A LOSING BATTLE: WHICH WILL BE THE NEXT CURRENCY TO SURPASS THE DOLLAR?

One U.s. Dollar Beside 100 Philippine Pesos

“Lost of confidence.”

the dollar

The American currency has been the top currency of the globe for decades. But with the Euro and the Kuwaiti Dinar surpassing the dollar, what will be the next currency. We already have the British Pound which as it stands is also ahead of the United States. Will the Renminbi of China be next, or better yet the Rupee? From the looks of things, both the Chinese currency and Indian currency will have to do some serious building to surpass the American dollar.

staying strong

Even though the dollar has appreciated in value, the strength of the dollar has still continued to push ahead of everyone else. And that’s because of the spending power of the dollar. Which can throw someone off by saying its value is down but the strength is up. And the problem in our economy lies in the economy. We have job growth, but no real career growth. Meaning how many of those jobs are well-paid positions. But also, how many people are investing in us as well. Nonetheless we hold on to control.

innovation

The fact that we used to be the innovators and are no lounger the innovators is troublesome. We are more concerned with the social aspect of life than the building of life in this country. And once the that takes place, you tend to fall off. We sit around and wait for an administration to create something for us, instead of creating ourselves. And this is why immigrants are more suited at times to succeed in America than American born citizens. We want a party to do its job for us. They come to America with the notion you must do things yourself. And we need creations and building off of preexisting things to make life better.

GOOD DEEDS: WHAT ARE THE POSITIVES OF TRUMP’S WIN ON THE ECONOMY

Image result for MAGA

“Is America better now?”

trump’s america

Since the election of President Donald J. Trump, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the commander and chief. Numerous protest, investigations, cabinets members removal, and outside allegations. But is there anything in the country going good on the economic side? Is there some truth to the motto, “Make America Great Again?” A lot think not, but there are those that think so. Well, let’s observe that for a minute.

positives

Do we have any positives for the economy under this administration? Let’s observe that for just a moment. For starters the economy is at a higher growth rate in the first few months of 2018 than it’s normal average. And the economy growth has been at its highest since the economic recession almost ten years ago. And then to add to it, the tax cuts of over one trillion dollars. So maybe there is something to this administration performing well.

controversial statement

When you say what has Trump done that was of good nature, people get emotional. And the perception of a person is nearly impossible to shift once people have their minds made up. Only me, I have my political agenda, but I also have perspective. And that is why people will find it hard to believe any good can come of this administration. We can’t see the economics because socially and politically we disagree so much. So much so, that even if we were to enter a new Gilded Age, he would still be disliked.

OPEN THE COAL MINES: WHY AREN’T OUR POLITICIANS HONEST ABOUT OUR FUTURES

brown coal, brown coal mining, bucket wheel excavators

“Leave the past behind, yes or no?”

the past to present

In the past, Americans were the pentacle of the world as it pertains to industry. We were king in the industrial revolution, but now the tables have turned. The new game in town is technological innovation and information; two areas where America has slacked. So what must be done to insure that the nation stays in its position on top? Because China surpassed America recently in GDP, but America regained footing on top. Now, America has regulatory laws in place that are different from China, but nonetheless they are right there with us.

industry decline

Americans make what? I’m waiting, what do we really make anymore? Our greatest creation and has been for a while is people. With regards to actual Panoramic Shot of Skygoods and services, we are slowly losing our position. A great deal of our livestock, fruits, and vegetables come from outside America; not to mention about 80% of our seafood. We have become major importers, instead of major exporters as well. We are not making anything that world needs, that the world can get from us less than anywhere else. So what are we to do?

land usage

America has a lot of land, yet we only utilize a small portion of the land for farming. You would think is a fully-functional country, yet so much of our land is preserved for wildlife conservation. But we can’t just start growing crops. Bird's Eye View Of FarmlandFarming doesn’t work that way, it’s a lot that has to go into making sure the land is able to sustain whatever you’re growing. It takes more than just throwing some seeds into the ground and growing crop.

bad ideas

I know this for certain, opening the steel mills, coal mines, and paper mills is not smart. Because anyone who understands even anything basic about business at that level is that when someone creates something better, bye bye. Meaning, we reopen factories, and someone comes along with a better more effective idea, it renders the factory obsolete. I always use the mule puller example. Families used harnesses for themselves attached to mules for farming, until the combine came along. When was the last time you saw a mule puller? Like I said, evolution is a continuous progression from what is basic to what is complex. Factories are basic today; at one point in time, they were complex. But in today’s society an evolution is taking hold, so we must move on.

POLITERTAINMENT: IS AMERICA TIRED OF POLITICS IN ENTERTAINMENT

Image result for ANTI TRUMP CELEB

“What was once entertaining is no longer.”

2016

The election of 2016 where we saw the run and subsequent win of president Donald Trump has left sour tastes in many American’s mouths. But nowhere is that more evident than in the entertainment industry. Entertainers have all come forward speaking out against the president for the way he behaves as well as his lack of experience in the role.

But have we hit a point where people are finally fed up with the consistent berating of the president from entertainers. Because after a while, it starts to get rather redundant. Celebrities speak as if the more they talk, the more we get closer to his impeachment. But from the looks of things, nothing of the like will take place.

hitting a wall

We’re now starting to hear people say things like, “Alright, you hate Trump, we get it.” Or, “Let’s get back to the entertainment.” Now what celebrities don’t want to do is start alienating people. You earn your living from the masses. And even those [entertainers] who may be anti-Trump are irritated from so much politics in their industry because their livelihood is in jeopardy.

Image result for ANTI TRUMP CELEB

Ultimately what you will end up doing is making him more popular. Or what you’ll do is desensitize people to Donald Trump. And then if something far more detrimental does take place, people ignore the situation. You want to further your cause, but not at the risk of making your villain more popular. Like the Dark Knight, who knew Heath Ledger would be the most popular figure of that film. He was made so hated, people wound up liking him that much more.

what now

Like I said before, further your cause, but try not to alienate the very audience you are looking to reach. Because in order to figure out why someone would vote for a particular candidate. you must first connect to them. Look at life from their perspective, even if you disagree with them. You still have to do so. Otherwise, you’ll end up with the same results again.

But above all, you have another job to do. And that job is to entertain the masses. Once the way people see you as an entertainer slide, so will your influence to those who know you best.

ME TOO. TIMES UP: HOW WILL THE MOVEMENT PAN OUT OVER TIME

art, awareness, campaign

“Stand up, speak out.”

me too/times up

Over the past year, there has been a downfall of Hollywood’s elite men. There have been a wave of women coming out over the past indiscretions of studio executives and actors. Women who have been victims of sexual harassment and assault.  And with the downfalls came the movements we now know as Me Too and Times Up.

So with that said, how long will these two movements continue? And will they both take a turn for the better or for the worse? Because with what happened to comedian Aziz Ansari, the movement could have been in jeopardy.

upsides

Now, will you stop all of sexual harassment in society; the answer is no. That is a physical impossibility. But a lot of the movement’s cause has to do with harassment in the workplace. And that is the decline of harassment so women can work in a safe space without having to deal with constant advances. And for that, there have been progress.

Sexual Assualt stats by the EEOC

It’s not a fool proof movement, you’re going to always problems. But the goal is to deter the situation. And from the looks of things, we are seeing progress. But, is there another side to all this push back.

downsides

As with the positives of the movement, there are the downsides. And one of them we have already seen. That is when comedian Aziz Ansari was accused of sexual assault, and what it amounted to was a bad date. And this is what the movements have to speak out against. If not, you’re going to start to notice women coming forward for anything just to get their names out there.

And with it goes the movement that was meant to protect women. When we live in a society without due process, you start to get into trouble with false claims. But the moment you say due process, you’re automatically calling the victim a liar. When in reality, you might be saving yourself in the event that the perp is not the real per at all.

PUSHBACK: HOW THE SURGE AGAINST TRUMP COULD HURT THE 2020 ELECTION FOR A PARTY

White House

“2020 is quickly approaching.”

politics

Since the election run of President Donald Trump, there has been constant protest and contest infighting. But my question is, is this good for a party? Because we have not had a politician in the United States that people have pushed against this heavy in a very long time. So what are the Republicans to do?

Image result for protest

We have been watching over the country smaller elections after Trump victory where the entire Republican party is being moved aside. So what will 2020 look like with so many people pushing against the leader of the country. It seems as if with these smaller elections, people are making other Republican candidates pay for how they feel about Trump.

personal

So, with the political decisions, you have the emotions running deep. And people have taken this moment in time to vent their personal views. And it has permeated the environment in every discussion about the president. But is it always good to have all these emotions running throughout our society?

Related image

Because when emotions are behind all the decision making we lose all logic. And even during a logical moment, we still run with the emotion at times because the social construct of America forces us to choose sides. Meaning, there are people who like the president, but will say no comment or they don’t from fear of verbal, and sometimes physical attack.

a party in peril

Now we have the question left of what will happen to a party that is being seen as untrustworthy. Could it be that Trump has dismantled a party, or has he just unwound himself? Because like I Image result for republican losingsaid earlier, a lot of Republicans have been taking loses since Trump’s election. And on top of that, an entire young generation will be voting that didn’t get their chance to vote in 2017. Also with that generation is a group that voted Obama in 2008 and 2012. So you’re talking a massive push in 2020. You could see a run bigger than Obama’s. But whoever it is, could prove a real problem for Republicans if Trump runs again.

FAKE NEWS: HOW IT HAS BECOME A PROBLEM

Related image

“Big problem, little attention.”

Our news outlets on television have long been the information medium for all of our news; outside of newspapers and radio. But in recent years, more and more news is flooding the internet. But the news that is flooding the internet is not necessarily the news we should be reading. Why, well because a lot of the news on the internet is not real or highly misleading. Someone might post a photo on the computer of a situation with a totally different agenda, and people blindly follow. I was scrolling through my Instagram today, and saw a photo someone posted about Martial Law in Chicago. A few hundred people commented, but instead of blindly replying, I did my research. I found that photo, and it was of the National Guard looking for the Boston Bombers after their attack on the marathon in Boston.

In that particular situation, it was truly necessary for the National Guard to patrol the streets. A strict curfew was placed so that people would not be of a danger to themselves, nor a threat to the law enforcement looking for the bombers. But why do we just follow the lies, when in reality, the truth is far more different. One of the reason we do so as people is to justify our bias we have for a particular situation. We want to believe there is government conspiracy so we have a reason to say,” This is why my life is panning out a certain way.” We have a need to make sense of something we don’t understand. And if you are not someone who follows, you’re all of a sudden the problem. When in reality, they are just as blindfolded, even more because their own agenda clouds their mind of thinking. Meaning, they are so into their agenda, they start out credible, and lose credibility as they explain because there are so many flaws in their thinking.

So how do we combat these types of people from having a voice. We really can’t because there is a freedom of press. And who is a member of press is very ambiguous to be honest. You used to have to have press credentials to report and people listen. Now anyone with a large social media following can report on a particular issue with people listening in on what they have to say. Yet when seeing the news becoming misleading, you realize that everyone with access to a computer shouldn’t have a voice. Having a voice will eventually become a privilege and not a right because too many incidents are taking place over misinformation. Yes, President Donald Trump is right about news being fake, but it’s directed in the wrong place. The internet such as Facebook hosts a large volume of stories that just aren’t real.

And in the end, we have to find a means to combat information that is not real. People are rallying and protesting over incidents that did not even happen. Yes, people have a duty to research information before blindly following, but you as the reporter also have a duty to report on situations that happened. It’s not your job to put a spin on something that didn’t happen for the sake of increasing your social media following. But if you don’t want the responsibility of having to deal with the grunt of complaints, always state this is my opinion or I think, instead of this is what happened. Because when there is a mass hysteria, you’re partly to blame.

SELECTIVE OUTRAGE: WHY WE REACT DIFFERENTLY WHEN SOMEONE FROM A DIFFERENT GROUP HURTS YOU

Image result for selective outrage

“We accept the same circumstance anyways.”

No matter if it’s racial issues or some political commentary, we as a society have this selective outrage over topics that make us mad. Yet we make excuses on the opposing side for the same people in our own environment. What it is psychologically that compels us to fight the issue from the outside versus on the inside. We have been seeing this from the sexual assault allegations coming from the entertainment business. The people in the business have spent the better portion of the year going after President Trump because of his past indiscretions, then next thing you know sexual assault now is pooping up all over the industry. But today’s topic focuses more so on the ethnic piece of selective outrage. Why do we accept violence or ostracism from within, but it’s a bigger deal when it comes from another group outside of ourselves?

For example why do we as a Black community become outraged and protest over the police shootings, but no protest over gang violence from within? Why is there a bigger reaction when a White girl is sexually assaulted by a Black male than a White male? Because there is a piece of that which is primal, and then there is the piece of that which is socially constructed. The primal aspect has to do with this ingrained animalistic portion of us that reject someone who is from a different community. Anyone we perceive to be an outsider we will react strongly toward more so than anyone else. It’s still that small primal aspect about ourselves that we have retained dating back hundreds of thousands of years ago. Then again, there is the social construction and that is how we as humans shape society.

If you observe human evolution and how we came to be, you look at the out of Africa theory. And once that happened, people started building their own civilizations, which were seen as these great empires. But eventually humanity ventured out and realized that we are not as special as we think we are in building great things. Why, well there is another civilization far away that is building something just as great, if not greater. So to keep others in our own space from realizing that maybe our rulers are not as great as we think, we are told others are savages for not living our way. So a lot of the way we perceive other groups of people is by way of socially constructing civilizations over time. Yet we do just as much harm from within. Because we either like to act as if it doesn’t exist, feel it is for some greater good, or transfer blame to someone close by.

In the end, we make so many exceptions when dealing with each other in society. And then when someone on our own side gets into the same trouble, it tends to expose the agendas that we push. And when it comes to racial agendas, they have been going on for so long, that I don’t even think people want to change their thought process. Because a shift in thought means people have to look at life differently than they do now.

HOW TO MAKE SLAVES OUT OF MEN: WHY PEOPLE ARE EASILY BRAINWASHED

Image result for BRAINWASHED

“How to galvanize for terror.”

When observing the human species, we have galvanized throughout history for a wide range of reasons. Whether it be to protest rights for groups of people who have been marginalized, or galvanizing to push back against a war that is claiming the lives of many. But what I have attempted to study over time is the ability that man has to galvanize groups for killing. And I don’t mean any type of killing, but bringing a group together for genocide. How does a man such as Idi Amin who was responsible for the Ugandan genocide or Adolf Hitler who ordered the murders of millions of Jews during the Holocaust galvanize for death? And that is something that requires you to go into the mind a little deeper. And it means looking at a few psychological indicators: social programming, infliction of pain, and appealing to the emotionally distressed.

In an effort to understand how people can round u into a frenzy to kill mass amounts of people, you have to look at the first part of the passage above: social programming. Well, how do you socially program people to look another human and convince that group of people to commit mass genocide on another group of people? Let’s first look at a few examples as to how you can control people via social programming. Look at slavery in America and the ability to convince humans another human is 75% human. As much as

Image result for slave auction

we like to think we as humans are thinkers, we have an Achilles heel when thinking and that is that we seek answers to information, especially perceived complex problems from people we deem are scholarly. So if a group of ten people are sitting down together and one is perceived to have more knowledge than the rest based on how he or she is stating their points, we will believe them to be right even if we are right in our own regard.

Why, well because the perceived knowledgeable person’s vocabulary might be more vast. So the scholarly people respected in Europe during the time of slavery all had ideologies about Africans. And since these scholars were well traveled and few people outside the scholarly community left Europe, you as a European citizen take what they say at face value. So, stating these Africans are savages, we all believe. Only savages can be used against each other for conquering. Which means they must be some subhuman mammal. People will follow their word, especially at that time when information to the public was limited. And on top of that the European civilization was deemed civilized, and anything else was less functional. Now that’s the social programming. What about how people are able to inflict pain?

During the Holocaust there was a multitude of people used as guinea pigs in the conduction of human experimentation, walking children to gas chambers, and setting fire to dead bodies after being killed. You might ask, what human is capable of enforcing such horror on another human being that you previously saw walking the street. Well, I go back to the experiment made famous by a psychologist by the name, Stanley Milgram. He conducted an experiment which showed how an experimenter could get the tester to administer a shock to the learner. At first the teacher is reluctant,Image result for holocaustthen eventually, the teacher is shocking the learner without order. An experiment which showed how a human given orders could harm another person. Now in genocide, there is twist, and that is that if the teacher does not administer the shock, the teacher could be killed. And self-preservation results in being able to take another human life.

But what about the ability to appeal to the emotionally distressed? Because when you take away a group’s ability to existence, and you are able to have a common enemy that is shown to the people, then you can also get humans to react. Such as how the Nazis were able to speak to the ethos of the financially stressed and hurt Germany. Or how the Rwandan Hutu leaders were able to make the people feel they needed to seek revenge on the Tutsi. Here is a basic example on a much lower level. When someone loses their job, and are down on their last. Someone gives you food and shelter. You are told you deserve more, and should have more. But you also have to comprise of a group of people who have held dominant power for so long. This is important because it’s why historically agendas have been easier to make White men turn on another group in America than Black. The ideology has long stood that this (America) is your (White men’s) country.

With that said, these are generally the individuals who turn to groups like skin heads or KKK. When you see groups that you used to have the upper hand over, now in positions of power, no matter how small that population may be you’re fighting against. Speaking to the hurt in someone, especially if that someone is of a group than has long been in charge. But in the end, a real biological reason you can turn humans so genocidal is that we are not far removed from apes. We share 99% strain with them, and are  1%  Image result for humans and apesdifferent. We think we’re special because we build infrastructure, but on a level of mammal, we still hold that animal inside. The smarter of the humans are still baboons, yet they are of the stronger baboon that realize there are dumber baboons who are led by emotion, not logic and reasoning.

DIGITAL TROUBLE: HOW THIS NEW ERA OF TECH IS HURTING A GENERATION OF THE PAST

apple, computer, designer

“When not knowing how to use it, starts to show your real age.”

A lot of people find themselves in trouble when using their digital devices. But lately, we have been seeing more and more of an older generation that finds themselves getting into trouble. And why is that happening? Well, simple, they came up during a time period where excess to so much that we have now was just not present. So now that all these digital devices are available, they are consuming and they have no clue what they are doing. So they try to conduct themselves the same way they did when these were the days of the past. And it just does not work quite that way anymore. You can’t just type anything in the search engine without leaving a trace. Because in their days, without a paper trail, there was no way to be found. And who is the group getting into trouble the most: politicians.

Politicians have found themselves at the forefront of the digital crisis because they try implementing the ways that they know best, but come up short and get into trouble. Some guy is always getting caught dirty texting or recording some explicit conversation. Or you hear about Hilary Clinton backing up government information on her Yahoo account. It’s what makes you think to yourself, “Government conspiracies, there is no way this group can cover up a major secret.” They can barely stay out of the news from engaging in debauchery via their cell phones of email accounts. So how in the world do they manage to pull off conspiracies with so many people and no one says a word. The human element of what we are won’t allow it to happen no matter how hard we try to keep a secret. Now my question is, “Will there come a day where my generation will be facing the same backlash because we will become unaware of the technology in the future?”

And my answer is yes, we will be caught up the same way. The reason being is that most people get set into a way. And once they are comfortable operating in that manner, they live their lives out this one way. But the technology around them continues to grow. It does not stop because you stopped learning, you just become more vulnerable because you fail to learn and understand what you are using. So my generation known as the millennials will most definitely be caught up in the same scandals in the future. Because in the end, it’s too hard to resist the temptation. When something is new to the world we just start consuming. Yet we don’t realize our every move is being watched. And what’s scary is that every generation from here on will constantly find themselves in trouble for something because no one puts themselves in the know of what they’re using, nor do they attempt to learn new information.
