“Take care, people see.”

your upkeep

Whenever you look in the mirror, do you like what you see? If you do, count your luck stars because a lot of people do not like themselves for who they are physically. And if you happen to be one of these unhappy people, there is something you can do about it. What you can do is try to put yourself on a small workout program. Make something like 30 minutes a couple times a week. Then when you get more comfortable, you can switch up and make it more times per week as well as heavier lifting. And never underestimate the good feeling of the compliments you might receive.

the out fit

Your clothes that you typically wear will start to fit your differently once you start putting yourself on a strict regimen. You will put on clothes and there will be this glove feeling that shows off more of your figure and the feeling of how it fits will be different. I started lifting weights last year of 2018, and I will tell you from experience that shirts do appear to look a certain way. Your jeans will fit in a way, especially if you are a woman, that will extenuate your curves.

moments of realization

There will come time you look in the mirror and be able to stand there and look at yourself feeling good. And that’s what taking care of your health does for your overall quality of life. Some people have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning because they are so worn. But if you practice good habits, then you will be able to have that good feeling so many people have when living in a healthy body.

SHOW SOME RESPECT: WHY DO PEOPLE COME FROM THE BOTTOM AND THROW MONEY AWAY

Woman Holding Shopping Bag

“Mind your money.”

started at the bottom

So many people who grow up in poor environments have these dreams of making it in life. A goal that is very broad and ambiguous when you hear the word making it. But there is another side to making it in life. And that side that how do we make money, do all that work to get it, then blow it to the wind. And it’s simple, we think the money will keep coming. We don’t think about tomorrow because tomorrow is not on the minds of people. We make so much money and over time forget about the days of being broke. And that’s when you make the vital mistake. Once you forget, you find yourself back in the place once again.

think first, spend last

There is a saying, “Hey, if you got it, flaunt it.” And that sounds good, but the life that you might be living could all fall apart because it’s not a sustainable existence. You have to think about tomorrow, but that’s hard when you don’t have to think about tomorrow. So many people ask how do you let your spending get out of control. But they have to always watch their finances Image result for broke athletes espnreally closely. They live on the edge of losing everything, so they don’t understand getting and then spending beyond what you have to spend. But guess what, the people spending were the people at one point in time who said they don’t understand why so many people with money go broke.

your mind must be cleaned

If you want to keep the money you earned you can no longer think poor. You have to always keep cleaning out the bad stuff that you once thought was a good idea before you started making money. Because your thoughts at a certain level might be rational to you and everyone around you at that current level, but they keep you in that same position. And you don’t realize your mind needs cleaning until you move to a different level. And then everyone below that point you see their mistakes. And that’s when you think to yourself, “Oh, ok, this is the problem.” Sad thing is, so many won’t understand or listen to you. And they will never leave their position. And if you don’t watch your spending you will be back in the position you worked so hard to leave.

STREET LIFE: WHY GANGS ARE SO APPEALING TO YOUNG PEOPLE

Image result for GANGS

“The need to belong.”

ganglands

Gangs have been a problem in society for hundreds of years. And questions have always arisen as to why so many young males and females join gangs. Of course we point to the need to belong, but is it deeper than that alone? Is there more to joining a gang? But let’s first start out by defining what I mean by a gang.

Because any group of young people hanging out with each other is a gang. But we define a gang in society in correlation with criminal behavior. And that is what separates the gang of friends who innocently hang out together from those who break the law. It’s the conduct within the group that ultimately determines the character of the group.

american lifestyle

In America, we have street gangs that involve themselves in criminal activity on a daily. Because being in a gang alone is not deemed a crime. So why are so many young men and women joining in alliance with gangs in America? One of the obvious reasons like I said before, a reason to belong to something, anything.

But you also have so many that need some form of guidance in their lives. The gang leaders are generally older and provide them the tools of survival they don’t get at home. But it’s not constructive guidance, but the destruction that ultimately leads to their demise. Sometimes the kid has a stable family life, but an unstable community.

And when you live in an unstable community, you seek to be the guys living around you. Their lives tend to look alluring and much more interesting than your own. But the danger that comes with it is not realized until it’s far too late.

distractions necessary

So, in order to keep your kid from falling into this lifestyle, a major way is distractions. You keep them as busy and involved in activities as possible. It’s close to impossible if your kid is constantly in a sport or some out of school activity. And when they become of age to leave your house then you send them into the world.

The distractions are not really to make sure they stay out of trouble. But the distractions are to give them enough time to fully understand the ramifications of getting into trouble. When they are 12, 13, or 14 years old, they think you’re being hard on them. But when they are 20, 21, 22, they can see the downfall so they’re less likely to get into trouble at this point in life.

Macro Photo of Stethoscope and Pens

“One visit can change your life.”

THAT ONE VISIT

You schedule yourself a doctor’s visit to the hospital for a routine check up. It has been a while since gong to the Black and White Blood Pressure Kithospital. But when you walk in, you sit down, get your name called, then make your way to the examination room, meanwhile, all sorts of thoughts go through your head. Then you meet with a physician and he/she run some test. That’s when you find out you’re at risk for some illness that could worsen if you don’t change your lifestyle. SOCIAL MISREPRESENTATION: WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE PORTRAY A LIFE ON INSTAGRAM THEY DON’T ACTUALLY LIVE

Related image

“Come one man, you’re not that interesting.”

I like millions of others belong to the Instagram community. A platform where millions of people share their photos and video content with the world. Some people only have a few followers while people like Selena Gomez have 125 million plus people following them. And with a following like Selena, she can really put herself in position to make a really good living. With so many marketers and advertisers, this has become a very lucrative space to operate. But this topic is not about the lucrative side of Instagram, it’s the misrepresentation of the application. Too often, people are sharing a lifestyle that is not conducive to the life they actually live. And what is the real reason why so many post photos that don’t represent who they are in life?

Image result for instagram leisure
Jack Morris and Lauren Bullen are famous on Instagram and make incomes from their traveling and posting their leisure life on Instagram.

One of the reasons comes from what I had previously stated about Selena. People put up a lifestyle that they don’t live because believe it or not, there is an income to be amassed from these photos. And how can one make an income from taking Instagram photos? Well, let’s say you’re a traveling type of person. And every time you travel somewhere new, you feel the need to take a photo and share with the world. But something you also do is link other like profiles and hashtags. Then people will like that particular photo or photos, and comment. Now, if you’re a hotel and your name is hash tagged in the photo, you can see this because chances are the hotel has an Instagram account. But the hotel only takes notice when you are consistently out-liking them and their organization. They’ll eventually reach out to you because your traffic tends to be greater than theirs. This is a way to make income off of lifestyle.

Now, on the other hand, you have the people who are just a complete misrepresentation of themselves, which is the aim of this topic today. They show you how they’re off in some foreign country on a beach drinking expensive champagne living the life. When in reality, you can get a cheap flight and hotel to Monaco or St. Tropez, especially if it’s a hostel (sharing with like five or six other people) stay. And since a beach is surrounding everything with the Mediterranean Sea facing you, you can get some really get images. As far as the relaxation, you might have boosted an empty bottle, and then bought a glass of champagne to make it appear you’re popping bottles. When in reality, you don’t have bottle service money; you barely have money for that glass you’re drinking. So why do we live these lives through the medium of Instagram when we don’t have what we say we do.

Image result for instagram fake lifestyle

It’s the seeking of not only validation, but it’s even more confirmation through the seeking of validation that you don’t have a real existence, and you’re playing up to a character you’re wishing to become. So many people want to be something other than themselves, so they latch on to others or create an alternate persona so they can disconnect themselves from themselves. It’s the reason why an average person posting their daily life is not getting likes on Instagram and this person with them drinking expensive alcohol is getting followers. The person posting their mundane daily lives is not interesting because they are engaging in an activity that further forces me to think about my daily existence. I want to follow someone not me, just off of perception. Now, the person taking what is seen as average photos might actually have the lifestyle of the fake profile, they just don’t show it.

And in the end, that is what it all boils down to, the perception. We don’t care about the facts because the lie feel so much better than truth. But that truth is not someone else’s truth. We are running from our truth and living vicariously through another person’s fake actualization of what to them is a hope and dream of being what you look at them as: a somebody. We all want to be a somebody even if we are known for being around known people and latching on to their shine. Instagram is a perfect tool that explains not how interesting someone is, but also exemplifies how lonely and yurning for companionship and friendship we really want but don’t know how to attain.

GREEN CITY: HOW LONG BEFORE WE BECOME MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Image result for GREEN CITY

“A greener, better, us.”

I am quite unfamiliar with the going green campaigns that have been going around. But to me, it sounds pretty interesting that we could possibly see ourselves living a better, cleaner society. For now, we only have photos that are two dimensional models of what possibly could be for the future. As you can see, the photo at the top of the page is an example of what could be for a city going green. And if you know anything about the geographical landscape of the globe, trees help protect us from carbon dioxide in the air. So when you think about going green it makes sense to green a lot of our lives in the future. But what has caused this phenomena in the recent years? Well, for starters, it has a lot to do with the industrialization in our global economy.

Over the past 100 years in the United States, America has engaged in the industrialized marketplace. We heavily relied on factories for decades coming out of the 1800’s. And now that we have entered this new tech space, we are also making adjustments to the lifestyles we lead. In the past no one really knew that the gases that we were taking into our bodies were toxic working in these Image result for industrialization
factories. We didn’t realize the other chemicals we were exposing ourselves to while we worked long hours. But now that we know more, we have had to ship jobs overseas; in addition it saves a lot of money. Jobs have been lost, but productivity is more efficient and goods are cheaper. Besides our health and a new industry for employment, what are other benefits of a green society?

Well, plant life is a lot more lush because we were killing them by tainting the air quality. Like I said prior, the industrialization created a lot of jobs and opportunities. But the problems weren’t just health issues, we were constantly pumping gases into the air, effecting the quality. With this new push for a green society, we have animals and plants that were once facing extinction, able to restore themselves on our planet. And what was once thought of as a planet where we destroyed everything in our wake for capital gain, we would become more conscious. And that consciousness will inevitably aid everyone; both humans, creatures, and plant life.

In the end, it’s a topic that I am still glancing at every now and then. But over time, I think that more and more, I can see myself delving into this area. Going green is still fairly new for us right now, but as time progress, it will catch on Image result for GREEN CITYbecause it will ultimately aid in prolonging our lives on Earth.

WHEN MINIMAL DEFEATS MAXIMUM: HOW LIVING WITH LESS TAUGHT ME A VALUABLE LESSON

apartment, architecture, ceiling

“You were brought in this world with nothing, yet not you need everything.”

I remember when in a previous post I stated I grew up poor. I said how much I wanted to be wealthy because I grew up with less. Since I became an adult, I realized what I want, and it is not entirely money. Now don’t get me wrong, I do want to have a comfortable life. But it is not the end all be all. I have to have a career I love, otherwise the monetary gain is not even worth the work. So when I decided to pursue a career in writing, I knew it would be a long term build-up. The climb would involve me giving up a lot to pursue my career interest. And that minimal lifestyle gave me an insight into my life and life itself. Having less makes you focus on more important aspects of life.

For starters, my mind was clear now that I was living with less. The only thoughts that occupy my mind are the thoughts of creating my next ideas. And it has given me a whole new outlook on life. I still look at luxury goods and muse at the shiny aspects of their form. I can’t help but be impressed with the likes of a Ferrari, Rolls Royce, or my favorite, the Bentley. But overall, if I never drive any of these I am just as happy. Even if I have the money to purchase one of these foreign cars. I am the type of person who has the money for something, but don’t have the guts to commit all the way through. Where the impulse person feels like they are missing out on something by not buying I am the opposite. I feel like I am wasting by buying something unless I need it.

Then again, maybe it’s because I not only don’t need, but never wanted it. We accumulate things in our lives just because it’s almost as if it’s what we’re supposed to do. We’re supposed to buy the biggest house our money affords us. We’re supposed to take the most exotic vacations around the globe. And hey, if you can afford it, why not fly private. But if we don’t buy any of these goods or services what does that say about our current economic position. Because as much as I don’t like it, image plays a major role in our daily lives. So we feel we have to portray a certain image to be liked. But that wanting to be liked comes at not only a monetary cost, but personally we are constantly trying to satisfy others while letting ourselves fall by the waist side. So what is so great about minimalism?

Minimalism gives you a chance to observe what’s most important. You are forced to look within yourself a lot deeper. And you also have to remove yourself away from the worldly tangibles that inhabit the Earth. In the end, there is nothing wrong with a non-minimalist life. I am merely saying give it a chance, or better yet, not to let the non-minimalism destroy you. You should want to accumulate things for wanting to and not the acceptance of. Because existing for things only and other people will only make your full life seem empty.
