The Destruction 

The video below is of an asteroid hitting Earth and the possible destruction. Asteroids are left over rocks from the beginning of the solar system some 4.6 billion years ago. There is an asteroid belt that is found between Mars and Jupiter. Earth is constantly in the path, but the ones that near us break apart into meteorites. Now these cause meteorites cause massive property damage each year, but few people die in comparison to what could happen from an asteroid.

Let’s Observe Strike Zones

The below photo is of the planet and the anticipated points where the major asteroids hit the planet. In the United States, the major hit zone was in Arizona, which occurred roughly 50,000 years ago, which created the Barrington meteorite crater. There is the Yucatan Peninsula hit that took place about 65 million years ago. The Argentina collide took place 3.3 million years ago, and in another part of the world two more hits. One being the 1908 crash which took place in Siberia and the other in China in the year 1490.

When Will It Happen Again

There is only a matter of time before the big one hits us again. But that is unlikely to happen as most don’t come within hundreds of thousands of miles and go off into space. But we can never be too sure. Good thing about a lot of these asteroids is that other planets are in the pathway as well. Planets without people on them that could serve as a buffer in case of any real threat. So, it would be sad to have to sacrifice a planet, but it is what it is. Better Jupiter or Mars take the hit than our planet.

“We’ve been there, just not as humans.”


The planet Mars is the fourth planet away from the Sun, right behind us at third. Even though Mars is a terrestrial planet we are unable to inhabit the planet for a number of reasons. Number one, the oxygen on the planet is less than 1%, so we would die fast. Another downside is the extremely cold temperatures that could cost us our lives. The average annual temperature is around -64 degrees Fahrenheit (-53 degrees Celsius), and can reach as high as -199 degrees Fahrenheit (128 Celsius). And on top of this surface chemicals, UV Radiation, and low pressure systems. Now, your initial question might be, “Well what’s so interesting about Mars that we would want to visit?” For starters, we have already visited the Moon, now we have to travel to Mars just out of curiosity alone. But another more obvious reason is that have a rover that has been moving about the planet collecting information for years now.  One of the main goals for collecting information is seeing how much, if at all possible, the idea of life existing on Mars from a microbiology standpoint. Once we are able to work over time how the planet operates, the we can start to reach deeper into our minds to figure out the possibility of building on Mars. Now the rover alone cost $2.5 billion. And when I say building a lab, I mean something like the photo to the left. And that is just the setting up of a lab, but what about the colonization. That is something that will take even longer to happen. When you’re talking colonization, in the distant would be 500 years to 1,000 years from now. Light Trails on Highway at Night

“We will get there, but how long will it take?”


The speed of light measures how fast light travels over a certain amount of miles, kilometers, even feet per second, hour, etc. For example, the time it takes for the light to come from the surface of the Sun reaching Earth is 8.3 minutes over a distance of 150,000,000 kilometers or over 93 million miles. So to travel that extreme distance in only 8 minutes is a quantum leap for humans to reach. Well, actually, it’s beyond a quantum leap. The Earth is roughly 25,000 miles around, and light travels at about 186,000 miles per second or just over 670,000,000 miles per hour. Meaning that if you were traveling the speed of light, you could travel around the Earth 7 times in one second.


We have some pretty interesting technology, and we have worked the math to travel at some astounding speeds. But reaching the light speed record is being able to harness energy that we cannot even begin to harness yet. But is that all the way factual? Because making leaps in science is not necessarily the idea that we don’t have the technology. We have not yet had an individual, or groups of people come together to make it happen. Now, you might want to know, what is the importance of reaching the speed of light. Well, there are Earth like planets hundreds of millions of miles from us, even billions. But being able to travel at the speed of light will put us in traveling distance. Meaning, we travel to the moon in 3 days and Mars can take just under a year. But at the speed of light, we would reach the moon in about one second, and a few minutes to Mars. Just think about those 300 days it takes to get to Mars, the traveling distance we could make in space. Put it this way, light travels 16,105,941,302 miles in one day. Now multiply that by 365 days in a year. We would far exceed our solar system into other universes that we once theorized about in the past. Now granted, humans would most like not make that mission because of the effects on the human body traveling that speed. But sending a probe is no bodily effects or dangers. So for now, that would be the goal; a probe in space.

Astronaut Standing Beside American Flag on the Moon

“Learning about space from space.”


Our planet Earth is one amazing planet to live on. It is the only place that is at least within our ability to travel, able to sustain a diversity of life. Everything from bacteria to animals, to plants and ourselves as humans. We are what you would describe as in the Goldie Locks Zone for life to sustain. All the great things that had to take place to put us in this place are truly amazing. But now that we know so much about this planet, what about understanding other planets. And yes, we already possess a large volume of knowledge about other places. But when will we  get to a place where we study space in a lab like that on Earth from space.

We already have stations in space, but what I am referring to as it pertains to stations, is the ability to have rovers drive from actually building structures to structure in space. In an article written back in 2016 on the Market Watch ← website, it was reported that the cost of a single trip to the moon is $7 – $10 billion, with an additional $28 – $52 billion in spending for a space station. The photo is of an idea from the website how the station could look in the future.


As far as the employment for the building of the station. How will you train people to build on the moon? It’s not like here on Earth where oxygen is in the air for breathing and gravity keeps us stabilized. You’re talking a whole new host of challenges when trying to build on the moon. Or, do we use only astronaut engineers for the job that will aid in machines building the station and the engineers just making sure the mechanisms work properly. But think about the ability to us to actually use non-astronauts to build. It opens a whole new opportunity for job creation in the future.


Along with building a space station, what about other experiments that could take place on the moon for people on Earth. What about the idea of horticulture that Corn Field during Daytimeserves as a means for seeing what could grow on the moon. And since countries already have joint ventures in going to space, this could be something that countries come to together for a greater good project. Imagine the possibilities of animal, chicken, cockerelutilizing another planet just for countries to grow crop to sustain life on Earth. If the science is worked enough, you’re talking an abundance of food that could aid in decreasing hunger here on Earth. Even the idea of raising livestock could come into play based on experiments from space stations on the moon.


Even with all the cool possibilities of building on the moon, you have a few factors that could stop these dreams. You have the extremely high cost that countries just don’t have, as well as the dangers of building. That is when Murphy’s Law comes into play, things can and will happen. So there will be years and years of studies and experiments on Earth before ever stepping foot on the moon, must less bringing equipment and materials for building.

“To think we’re alone is just plain impossible.”

The United States government recently released a video that shows fighter jet pilots chasing what appeared to be a UFO. This was footage held on to for years before it was released late last week. Now for years, skeptics have been wondering if there were materials the government have found in the past. The most famous was the alleged crash landing of a UFO over Roswell, New Mexico back in the late 1940’s. Since then, we have had testimonies from countless people, both civilians and members of the government, giving us their own personal account of UFO sightings and research. But the question still remains, “Why would the government hide the evidence of other lifeforms if the lifeforms are just able to penetrate our atmosphere. Eventually something will happen more revealing that will not allow them to use the term “government testing.”

The main suggestion why they would’n’t release the information is because of religion. That’s right religion on Earth. Religion is very centric to us being the place of life and God creating us in his image. So the introduction of another being that is more sophisticated than ourselves would put a wrench in the whole program. Because it’s easy for us to refute each other, but what happens when the life-form is in your face. Then you can’t deny because that is when the burden of proof is too strong to deny. So, there is some good in trying to keep a secret that we are not alone in our universe. Then again, lets try to make sense of this in a more rational manner. Alien life does not necessarily have to be human-esque. We like to think of aliens as these humanoid creatures with big heads and webbed feet. They might be manning the space craft without anyone or anything inside. Think about that, shooting it down, or it landing and realizing that there is no one inside. Imagine how impressive that would be for a craft to be controlled remotely.

There are still other suggestions which is there are no UFO’s, and that the U.S. government is testing military weaponry and craft that is top secret. Or that there is another country moving in restricted airspace unbeknownst to our government. Which is a move that create even further conflict if our government were to find out. But what I find striking is that no one has managed to attempt to engage. What would happen if we decided to take a shot at the flying object? Would the craft just fly away, or would the craft engage with us? Because if the craft just flew away, you could almost assume that was government testing. But if the craft engaged with us, then you’re talking a serious problem. Because in the end, we as humans have a hard time coping with the idea that we are not alone. We’re so enamored with self, how could there possibly be another better species. But then again, it might be the catalyst we need to come together as a species ourselves. “What if we weren’t around?”

I sometimes think about what life would be like if people disappeared from Earth. My intrigue sparked when I first saw the television show on the Discovery Channel Life After People. It was a one hour show that would explain what happens if people were to vanish from Earth. The show talked about the animals would reclaim the land, and how long it would take for the building we built to collapse. Almost immediately, grass and trees would grow into the buildings and engulf vehicles. What’s the most interesting is how long would it take to cover up any reminisces of our existence? Will that time ever come where people won’t be here on Earth? What would an Earth without us look like?

As time progress, in a few billions years the sun is suspected to swallow up Earth. My question is, will there be people on Earth when this happens? If so, can you imagine the hell they’ll go through when this happens. But, if you know anything remotely about the science involved, people will be dead long before this happens. Well why, why would people be dead long before this happens? It’s from the fact that we only have a limited room for growth and only so many resources that contribute to our quality of life. And because the Earth is a living breathing organism in itself. So it can’t last forever, yet it’s traveling through the cosmos to God knows you where. But speaking of God, that sounds like an interesting theory. Could religion possibly be right, or maybe not?

Or, what if people die out here, but the evolution starts over once again. Maybe, because after the sun engulfs the Earth, other planets will eventually follow suit. Then the universe will reach a point where the universe can no longer expand, then we will have yet another big bang. The universe will sustain back to its original state and expand once again. Then there will be yet another ability for evolution to take hold. Could that possibly mean as human die off, we will reemerge. Or is it possible that the universe has expanded beyond capacity before and we are leftover from some previous universe?

In the end, a world without people is hard to comprehend to us, but not in the universe. We are very small in the grand scheme of things. Humans on Earth are like a grain of sand on a beach, and Earth in the universe is a grain of sand on an even bigger beach. So our existence or nonexistence is small, but my intrigue is open nonetheless.
