We have these thoughts on a daily that creep into our minds. And it can haunt us because often these thoughts translate into actions. That is the quote that exist; your thoughts become actions. But why do your thoughts become actions? I think a lot of things in my life, some good and some bad. But only very few stick in mind. Because I might be afraid to fly, but still fly. I might see myself as bird with flight like capabilities. But the only things that manifest is when I feel I can’t accomplish my goals. What is it about those particular thoughts that stick out the most?

The thoughts that stick in our minds and become actions are the thoughts where success in life is involved. When we see ourselves as a bird that can fly, it means nothing because humans don’t have flight capabilities. Yet when we see ourselves never succeeding our career, then the thoughts manifest itself. One of the reasons is that the things such as flight like a bird are a disbelief. No matter how many times I say I can’t flight, doesn’t matter, no human can. Succeeding in your career is a must to coexist in society. So it becomes a necessity. Anything that is need based becomes frozen in the mind. Another reason for people manifesting the success versus failure thoughts over others because it speaks to a want. I don’t want to swim across the Pacific Ocean from California to China. But on the other hand, I want to learn how to swim. Appealing to my want and not thinking I can, will keep me from ever learning to swim.

Remember what I said earlier about flying like a bird. Scrape that, you can fly like a bird. I know it sounds crazy to discredit all of what I had just said. But there is a context to my speech. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish you have to remove reality to some degree. We had to think about flying like birds to create aviation. Because no human flies, we have to look at the closest thing that mirrors our creations. So in order to accomplish something that is a feat no human can physically do, but a machine can, your thoughts really have to be aligned properly. Because now, you are thinking outside the box and defying logic to accomplish a task. So protect your mental state because it can really alter your perception of the world around you and ultimately negatively effecting your directed path in life.

CEREBRAL ACTIONS: DEPRESSIVE THOUGHTS SHOW IN YOUR ACTIONS

You ever the hear phrase that your thoughts become your actions. That whatever you conjure up in your mind have a tendency to manifest itself in how you react in situations. So if you think that you are not going to succeed and you believe in that enough it will show itself in your work. And that is how powerful the mind can be. You can use it to benefit yourself in life or it can be your greatest enemy. And generally, the people who look down on themselves are those battling with depression and anxiety issues. From a person with experience dealing with depression in life, it’s a come and go illness.

Recently I checked the statistics, and from the information gathered by the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness effecting Americans of roughly 20% of the American population. This same association gathered more evidence that also showed that the following also exist with people of mental illness which are various forms of depression:

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), which is the excessive worrying of potential issues that could arise where the person could be at lose of health, money, work, or family. And at times the issues they are worried about happening, may never actually take place. Yet, the people worry none the less causing them to develop a mental illness.

  • Panic Disorder (PD), which are panic attacks that come form out of nowhere, where the person is constantly in fear of the attack happening again.

  • Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), is an illness where the person has an intense fear of being judged especially when placed in social environments where they have to interact with people.

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), effects people in a way where they people who are obsessive have these thoughts that cause anxiety and depression, and the compulsive aspect aids them in designing consistent behavior that relieves them of this anxiety.

  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), is a debilitating condition that arises from people who have bare witness to traumatic events such as terrorist attacks, serious accidents, or most notably, warfare.

Well, with these various mental illness that cause our emotions to become actions, what are ways to channel this depression. For me writing and putting my thoughts and feelings into the world is one way. Once you see how many other people deal with trauma, you’re able to cope knowing you aren’t alone. And that people are just as afraid to come out as you. But in writing, I also was able to channel my negative emotions into characters of stories for my screenplays and books. In channeling these anxieties into characters, in order for the character to get better, I have to make the script or book work by showing progress in the character. This inevitably made me a better problem solver of self.

SOCIALLY AWKWARD SUCCESS: WHY WE VIEW THE INTROVERT AS THE WEIRDO

People have always told me that I am an introverted person. As a child I was not, but as time progressed, I became more and more introverted. And it was not due to any traumatic events, it came as a result of being in my head so much. I started to conjure up so many ideas and ways in which I could become successful. Then, then more I got into my head, the more I became detached from so many people. And when I say detached, I don’t mean detached in a way where I have lost my sense of humanity. But I mean detached as it pertains to connecting to so many people in my age demographic. The way in which I started to see the world around me changed as well as my interests. I went from looking at life so much one sided, to now having a more balanced view of the world.

So, then if I am so learned and so well traversed, then why do people think I am so introverted. Well, I am introverted during conversations that are not based in substance. In social situations where people are discussing something that does not pertain to something in depth, it’s tough for me. But when having to explain something that is more in depth, I tend to be comfortable. And it’s unfortunate that you get these labels when you are not as social. But the introvert does play a role in themselves being portrayed a certain way. Because you can’t shy away from people and then ask why do they view you a certain way. Because as we all know, first impressions are very important. And I know me myself, I give off bad first impressions. So if you meet me, you have to be around me for quite a while to develop and understanding of me.

Now what’s interesting is that the introverts are so successful a lot of times. Well, how could that be? The reason being that if you are always in thought, you are generally working out problems in your head. You’re not panicking as much, and you learn to deal with more issues as they come. You also learn to embrace the changes in life because you look at life from such a realistic perspective. So when people see you, and they can’t understand why you are so quiet, little do they know you are probably working out a major issue. And it does not have to be your own personal issue. You could have the key to fixing a problem in our society that no one else has found. Then once you find out, everyone is in shock because they assume you lack knowledge because you’re so quiet. When in reality, your silence keeps you listening, and you’re able to detect problems and fix them quicker.

And in the end, the socially awkward, the misfits, the introverted, the weirdo, the unknown; might ultimately be the true success. You can’t assume that people are not in the moment because they are not talking. They might be more in the moment than you are because their senses are heightened. They hear, taste, see, and touch everything; and can state in grave detail what it is they see.

MINDLESS MINDFRAME: HOW LEAVING YOUR SMALL TOWN MAY BE FOR THE BEST

Do you come from a small city or town? Are the people where this place exist carry a certain mind frame that causes you to disconnect from them? Me myself, I come from one of these type of places. The city is a place you probably never heard of, and a population of only 78,000 people. A lot of the younger generation continues to still move away. And the population is still continuing to fall as time progress. Well, why is that? Why are the people leaving this seemingly quiet town. Well, first and foremost, the jobs have left. What was once a thriving Midwest manufacturing city has been reduced to vacant factory buildings. But another reason is because of the thought process of the people.

You probably ask, what makes it tough to live in some of these types of places. For starters, people have a hard time seeing past their current situation. To them, this is it, and there is nothing past this. And not just in a negative I am a failure way. But also in a manner where whatever is the well-known organization to work for, people flock to it like it’s working for Goldman Sachs. People walk around like this place to work for is the greatest and if you can’t get a job here, you must not be worth hiring. It’s like, “I’m a supervisor over at this place.” It’s about levels, as with anywhere else in society. Yet the level is not a real level. They are sharks in a pond, but when but in a bigger city, they become clown fish in the ocean. But what is another reason to leave your small city/town?

Another is how people look at the world as it pertains to the social landscape. I was walking down the street here in New York City, and a guy had on a baseball cap. The logo was of the Confederate Flag, and in addition he sported some sunglasses. And judging by the way he was carrying himself, he thought he was making a statement. Almost as if he wanted to say, “All these others are afraid to express themselves.” “But I’m going to be me in this overly liberal environment.” And sense the language is so sensitive, he thought people would react. Because he probably watched protest in NYC on television and figured he’d express himself. Yet no one told him on a daily basis that no one pays much attention to you. But his lack of knowledge made him look like a loser in his hat. Because he just watched TV like Fox News or CNN, and that’s how he based his perception of a liberal city.

Other reasons you have to make moves from these places is because few people have a sense of vision. People look at you and say, “No one from this small town is doing that.” And if you attempt, people will try to bring you down so you have to leave. They will be afraid of your progress surpassing them. And they think they know you because whatever family you came from as well. Kind of like, “Oh, that’s so and so’s kid.” “I been knowing his family, they up to no good, he must be as well.” So you have to go to a city where no one knows or think they know your family. This way you can start from scratch and represent yourself. And in the end, that’s the just of moving. There is a mind frame that people define as comfortable, which keeps them from growing and you as well if you stay. But lastly, don’t move elsewhere thinking your life will change. Because you have to think different yourself.

FORCED FRUSTRATION: SCENARIOS IN YOUR MIND THAT AREN’T REAL, THAT MAKE YOU MADE

We all get mad from time to time, but some of us have other forms of frustration and anger. And that form of anger is made up scenarios. That’s right, made up scenarios. Scenarios that we think about something and play it out in our minds long enough and it will make you upset. And before you alone, black-and-white, depressedknow it, you’re spiraling out of control over something that not only has no meaning, but you’re made over events that never took place. Where does it come from? How are we able to bring ourselves to such a dark place so rapidly? I have a few insights into why we do this, and how it manages to slip into our conscious mind.

Well, I can speak on these types of situations because I have had them. These intense moments when all you can think about is the anger. Mine Image result for angercould happen from a video involving a fight or a social issue I feel passionately about. Then I start to think about the event, and before you know it, I am part of the event. Now I’m mad about a circumstance that has never taken place in my life. And before you know it, I have wasted a good two to three hours made over, what. And that what is what; nothing. Where does that come from. Because mentally, for those out there who get made, it has to come from somewhere.

One of the theories I have is the idea of a lack of existence. When you don’t feel like you have a real life, this anger gives your life purpose. It’s the same reason why it’s so easy to offend people in society today. Because people Man Standing on Brown Grass Lawn during Daytimehave become addicted to the anger like a drug. But when you come down off that high you feel worst than the initial anger. Now, you have to put yourself back into that angry mind frame because you need that shot of pleasure. I wrote a prior post about dopamine in the brain. These pleasure pathways that trigger the reward-motivator inside of us. Which oddly as it sounds, if placed in the right direction, you could be happier.

Now, I’m not saying I’m unhappy, it just happens. Ok, what is another reason besides being unhappy. These triggers of anger in people can also result from issues in the subconscious. Things that make us angry can take Related imageplace when we already feel passionately about a certain topic. So, for example, you hear about a woman cheating on her boyfriend. Next thing
you know you say to yourself, “Is my girlfriend cheating?” Then wondering leads to you convincing yourself she is cheating. And now you’re angry about your girlfriend cheating that never happened. You might ruin your relationship from an event that never even took place. All because you made up a scenario in your mind.

In the end, this all sounds a bit psychotic, but it’s real. And a lot of the reasons we get mad too is based off of our own insecurities and lack of control. People make us angry and situations make us angry even when we didn’t experience them because we are not secure with ourselves. We have no control in our lives, so it must be because someone else who we never met put it there. It’s uncomfortable to talk about because it is a slight case of mental illness. But with a good quality of life, comes a clean mind.

LAWS OF ATTRACTION: HOW PEOPLE ENTERING YOUR LIFE SPEAKS VOLUMES TO WHO YOU ARE

The laws of attraction are quite real and we all have experienced this in life. We attract like energy and we also open ourselves up the the positive or negative energy that is out in the universe. We experience this a number of ways: through trying to find monogamous relationships, friendships, having random conversations, and/or our daily work environments. The way we attract people into our lives says a lot in who we are as people. Because if not for our energy whether positive or negative they wouldn’t be in our lives. And what do I mean by that, this is what I mean.

When it comes to seeking a potential mate in a relationship, the energy that is you, has a lot to do with the person you wind-up with. This can take place on multiple levels. One way is through how you look at yourself when you stare in the mirror; self-esteem. If you look at yourself as undeserving, you will attract that into your life. Thinking to yourself, this is the best I can do, then you’re going to get the bare minimum or someone mundane. Another level is operating from a space of being tired of getting the same nobody. No one gets the same person over and over again. There is an aspect of that nobody that is you. They feed of your nobody energy like looking into a mirror. They see themselves in you. And the third level is the enabler who feels being there means allowing someone to be irresponsible in moments where responsibility should exist. Meaning, they can see you are a vessel for their irresponsibility, so why not jump aboard for the ride.

Now, when looking at how you attract people as it pertains to friendships, choose those going in the right direction. Or, better yet, choose those going in the same direction as you. This does not mean since you are becoming a doctor, you only need med school friends. It simply means that if you have a vision of where you want to be and the people around you don’t, you’re being irresponsible. You’re of no use to them because they are not trying to better themselves via your initiative, and you as well will start to lower yourself. Because when you’re in a foot race in life, and you are in 3rd trying to get to 1st and they are in 6th, you have to slow down to let them catch you. But 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th are running. So when you slow down you compromise yourself, so it has to always be them catching up to you, or you let them lose. And if they are bent on running their race, they’ll catch up eventually.

Well, what about the other attraction which delves into the conversations we have in life. Certain conversations we have in life say a lot about who we let into our lives. If you spend your days conversing on telephones with people about random gossip, then you can’t say you’re tired of gossipy people. If you are in a good space mentally, it will actually feel awkward having a conversation that goes into areas of petty behavior. These random petty conversations become beneath you simply because of progression. If there is no progress involved in what you are discussing it becomes difficult to talk about. Meaning, if discussing someone who was on drugs and now is clean and living sober, it feels good. But just discussing someone’s drug habit for the sake of conversation is going to attract a certain type of person/people who revel in other’s misfortunes.

Lastly, I would like to observe our daily work environments. Where you work and the space in and around your job will have an affect as well. When you’re focusing on working and gossip is all around you, then trying to accomplish a task can be tough. Because even though the conversation does not concern you, the human brain is not meant to tune out a lot of conversation. Even though we say things like I’m tuning you out. We still hear conversations, we just try to block them out. And when the conversation concerns someone we see everyday or one of the people talking in question we listen more. So in the midst of trying to ignore, you still soak it all in. Whether the conversation is good or bad, it intrigues the mind to hear something unbeknownst to yourself.

See, in the end, we introduce a lot of energy into us because that energy we invite is apart of us. Unless something is not within you already, it is hard to introduce it. You don’t have to tell anyone about yourself, what we expose ourselves to says it all. A lot of times, the action is more than the verbal. You say you want positive energy in your life, but all you keep bringing in is negative. It’s not that it’s sneaking past you, or you are getting the short end of the stick. There’s no conspiracy to harm you, you are a co-conspirator in your own assassination of character.

THE ME INSIDE OF ME: HOW TO TAP INTO YOUR SELF AWARENESS

So many people in our world have such a hard time succeeding in what they aim to become in life. We all have heard the reasons as to why: I was born poor, I was born with a lack of adequate education in my environment, I am a minority, I am a woman, I have a different religious belief that is not what everyone else believes, or my sexual orientation. And you know what, we have and never will live in a utopia society. These are aspects of our daily lives that we have to overcome. But we also have another aspect of why we can’t succeed and that is a lack of self-awareness. And what do I mean by the lack of self-awareness?

I am referring to the skills and talents that we possess that sets us apart from each other. We’ve heard of the sayings, “Everyone is special in their own way.” Now that I am an adult I feel this is true more than ever. But how come so many people can’t tap into the inner skill they possess. This doesn’t matter your education, economic situation, ethnicity, religion, or gender. This is that inner thing that all people are endowed with in life. How does one get into the right mind-frame to attain hold of that gift? Because the human mind is very complex, yet the average human is not a complex person, but more of a simplistic person. It’s because with all the complexity that makes up the mind, so many people can’t harness it. Meaning, there are a series of, “Oh, that’s what that means.” These “ah ha” moments that create joins in the mind.

It sounds weird and sci-fi driven, but it is real. And the reason so many can’t connect, is because there is no self awareness. For example, people say, we need jobs. Then you ask them, “A job, doing what?” And they look at you and shrug their shoulders. A job is a broad ambiguous term, CEO is a job and flipping burgers is a job. What job title, what income, what employment package, what position after what time-frame? You need to be more direct instead of job and making good money. No one can define what good is, so asking me to provide you with a good paying job is a wrong way to go about attaining employment. Because I don’t know what is good for you, you do. So it is your job to say what you need a job doing what.

The reason this is so hard is because people don’t have a real discernible skill that makes them employable. Because you ask them, “What is your skill?” And they reply to you, “I don’t have one.” With no skill, what job can you get? You can’t get a job. Now some may be thinking, what about training programs? Well you can train people to do anything, but sustainability is on the basis of skill and talent, on top of the hard work. So, it is impossible to create a job among people with no skill or direction in what it is they want. Throwing money at something doesn’t help. You need to invest in people, but the people have to have something that is worth investing in that is sustainable with growth potential. Meaning, I am unemployed; someone says, “What do you do?” I reply, “I have my degree in Computer Science and I have intermediate experience with Java Script and CSS.” There is potential there. But someone who says, “I just need a good paying job.” There is no direction in what they want, because good paying job is not a real want.

All of what I have said comes from the ability to tap into the human mind that is you. In the end, if you are not able to harness how your mind works no one can help you in moving forward. It’s like dealing with a baby when trying to get people help. The baby cries and parents ask what’s wrong. The baby think you should know, but you are not that human. You can only guess what the baby needs. Only in society, you’re not dealing with a baby, it’s a fully grown adult. So you’re asked questions by adults who look at you and expect you to know their situation. Or they want you to feel their situation. Only problem is you have the issue, now what. You still need to tap into talent you or skill you. Without you understanding how your brain works to communicate what it is you need, no one will be able to assist you with anything in life. Because if you don’t know you, how will I assist you.
