RIGHT TO STAY OR MUST GO: THE MULTIPLES VIEWS ON IMMIGRANTS FROM MEXICO

“Our land as well.”

mexico

A nation that has just over 50% of the illegal immigrants that exist in America. With less than 10% coming from other places around the globe. And that is because of the proximity to the United States. And as millions have crossed the border and continue to cross the question that has people throughout the nation split on,”Who should stay and who shall go?” Because there are people who have broken the law that are in American prisons, yet the bulk came for a better way of life. Two sides: ones side states that they should go through the legal process like everyone else, while the other side states that if they are law bidding citizens, what is wrong with them staying especially since they are contributing to society.

a conservative stance

There are so many people that are on a long list awaiting the process to come to America. And that is a process which has taken so many people years. So there is this feeling by many of them who think that they have taken that long process to enter. Why should someone else be able to walk across? And the conservative viewpoint in America aligns itself with that view. Now let’s observe that perspective for a second. If I am an immigrant looking to come to America from elsewhere, it has taken me years, and not to mention money spent, what is the feeling knowing someone easily walked across. Or better yet, Americans working everyday, already seeing their employment moved to countries outside the United States, one of those places being Mexico. Now the little employment afforded to citizens is being held in the hands of some of the same countries citizens illegally entering. That viewpoint is enough to cause an outrage within a society.

a liberal stance

Now there is another perspective that exist within society. And that is that a lot of immigrants that have been deported in America recently have been in this country a long time. Some have been here decades. So to deport them would be counterproductive considering so many have been contributing to this country the entire time. A major disagreement is the sending of children back to a nation from which they have never been. It’s like taking a Sudanese kid who was born and raised here in America for the first 15 years of their life and then sending this back to the Sudan because their parents are illegal. The ethnic link exist, but America is a far cry from the Sudan. But also placing kids in what has been compared to interment camps have rubbed even conservatives in a bad way. And as far as jobs, the jobs that illegal immigrants have are jobs that a lot of Americans can’t support a family off of anyways. So what is the solution?

deep routed issues

Some of these issues go deeper than just not being in a country. You look throughout history, we are on the very foundation of Mexican land. Now, through conquest over time, that has shifted, but the sour taste that has been left in the mouths of so many runs deep. Because you’re talking the bedrock of an ethnic group’s existence is deeper routed on this land. Now they are being told once again to leave. So this will continue to be a problem as long as you have the side this is the land of our forefathers and the side of this is the new country and that was the old country.

YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT: THE UNCOMFORTABLE ASPECTS OF PATROLLING THE INNER CITY

auto, automobile, blur

“Why am I here?”

not my community

Growing up for me in the inner city, the police patrolling the neighborhood was something commonplace. And you would think seeing the police patrolling would be something that is welcomed. Only  thing is that the relationship between law enforcement and the African American community has been fragmented for quite some time. And as I got older I looked in the faces of some of the men in uniform and asked myself the question, “How many of these men actually want to be here?” And when I say here, I don’t mean being a police officer. I am talking about the here, working in the Black community. Because cops become cops to protect “their” community; notice the quotes around their.

i want out

In the prior sentence I stated how serving in a community not your own may cause you to feel uncomfortable on a daily basis. And who knows how many police officers are patrolling a community they don’t want to work, but it’s part of the job. And if they do express discontent, then that becomes a problem as well. So they crossed their fingers and hope to be placed elsewhere. Now, is this a cross the board sentiment from cops, no, but it’s enough. So what must be done for those officers who are in an environment they are that uncomfortable to patrol? Well, I have my own theory in how to deal with such problem.

let them go

In America today, we think that every way to deal with someone is to fire them from their job. So if a police officer came out and said he/she didn’t want to serve in a community unless it reflects them, they would lose their gig. But to me, if you don’t want to be in the community of the people you are serving, why hold them on their jobs. Because we have enough where they are discontent and it’s only going to hurt the community. So let them transfer out because them staying only is going to lead to some problem down the line. Now that statement is controversial because a lot of people feel the cop who says hey prefer not the be around Black people is warranted a dismissal. I just feel removing the person from the environment relaxes the community. And now it becomes one less problem to deal with.

OVEREXPANSION: WILL GLOBAL CONFLICTS ARISE FROM COUNTRIES GOING BEYOND THEIR BORDERS

astronomy, discovery, earth

“Will we see another world war?”

expansion

As countries become more and more concerned with growing their economies, they will also want to expand beyond their borders. And once Related imagethis happens, you’re talking major global conflicts. But to the country expanding, they feel what they are doing is in best interest of their government and its people. One country particular will be China. China is just too big population wise to house all the people that they have; so you know what that means.

religious conflicts

As people expand out, economies could become effected from the various religious groups that are based in certain parts of the world. And if you’re trying to expand Image result for mecca into the Middle East, then you’re going to have problems. They are highly conservative in their views and trying to expand into their regions could prove costly; both economic and with lives. And losing lives in addition to the financial windfall is not something a nation wants to promote.

ethnic conflicts

Now moving into regions of the world where no one looks like you can cause problems as well. Imagine the issues that will take place once countries make their way into Africa. This is going to give radicals a serious ability to maintain. Why, well because no one will flinch over Africans being pushed out of their own homelands. So desperation will cause alliances, which will in turn cost more time and money to combat. Thus taking the world once again into financial binds.

corporations

Multinational corporations are prevalent everywhere in the world. But there are places where certain companies have a stronghold in their respective regions more than others. What would happen if banks from other countries Image result for corporationsstarted pushing out American institutions? And now American citizens are banking with foreign entities that have no reason to care for us as a nation. Now you have a conflict that cause stress on our economy.

too much already

We already have enough social and political strife that effects our society as it is, anymore could negatively effect an economy. But what are nations to do with a growing population that can’t live in the environments they already inhabit? Maybe this is another reason why North Korea and South Korea also are ending the war. Old rivals may form new alliances, and that is another way to expand without having to deal with conflicts and a hit to the economy.
