of the technology we have in today’s society. Like the television was supposed to be created as an educational tool for learning. Yet today we are constantly inundated with mass media. So what causes an invention such as the television to go from its original use to what it is today? And the answer would have to be generating revenues. Once people attach themselves to something it starts to grow and become bigger than its intention and inventor. Amazon was supposed to be only a online book store created by Jeff Bezos. But now Amazon is an organization where you can purchase almost any item you desire sold by some small vendors. Not to mention they now own Whole Foods grocery store.

who decides

What is the decision making for what this new tool will become? And the reality is not the person that created it. Because once people in a different position realize how they can exploit the situation they do. Oppenheimer and his message to the president of the United States in the past when he said, “Mr. President, I think I have blood on my hands,” after the atomic bomb drop. Or how Nobel created dynamite, and aimed at fixing his effects by creating the Nobel Prize competition. Only problem is that atomic bombs have become bigger and the average Joe now has their hands on dynamite. This is when the problem is crazy once it is out of the hands of the creator and into the hands of the optimist.

can we go back

Is there a way to fix what has happened once the damage is done? And sadly enough there is no way because what has become of the creation is so far gone. There is no way to bring the television back to when it was a tool for learning. Why, well there are just too many viewpoints that have shaped our minds about television. Also the internet has made television seem outdated and antiquated. So what you do is move forward the best way possible. And hopefully the future will look a lot more bright than the bleakness of our present state.

ONLINE BANKING: HOW IT MAY CHANGE OVER TIME

Person Holding Smartphone in Front of Desk

“Tracking more than expenses.”

no need to drive up

I remember as a child growing up we didn’t have a car. And the bank where my mother was at had a drive through. She would walk to the window and withdraw cash from her account or get a money order. But today is vastly different from the days of watching my mother retrieve cash form the bank. You no longer have to walk to any window. You can do everything online. Well you can almost do everything online. Because what will happen when the day comes where you don’t need the people behind the counters? Then you’re going to have a whole other ball game.

online teller

Machines are slowly taking over to the point you are going to have to speak with a teller over the internet. Imagine trying to conduct business with an automated voice telling you how to go about conducting your daily business. We already are irritated whenever we call anywhere and need that voice. Because speaking to a live person is so much different than a machine. There are questions that someone might have that then machine cannot pick up on where you need someone to talk out your problems. But what happens when not only the machine understands the basics, but little nuances, then you’re real trouble.

cashless

You used to have to carry around cash, and the thought of using a card was a no go. But now, I can’t tell you the last time I really touched cash. There is really no need unless you truly have to do so. And that is where we are headed in America. We are headed toward a cashless society. So if you are not used using cards for everything get used to it because we are heading toward a digital world.

RING RING: THE EVOLUTION OF THE TELEPHONE

“How will we talk in the future?”

hello, who is it

The telephone has taken on various forms throughout the history of America. And what’s interesting is that the more time passes, the more smaller and less converse the telephone becomes. We now don’t even talk on the phone, we text. But when we do talk we have capabilities in the form of video where we can now see the person. So what has become of the telephone is a more interactive experience. If you took children back 20 years, 30 years, or even 50 years, they would have no clue how to make use of the telephone. So what will happen over the years to come of the telephone?

look, no hands

Woman Wearing Earpiece Using White Laptop ComputerWe are seeing people more than ever utilize phones from not only wireless, but without the need to hold the phone. And because of that bluetooth headsets and earbuds have made the ability to perform task while talking a lot easier. Now, you just throw some ear phones on and continue going about your daily task without having to pick up the phone. You just press the telephone icon on your phone to answer and voilá, you can talk.

on screen

Ever since face time became popular, people have been looking for other means of trying to connect to each other via video. And now, there are means to connect with people from your television screen. What happens is, say you’re watching television, and you don’t want to interrupt your programming by stopping the TV. You can answer the phone with the person’s face in the corner of the screen and video chat. Let’s say you have someone overseas in battle in the military. This is a way to talk to them from a much larger screen in higher definition.

voice command

What happens when you get a call and then you say the word answer without having to look at your phone. Whomever is in your list of contacts then name will voice command to you who it is, and you can answer via your voice. That will be a great time. Or better yet a video pop out in front of you and you can talk without picking up the phone.

NEW AGE PARENTING: HOW TECHNOLOGY TO CONNECT TO KIDS IS A MUST FOR PARENTS

Portrait of Woman Photographing With Smart Phone

“Stay connected to them.”

monitor your offspring

For the longest parents would not think to allow their children to have cell phones. It was always the same thing, you are too young to have a phone. So kids could not wait until they turned 16, 17, or in some cases 18 years old to get a phone. Getting a cell phone in the past was like having a license. But the difference between the past and the present would be the level of technology that children already have access to, so why not. Why not give a kid a phone today. And plus, you need to be able to stay connected to whatever your child is doing. There is just too much they can get into today that wasn’t like the past.

losing battle

Parents are having to fight against every latest piece of technology out here. Some parents have to download apps themselves just to connect to their child emotionally. So what do you do because you can’t just tune out because then you’re out of the loop. So get in the game, and the longer you wait to have kids the more outside you are in the game. There are parents my mother’s age who have children in high school. Meanwhile my oldest sister is close to 40 years old. Which is a culture shock to be almost 60 years old and now you have teenagers when so many people your age have adults who have teenage kids. The job has to be very difficult coming from a 60’s generation with a child that is a Generation Me.

dumbing them down

Technology keeps you engaged with what your child is doing, yet at the same time, the tech era has created a generation of lost souls. Texting, tweeting, auto-correct, GIFS, Memes, and Emoji’s have created young people who perform poorly in schools because of bad grammar. So what you must do is now purchase materials that will combat the games and the way they verbally interact. Only problem is that technology is changing by the day and future parents will have to work even harder.

MENTAL DOWNLOAD: WILL IT BE POSSIBLE TO REPLICATE THE HUMAN CONSCIOUS ONE DAY

Photo of Head Bust Print Artwork

“We freely give it anyways.”

free thinking

As someone that is living during this social media craze where we put so much of our lives out for public display, will our minds be able to be replicated one day? Meaning, what if someone very intelligent dies one day, and we want that knowledge passed on so that it continues. This way we can have the greatest of the person without them here on Earth. Now, the only problem is that the human is given the conscious mind to make decisions. But if there was a way to hijack the human conscious, then that person could possibly be around forever. But still, how could something like be pulled off in the future?

free information

We share so much in today’s society, there will be a trail of information into our thoughts forever. Now, the things we say and write down are just an example a lot of times how we feel in the moment. But, you can look over time at everything this person has said that is recorded. Then you can come to a consensus as to how this person’s mind could be replicated. Now, the majority of people on Earth are not interesting enough to be hacked mentally. This procedure would be for the Stephen Hawking of the world. These are the people that will benefit our society to most. Sorry, a construction worker or garbage truck driver won’t be useful. Or maybe they will.

some things can’t be done

The main reason replicating someone would be tough is because not everyone shares their thoughts publicly. And I said before that some commoner is not useful. But they really could be, we just don’t know that they are intelligent. Some people don’t have the confidence to pursue being great in this world. They just live and die, and some janitor this whole time had the secret to breaking the speed of light. Or some homeless guy is sleeping in the street with the capabilities to time travel. So being able to replicate minds will be for the ones who stepping into society with confidence and intellect. So in other words you are maintaining not the smartest minds ever, but the smartest minds that showcased their intellect to the world while they were alive.
