MY VOTE MY DEMISE: ARE WE TOO SERIOUS ABOUT OUR POLITICS

I Voted Sticker Lot

“In a Democratic Republic.”

who really cares

Ever since the United State President elect Donald J. Trump came to office this country has been at odds. People are going as far as cutting off their own family for their political affiliation. But the main issue that I have is not who you voted for, but why are people so invested in each others political views. We, for some reason have to be so in tuned with the reasons why someone voted. We act as if the people who are doing the voting are also making the country’s decisions. When in reality, even the people they elect are not going to be doing as much as we think they are while in power. So what is the real reason we have so much vested interest?

on my side or your side

In America you are either Democrat or Republican in this country. And if you don’t have a political affiliation then people accuse you of straddling the fence. But when you fall on the side of one of the parties then you stand a chance of upsetting someone. For me, I am more liberal then conservative, but not by much. I am about 55% liberal and 45% conservative; which makes me very moderate in this country. But for most people in America today they are either 80% or 90% on one side over the other. And they have this prevailing theory that if you are not in my party then you are against me. And in a country where we are supposed to be celebrating the freedom to choose, we are targeting people for their political party options.

it should be free

Our politics should be our free way of expression but for some reason it has changed. And the current president has caused so many people to split and choose sides. But what if he wins twice? Does that mean that more and more people are going to split and choose sides? Who knows, we will have to wait until 2020 to see how things pan out.

CLASS: THE NEW RACISM

Image result for classism

“Society’s transformation.”

the new injustice

As a young man growing up in the Midwest you got a chance to see something that was quite interesting. And that was the disparity in society regarding the wealth in America. In the majority of minority communities there was poverty and then you had the predominantly White communities. This is where all the wealth was centralized. And as I aged I got a chance to see kids I went to school with, which was mostly White students who came from poor households. Then it hit me, who has the money in America if so many White families are struggling. Because the wealth is growing in the White community, but a lot of White families were poor. Yet the money wasn’t being trickled down to Blacks or Latinos.

numbers and the meanings behind them

When you hear the ethnic group and then look at the stat, you have to ask yourself, what does this really mean? Because if White wealth is growing, Black wealth is actually decreasing in the community, Latino wealth not much growth, and Asian growth is growing, but the numbers are still small; how is it White wealth is growing with a growing poor population. It seems to me like the same families that have amassed wealth money is growing at an increasing rate. Black people are being pushed out, Latino numbers are rising, but wealth is in White hands. What you’re seeing is a rich-poor nation. And when you hear Trump supporters, who are mostly White saying, “Make America Great Again,” they are not realizing their pockets are shrinking from other wealthier White hands.

as we trek along

Moving into the future the face of America is changing, which means the problems will still exist. Only thing is, what will they be. And with the pushing out of communities, you’re talking a cultural clash, a divide, but most of all, class will be a serious war. Because we are already starting to see people fight over who has the right to make what amount of money in a year. And who deserves to make what income. Trust and believe it will head into the future, even by 2050 when so many of Americans are slated to look similar in facial tone.

RIGHT TO STAY OR MUST GO: THE MULTIPLES VIEWS ON IMMIGRANTS FROM MEXICO

Image result for mexican flag

“Our land as well.”

mexico

A nation that has just over 50% of the illegal immigrants that exist in America. With less than 10% coming from other places around the globe. And that is because of the proximity to the United States. And as millions have crossed the border and continue to cross the question that has people throughout the nation split on,”Who should stay and who shall go?” Because there are people who have broken the law that are in American prisons, yet the bulk came for a better way of life. Two sides: ones side states that they should go through the legal process like everyone else, while the other side states that if they are law bidding citizens, what is wrong with them staying especially since they are contributing to society.

a conservative stance

There are so many people that are on a long list awaiting the process to come to America. And that is a process which has taken so many people years. So there is this feeling by many of them who think that they have taken that long process to enter. Why should someone else be able to walk across? And the conservative viewpoint in America aligns itself with that view. Now let’s observe that perspective for a second. If I am an immigrant looking to come to America from elsewhere, it has taken me years, and not to mention money spent, what is the feeling knowing someone easily walked across. Or better yet, Americans working everyday, already seeing their employment moved to countries outside the United States, one of those places being Mexico. Now the little employment afforded to citizens is being held in the hands of some of the same countries citizens illegally entering. That viewpoint is enough to cause an outrage within a society.

a liberal stance

Now there is another perspective that exist within society. And that is that a lot of immigrants that have been deported in America recently have been in this country a long time. Some have been here decades. So to deport them would be counterproductive considering so many have been contributing to this country the entire time. A major disagreement is the sending of children back to a nation from which they have never been. It’s like taking a Sudanese kid who was born and raised here in America for the first 15 years of their life and then sending this back to the Sudan because their parents are illegal. The ethnic link exist, but America is a far cry from the Sudan. But also placing kids in what has been compared to interment camps have rubbed even conservatives in a bad way. And as far as jobs, the jobs that illegal immigrants have are jobs that a lot of Americans can’t support a family off of anyways. So what is the solution?

deep routed issues

Some of these issues go deeper than just not being in a country. You look throughout history, we are on the very foundation of Mexican land. Now, through conquest over time, that has shifted, but the sour taste that has been left in the mouths of so many runs deep. Because you’re talking the bedrock of an ethnic group’s existence is deeper routed on this land. Now they are being told once again to leave. So this will continue to be a problem as long as you have the side this is the land of our forefathers and the side of this is the new country and that was the old country.

THE LOGIC AGAINST THE EMOTION: WHY THE PUSH AGAINST IMMIGRATION WON’T WORK

barbed wire, barrier, blur

“Build it longer, stronger, still won’t help.”

immigration

Since the presidential run of Donald Trump, the sentiment of protecting our borders and removing illegal immigrants from the country have been a topic of discussion. And for the most part, these immigrants have come from countries south of the United States borders. Not too many from Canada, throughout Europe, Africa, or Asia; but from Mexico and Central America. And my criticism of the removal is not because mainly the separation of families and protecting borders. It’s about the sentiment; this held belief of immigrants taking jobs. We need to breakdown the thought of what it is to take a “job” and what are those “jobs” that are really being taken away. LET’S OBSERVE.

the job of the American born

In the United States, since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, we have held on strong because of the work coming from manufacturing. And over time, we have seen a lot of those jobs removed and taken to overseas nations where the cost of manufacturing is cheaper. This way, by the time it (the product) hits the U.S. soil, we are seeing a price that is a direction relationship of architecture, building, businessthe business conducted by the corporations themselves with outside country’s manufacturing. Now, here in the United States, with so many factories closing, you have a lot of small cities and towns throughout the country shutting down as well because they cannot afford to compete. If you’re an American manufacturer making televisions selling for $500 how do you compete with a better quality flat screen for $275 – $300. Eventually you have to shut down.

the job of the illegal immigrant

Coming to the United States to seek out a better way of life. That is the main goal for so many trying to gain access to our country. And for those who go through the rigorous process that can take years, they feel it was worth the wait. And then there are the people who take it upon themselves to risk breaking the laws of the land in crossing over the borders by land or by sea in Image result for mexican flagsearch of a better life. Many have known to come from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Haiti, being that they are so close to the state of Florida. And the bulk of the group that come through America’s borders do so through Mexico.

the jobs they have

In the United States today, there is a held belief that the jobs are being taken by illegals in America. Well, let’s observe what that means. Since Trump has taken office, illegal immigrants have been detained throughout the country and forced back to their homelands. A move that has directly challenged policies like that of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival) created by the Obama administration put forth in the summer of 2012. And Americans have both praised and protested the push to remove and separate families. And the idea of jobs being preserved for the hard working American who are losing out to illegals has an underlying problem. Fast Food industries consisting of delivery drivers, servers, busboys, cooks, and cleaners; the hospitality industry of maids, bellboys, and other cleaning crew make up the majority of the jobs worked by illegal immigrants. What’s interesting, is since removing these families, the Americans finding fault with illegal immigration have not shown interests in those jobs. Why because they find it hard to raise a family on the income from working those jobs. So if the reason for removing illegals for the “most part” is preserving jobs and the jobs they are working you don’t want, what is the real threat?

evolution tech-solution

We say, we need to protect our borders from drugs, never works. Let’s protect our borders from violent crime, but the majority of the real threat are American born citizens. And the big one, we need to protect American jobs. But see, the real killer of American employment is technological innovation. The work that could provide for your families are or have become obsolete. That’s why you must have a more specialized skill to earn a living. The jobs like factory repetitive assembly work is not like it used to be. You now have more engineers working the machines that would in the past take multiple people for the processing of goods. And if you’re fighting technological innovation, you’re in a losing battle. Because the country, our continent, with world will not stop evolving through means of innovation and invention simply because you and I can’t keep up. We’re in a game today; a game of either evolve or get left behind.

MAKE AMERICA ________ AGAIN: WHY IS THE FEELING SO STRONG FROM A WHITE CONSERVATIVE BASE

Related image

“What is the real allure?”

2016

The presidential race between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump was a serious showdown. One for ages, you had a career politician in Hilary Clinton and a businessman with no political experience in Donald Trump. But, in the end, Donald Trump is the one who stood victoriously with the win. But there has been something that has stuck out in the election and the aftermath. And that is the surge of White voters in America behind President Trump. Does that mean he is “their” president? Or does this election win mean that the Conservative base is back where they need to be? I have a few theories as to why the White male and female base voted Trump.

the collective

During the race of President Obama, the ideology was, “Change We Believe In.” But when voters didn’t feel like they got change, it went far right. And you think to yourself, “How could that be?” How could it be that a president that so many rallied behind be this pushed against? When you look at the election between Obama and Romney, the race was quite close., unlike that ofImage result for trump voters Obama and McCain. A massive close in on the 2012 election should have been proof that a major shift was taking hold. And it was coming from the predominantly White community. Could it be the economy, foreign relations, immigration, terrorism, or health care. Either way, in 2016, the start for what would be a historic moment was about to take hold.

white males

The majority; the group who for so long dictated not only their lives, but others. And for whatever reason, now feels as if that stronghold is being lost. But let me clarify something more about this base: White male-Conservative-Heterosexual base. This base has this feeling of under attack for comments and beliefs. This is the core demographic that feels that illegal immigrants are removing what has long felt like their own. And the expectations for what a man is in society is now being determined by a feminine agenda. And Donald Trump has been seen as the answer to the problems. And if you observe how he (Trump) has carried himself in office, it appears he is catering to this longstanding base.

white females

Women for Hilary Clinton; well at least that was the ploy. But whatever the reason for Hilary running, it didn’t work because the White female base came out in large numbers to support Trump. And it really expressed something on the other side, which is doesn’t matter if a qualified woman runs; a large portion of White women would much rather have a Conservative White male in charge. Which kills the ideology that so many women hate Trump. But is all this true, or is there a lot more fear coming from a White community that really doesn’t exist.

smoke screen

What is the real threat in society? Well, the real threat is not illegal immigration, it’s technological innovation. There was a story here in New York City about a pizza delivery guy seized at a military base after he was found out to be illegal. With an open vacant pizza job, no one wanted the gig. Which is by the way, the vast majority of illegal jobs. So if you are uninterested in gigs Image result for the wall mexicolike that, you won’t do much by removing illegals. Because the jobs that are supposed to be taken by illegals are specialized jobs that are shrinking. Meaning, if Trump every illegal from America, life wouldn’t change for those behind the move. Doesn’t matter, the inevitable is taking hold, and that’s machines replacing manpower.

GOOD DEEDS: WHAT ARE THE POSITIVES OF TRUMP’S WIN ON THE ECONOMY

Image result for MAGA

“Is America better now?”

trump’s america

Since the election of President Donald J. Trump, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the commander and chief. Numerous protest, investigations, cabinets members removal, and outside allegations. But is there anything in the country going good on the economic side? Is there some truth to the motto, “Make America Great Again?” A lot think not, but there are those that think so. Well, let’s observe that for a minute.

positives

Do we have any positives for the economy under this administration? Let’s observe that for just a moment. For starters the economy is at a higher growth rate in the first few months of 2018 than it’s normal average. And the economy growth has been at its highest since the economic recession almost ten years ago. And then to add to it, the tax cuts of over one trillion dollars. So maybe there is something to this administration performing well.

controversial statement

When you say what has Trump done that was of good nature, people get emotional. And the perception of a person is nearly impossible to shift once people have their minds made up. Only me, I have my political agenda, but I also have perspective. And that is why people will find it hard to believe any good can come of this administration. We can’t see the economics because socially and politically we disagree so much. So much so, that even if we were to enter a new Gilded Age, he would still be disliked.

MADE IN AMERICAN: WILL WE EVER SEE A COUNTRY WHERE WE MAKE WHAT WE BUY

Woman Holding Us Flag during Daytime

“Keeping the system going.”

born in the usa

For the longest, products that we purchased were made in the United States. But as time progressed and America became a more modern country, it became too expensive to make products in the U.S. So companies started to move overseas for their manufacturing operations and along with it went the jobs. Now my question to you all is, will we see another mass production of goods in this country again?

machinery over man

Whatever happened to the mule plow guy when the combine was invented? Ever wonder how his life panned out? Chances are, he didn’t last in business and had to sell off his land because he couldn’t survive. And that is the same thing here as it pertains to people working in factories. The use for manpower is irrelevant at this time in history. And it’s because technology is moving to scale at a higher point than man can keep up.

boy i love a deal

Don’t we all love going to a store and buying an item on sale marked down 25% off, 50% off, and even 75%. And the reason companies can do so is because of the excess of items that need to be gotten rid of to make room for new items. But coincidentally is a reason manufacturing in America is tough as well. We walk into a store and see the same item for different prices no one is buying the same item for different prices just because it’s American.
