YOU LOOK THE PART: CAN YOU REALLY TELL SOMEONE’S HEALTH BY SIGHT

“Lose weight, you, oh no.”

aesthetically pleasing

You look in the mirror, your body looks all together, and to other people you are fine. But when it comes to the doctor’s appointment, you have all these physical ailments. And for the life of people, they don’t get why you may be so sick. Well, the reason for you being sick is not because of how you look, it is the internal makeup of the body. Not everyone is meant to be slim in frame, and not everyone is meant to be heavy in frame. It’s what we consume and it is also the genetic makeup. If you are already predisposed to certain health issues, then think twice about the food you consume.

looking big, feeling great

I have seen women lifting weights and not matter how much they lift, they will never look like a Victoria’s Secret model. They just become a more toned version of themselves. So why are certain people labeled as being big and out of shape. Because some of it may be true, but other times it is the result of a more social norm in our society. But this is also a generational view as well because Marilyn Monroe would be considered a plus size women by today’s standards. So just because you may look a little more on the heavier side, you could be healthier than someone half your size. But it’s always good to get some good health facts.

the mobility test

Moving around is always a good indicator of good health. When you are less mobile because it is hard for you to move about, your health could be failing. I look in the NFL and see men 300 lbs. But they are professional athletes. That is a different 300 lbs. then a guy who just sits around his house eating all day. So you won’t find too many unhealthy people who have great mobility skills.

LIFTING THE RIGHT WAY: HOW TO KEEP FROM INJURY SELF

Man Carrying Barbel

“Technique is a strong aspect.”

keeping yourself strong

For the past year I have been lifting weights, trying to gain and get lean. And for most people, they have their New Years resolution. But they never stick to their goal. For me, it’s not hard to find a program that works for me and work with it. And for the others how do you stay motivated and continue to push. And that is all about discipline, which I can’t show you how to have in life. You have to be able to get out of bed and make yourself do the work. But while you’re putting in the work remember to understand how to work your muscles and what’s your limits.

know what you can handle

I know how much I can lift in my bench pressing efforts. And that means starting at a certain weight and then week by week, going up from there. For example, I have a 45 pound barbell and two 45 pound plates on each side. Then you add 10 pounds each week to both sides. Once you hit a wall, and you will hit a weight you can’t lift, then switch it up. Try instead of going for 10 reps at three sets, try 5 sets at 7 reps. By changing your sets and reps you can now keep yourself from getting to set into one workout too long. You can also injure yourself in the process.

the everyday struggle

When trying to exercise, it will feel like a drag when trying to get yourself motivated. I have been through this, where there are days I won’t even try. And then I remember where I want to see myself, and that’s when I get back at it. Here is where you will shine in your training because once you start to do the things you don’t like, then you will succeed.

BOY YOU LOOK DIFFERENT: WHY OUR PHYSICAL APPEARANCE TAKE FORM OVER TIME

Blue Denim Jeans

“I don’t look different, it’s called life.”

When I wake up in the morning and look at myself, I always think, “Man, I have not changed that much since high school. Yeah, sure I’m more mature and I have learned to be a lot more responsible. But my physical appearance is not that much different. Yet when I look at people from my past years so far in life, they bare a totally different look than what I remembered. Maybe it’s because the person got pregnant and had a child. In that case, you will take on a new form, especially your physique. Or maybe the person got into a terrible accident or was stricken with some type of illness. Then there are the people who say screw it and let themselves go. Almost like why bother trying to keep myself together. Well, I have a few reasons why they are unrecognizable; and I have already touched on a few.

When you are young, especially in high school, you care more about what other people think. You’re active, which means you have not got into a rut. You are not fed up with the world because you have not stepped into the world. Yet the moment you leave high school, you take on your own mindset. You begin to hang around different people and your life begins to move around. Yes, granted in the four years preceding high school, you still are to an extent stuck into the mind-frame of high school. But as you come through those years, you start to notice people becoming someone you can’t familiarize yourself with anymore. From the way they talk to how their bodies take form. Then college end and you really start to not notice the person you once knew. And like I said before, physically they become unrecognizable. And what happens that causes this physical reaction?

Children. that’s right children. I know people who have already had children, so keeping yourself together becomes not as important once you become a parent. Unless you have a certain means of finances, it becomes quite difficult to care for yourself. You’re feeding the children, chasing the children, making sure the children stay out of trouble. So days to weeks, weeks to months, and months to years, and slowly but surely, they give up. Now, to play devil’s advocate if I may, I don’t think people just give up. I don’t think people want to work as hard as we have to in the first place. It’s just that we use so much of our outer to attract others to us, then we become what we really want to be eventually. Keeping yourself looking a certain way is work that does not pay. And it has already been a job since high school. So you figure why bother now.

See, in the end, we would all like to stay looking young and fresh. But it’s such a tough time trying to keep ourselves. Me, I have not gained much weight since high school. I have not had a rough life since high school; sure I work harder, but physically, I’m still me. I guess it’s tough once you become an adult with a full time job. You’re doing this and doing that, running here and there; you sort of lose sight of physical aspects of life like your own appearance. And then you fall into this world-wind of who cares.
