FOR A LIVING

So many people if you ask them what they do for a living, they will tell you that they do “_______” for a living. Most people will tell you they go to their job, and those with a career say they go to work. It’s weird because after a while, isn’t your career your job. And the way we have decided to group them is different. A career is what we see as something more specialized or a work related place of employment with potential growth. The job is more geared toward given a wage for coming to work.

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.

Which direction should you go in when choosing a means of income? Do you want a job or do want a career? Because a lot of people grow up and dream of having a career. But you never hear people say I just want a job. We hear this and say to ourselves, that doesn’t sound appealing. But most of of have jobs in society. And you even have a large demographic of job/career people. Meaning, a construction worker can be seen as someone with a job. But if you own your own landscaping business then your career is your job. Now on the other hand a doctor is always going to be seen as a career driven type of employment.

BELIEVE THE PROCESS

You want to be the person who is trying to move on from your day job and move into your career. Well then, you know what you have to do? Figure out the thing that you want to do in life and then you’re going to have to build on that for years. That’s right, for years. Most people have this place they want to see themselves, but they are more concerned with getting there than learning along the way. This means the person getting frustrated early on and walking away. And they ultimately end up giving up on the thought of ever having a career.
