OUT OF THIS WORLD

Our planet Earth is one amazing planet to live on. It is the only place that is at least within our ability to travel, able to sustain a diversity of life. Everything from bacteria to animals, to plants and ourselves as humans. We are what you would describe as in the Goldie Locks Zone for life to sustain. All the great things that had to take place to put us in this place are truly amazing. But now that we know so much about this planet, what about understanding other planets. And yes, we already possess a large volume of knowledge about other places. But when will we  get to a place where we study space in a lab like that on Earth from space.

STATION SETUP

We already have stations in space, but what I am referring to as it pertains to stations, is the ability to have rovers drive from actually building structures to structure in space. In an article written back in 2016 on the Market Watch ← website, it was reported that the cost of a single trip to the moon is $7 – $10 billion, with an additional $28 – $52 billion in spending for a space station. WORKERS

As far as the employment for the building of the station. How will you train people to build on the moon? It’s not like here on Earth where oxygen is in the air for breathing and gravity keeps us stabilized. You’re talking a whole new host of challenges when trying to build on the moon. Or, do we use only astronaut engineers for the job that will aid in machines building the station and the engineers just making sure the mechanisms work properly. But think about the ability to us to actually use non-astronauts to build. It opens a whole new opportunity for job creation in the future.

HARVEST

Along with building a space station, what about other experiments that could take place on the moon for people on Earth. What about the idea of horticulture that Corn Field during Daytimeserves as a means for seeing what could grow on the moon. And since countries already have joint ventures in going to space, this could be something that countries come to together for a greater good project. Imagine the possibilities of animal, chicken, cockerelutilizing another planet just for countries to grow crop to sustain life on Earth. If the science is worked enough, you’re talking an abundance of food that could aid in decreasing hunger here on Earth. Even the idea of raising livestock could come into play based on experiments from space stations on the moon.

AT A STANDSTILL

Even with all the cool possibilities of building on the moon, you have a few factors that could stop these dreams. You have the extremely high cost that countries just don’t have, as well as the dangers of building. That is when Murphy’s Law comes into play, things can and will happen. So there will be years and years of studies and experiments on Earth before ever stepping foot on the moon, must less bringing equipment and materials for building.

INFINITE NOTHINGNESS: COULD THERE HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN A TIME WITHOUT ANYTHING

“Before our universe was nothing which is something.”


Before the beginning of our universe, there was supposed to be infinite nothing. But if you look into the definition of nothing, the definition of nothing is the absence of something. Yet as people, the only problem with our definition of nothing is anything that is not of tangible use. There are more elements of something that we can not see and feel, that exist than not. So, even with having nothing there is still something within that nothing. Like for example, carbon monoxide is odorless, colorless, and tasteless; which is extremely deadly because we are use to detecting problems as humans we can sense. So going back to the universe that our planet exist within. What really was before the existence of something? Was there something, but too small for us to detect? Or was the difference between absolutely nothing and something taking place so fast and so powerful that absolute nothing was a minuscule amount of time?

The first way to look at this is by means of example. Our universe is pitch black; so take out a blank sheet of black paper. This blank sheet of paper is the universe in which we dwell. And within this universe is everything that is in it including all of us. Now, let’s say before this universe, there was infinite nothing. So let’s break down the conversation a little more. The paper: meaning before our universe there was nothing. And that is both a true and false statement. Because without life in the universe there is nothing. But the statement of before our universe is nothing is false too because that sheet of paper that is our universe is something. So this is how a statement can be true and false, depending on the context of the statement. If you’re talking actual tangible life, then yes, there was infinite nothing; but infinite nothing including life would still mean the sheet of paper is something.

Now here is what’s interesting; since our universe is the sheet of paper, what was before the sheet of paper. Well, how is paper made; a paper maker. Someone must use something to make sheets of paper. So what was done to create our sheet of paper (universe). Because when we talk about our sheet, there had to have been a sporadic event that took place to create this sheet which includes our solar system, moons, galaxies, and stars. So to make sheets of paper, who have the materials (natural synthetic substances of cellulose), the machinery to press it together, and then drying them into flexible sheets. So as you see, there is a process in making paper. What were the natural synthetics, the machinery, and the drying stage? Now granted this is a very basic example, but it’s still a process of creating something. Which basically means, our universe is really something even before something.

And in the end, that’s the intrigue with our universe. That even before the time of something, there had to have been something. Because our human definition of nothing is the absence of something. But something had to be done to make our universe which constitutes the absence of something, from which something is created. So there never was a time that our universe was nothing because something had to have been done to make it into even nothing. WHAT A MIND BENDER!!!!

GONE AND FORGOTTEN: WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF ALL PEOPLE VANISHED FROM EARTH?

I sometimes think about what life would be like if people disappeared from Earth. My intrigue sparked when I first saw the television show on the Discovery Channel Life After People. It was a one hour show that would explain what happens if people were to vanish from Earth. The show talked about the animals would reclaim the land, and how long it would take for the building we built to collapse. Almost immediately, grass and trees would grow into the buildings and engulf vehicles. What’s the most interesting is how long would it take to cover up any reminisces of our existence? Will that time ever come where people won’t be here on Earth? What would an Earth without us look like?

As time progress, in a few billions years the sun is suspected to swallow up Earth. My question is, will there be people on Earth when this happens? If so, can you imagine the hell they’ll go through when this happens. But, if you know anything remotely about the science involved, people will be dead long before this happens. Well why, why would people be dead long before this happens? It’s from the fact that we only have a limited room for growth and only so many resources that contribute to our quality of life. And because the Earth is a living breathing organism in itself. So it can’t last forever, yet it’s traveling through the cosmos to God knows you where. But speaking of God, that sounds like an interesting theory. Could religion possibly be right, or maybe not?

Or, what if people die out here, but the evolution starts over once again. Maybe, because after the sun engulfs the Earth, other planets will eventually follow suit. Then the universe will reach a point where the universe can no longer expand, then we will have yet another big bang. The universe will sustain back to its original state and expand once again. Then there will be yet another ability for evolution to take hold. Could that possibly mean as human die off, we will reemerge. Or is it possible that the universe has expanded beyond capacity before and we are leftover from some previous universe?

In the end, a world without people is hard to comprehend to us, but not in the universe. We are very small in the grand scheme of things. Humans on Earth are like a grain of sand on a beach, and Earth in the universe is a grain of sand on an even bigger beach. So our existence or nonexistence is small, but my intrigue is open nonetheless.

TYPE SOCIETY: Technological Advancement Effects on the World

“Is it all good ?”

We are still not even a Type 1 civilization on earth. As long as humans occupied this planet we are nowhere near that type. You may ask yourselves, “What exactly is a type civilization?” Well the type civilizations comes from the Kardashev scale that is used to gauge a civilization’s technological advancement due to the energy used for communications. Right now in our civilization, we sit at roughly .78. Now the humans species scientifically has been calculated at around 250,000 years or more. Large amount of time to be in a place and only be .78.

What keeps us from further progressing on to at least one or maybe even a two someday? There are a few reasons as to way starting with capabilities. The capabilities of man is not there yet. But we are moving very fast especially when looking over the past few decades. From the 1960’s when man was put on the moon, up until now. Prior to the moon landing, very little has been accomplished on that level. We’ve had flight, the light bulb, and telephones, but landing on the moon is a tough act to follow. So time continues to tick, as we look for the next technological advancement or expedition. What else stands in the way, well a lot social concerns.

One of the other issues is religious. Fundamental religious beliefs will hinder so much advancement over time. Well why, why is religion a enemy of technology? It’s a hindrance because people believe a higher power created everything. And if humans are able to harness the energy on earth to control what the bible says is impossible, then it makes religions seem futile. Of course it would still serves as moral and ethical a template in how to live your life, but it would eliminate any existence of you being created by a divine deity. And since people can’t deal with the fact that this is it, and this is all they have to look forward to, they’d reject so much advancement. It’s not that technology aims to destroy religion, it’s just that society changes and religion remains constant rendering religion irrelevant.

What other social constraint is placed on advancement? Well, that would fall under sociopolitical issues. Depending on what political party is in control in whatever country, there is this push pull tug of war. Let’s say in the United States for example. There is a break through technologically, but Democrats and Republicans disagree. Not on it being of use to humanity, but which party will be in control once it’s launched. That party could potentially take some sort of responsibility for it coming to market once approval is given.

Another hindrance of moving from type civilization to type civilization would be the access to capital. Well, whose in environments with limited access? That would be third world countries. Meaning economics is another reason why technology lags and progression becomes stagnant. With all that has been said so far, what does a Type 1,2,3,4, and 5 look like. Well we are closer already to the type 1 civilization which is a planetary community. But in addition to this community, it would mean controlling certain aspects of earth: the weather or even natural disasters. What if we reach one, then what would two look like on earth?

A type 2 would mean something on a much higher level. The level of manipulating stars of our planet. Let’s say some object was making it’s way to earth. In today’s society it would mean total extension if big enough. But if we were a type Image result for type 2 civilization2, then we could manipulate other planets by placing them in the path, deflecting the object. Or we could use the energy we are able to harness to evaporate the object. Better yet, we would even have the ability to move our planet out of the way of the object. But, if you think that’s
impressive, what about type 3.

You mean there’s another level, yeah. Type 3 is even more advanced, hard to believe we could ever reach this level. But if by some miracle we do reach this level what can we accomplish? We wouldImage result for type 3 civilization be considered the master race of people. We could also stretch across galaxies meaning moving faster than the speed of light. In addition meaning we could teleport, which is only theoretical in society today.

But then there is another level up. The next level up is the type 4 civilization. Which in my opinion is not going to happen most likly ever. If it took us 250,000 years to get here, you can forget about it. Image result for type 4 civilizationThis is the level at which man could control the energy in our entire universe. Hahahaha! It’s laughable because we only harness 20 billionths of the sun’s energy, must less the energy of the universe. But guess what, there is still one more level to advancement. And that is the type 5!

Type 5 is the highest level. Type 4 is controlling the energy of the universe. So what can be more impressive than controlling all the energy of the universe as well as moving at the speed of light. This basically means defining all laws of physics. This level Image result for GODSwould make us GODS! But some would say, gods can control weather, natural disasters, manipulate objects in space, and control universal energy. No no, we’re talking creating a whole new universe, with planets, species, the bang.

But is there any real reason to reach these levels. I mean, people want to inevitably figure out how to exist on this planet. If we could find a way to feed every human on earth, we really don’t even need a reason for Type 3 – 5. But as long as there are all these social, political, and religious concerns present, reaching type 1 is still difficult.

ALIENS: WE WAIT, THEY WATCH!

As I sit here, I think to myself how interesting it is to me how much we sit and wait for the return. If you think I’m referring to religion, then no, not the return of God. I’m talking about the aliens on this planet. All my life, I’ve heard about the aliens that are supposedly out there in the universe. Watching and waiting for an opportunity to come to earth. But then I started to think about who the aliens could be. Maybe they are not coming in peace nor wanting to war with earth. Maybe just maybe, they feel we are far too boring to deal with, or they’re far too advanced for us. That’s right, as much as people think we are so special, aliens might feel there is nothing special about us. We build homes, cars, manufacture cars and clothes, build skyscrapers, even put man on the moon. Aliens probably look at us like, “Awww, look at these cute little humans.” “They’re building these little engines for carrying humans.” “Oh look, they even built an aircraft; even reaching space.” Our genius could be seen as something futile to an alien. Or maybe it’s something more humorous than we know.

That’s right, I said humorous, like entertainment. Aliens might look at Earth as cable television with countries as the television networks; meanwhile country’s conflicts are like television shows. For instance, Israel and Palestine is the channel while their conflict serves as a television show. These two groups of people throwing rocks and shooting at each other is like humans watching the discovery channel as Cheetahs chase down Gazelles. To us as people, we see the conflict as serious, but it’s entertainment to them. America is another channel, while our race for President serves as another show. The Presidency could be seen as a new season of television where main character changes every four seasons. Aliens look on and go, “Wow, didn’t see that coming.” “Americans are making some odd selections this season.” “These characters are not as interesting as the past.”

Even our entertainment might serve as entertainment to them. Or it might even be seen as something odd and confusing. Aliens might think to themselves, “What are they doing?” “Sitting in front of a box and watching each other run around with balls and sticks.” Arenas could be seen as just as confusing and odd. “Why are these humans watching other humans run around and put balls in hoops?” Sports, if not odd or confusing, might even be seen as a bit of a dumb activity. Oh, and don’t bring up our science. The Hubble Telescope and other space endeavors might be another confusing aspect of humanity. They could be thinking, “What are they doing with that telescope (assuming they even call it a telescope)?” “Then they go, “Awww, they’re trying to take pictures of the Big Bang.” “Only if they knew, they’re not even 1% close to solving anything.”

In the end, maybe there is someone who will eventually, if not a group of people that will come close to finding extra terrestrial life. This life could be something super intelligent or maybe they’re not that special themselves. Maybe we’ve been seeking other life and the life is already here. Asteroids hit Earth that killed the dinosaurs. Asteroids carry cells made capable of evolving. In that case, maybe we’re the aliens. Maybe we’re the ones from another planet that evolved into what we are today. Well, we won’t know, well at least no time soon.
