NEGATIVITY: WHY PEOPLE LIKE TO SEE OTHERS SHORTCOMINGS

“They project on to you what they hate about themselves.”

Life will always have people who thrive off of negativity, but with the advent of social media, it has been magnified even more. Doesn’t matter if it’s a celebrity, or if it’s an average Joe. People love to talk about all the bad things in another individual’s life. Now, like I said, you will always have these types of people. Yet, the only way to show them that they’re winning is to continue to feed into the negativity that they project onto you. So how do remove yourself from it, but at the same time you still need to coexist in this society. You can’t fully turn away from everything because then you lose your relevance and ability to exist in the dominant society. For starters, people have to know your mentality when it comes to how they approach you with information. With my personality, everyone knows that I will give you very little to feed off of in life. So I’m rarely approached with anything negative because I have no problem shutting you down in the rudest way.

But where does all of this negativity stem from; because it has always been around. One of the main reasons that people are negative is because when the world is moving around you, yet you’re still in the same position as you have always been the taste of sour grapes fill your mouth. And when that taste enters your mouth, instead of pointing to self, we find so many reasons why it’s someone else or hate someone else’s success. Why is it so hard to except your own failures. Because as a human we look at ourselves as these special creatures. It’s an ideology which stems so much from religious beliefs. You’re told you’re in God’s likeness, watched over by God, loved by God, then your parents cuddle you. So when you step into society and there is nothing for you, it becomes someone else’s problem. People have a hard time admitting they’re not good, or lack any real talent. And will find any reason to fight against those who do.

Especially, especially the people close to them in life. If you think strangers hate is real, try the people close to you. Whether you know it or not, your biggest adversary might be in your own inner circle. They see you all the time, know you, might have grown up with you. So when you go places in life they don’t, instead of using that as fuel to propel themselves, they take pleasure in trying to burn your building down that you built. Why? Well two reasons, one who struggling really spends time showing love for those prospering. But another reason they fight against you is because you remind them of how much time they’ve wasted in life. Not only time, but had they have put in the work, what they could have been. And what’s scary is that you can never get that time back again. Your success not only becomes their failure, but you the success becomes a walking conspiracy theory. You must have been given something no one else was given.

Yet, is it all about success being hated by failures. No, you have successful people who hate on other successful people. The negative successful person A) is angry at the other successful person B) because two reasons. Success A) fears this person passing them up, so they are no longer holding that top spot. But also, Success A) use to walk into a room and everyone loved them, now they have to share the spotlight with B). You see, in the end, negative people will always be around, but what they really need is for you to care. Once they see that you care, it’s like sharks circling their prey. Negativity is its own cruise ship out to sea, with no other passengers but the negative person. Yet, who wants to ride on a cruise alone. So negative passengers need more people on this cruise so they can have people to self-loath with out to sea.

DRAINING THE REAL SWAMPS: HOW RADICALS COULD TAKE HOLD IN AMERICA

Related image

“Potential for something sinister is brewing.”

Since President Donald J. Trump was elected in the White House back in November of 2016, there has been a sharp rise in radical views. The feeling has been that he has sparked something in these groups to make them behave a certain way. Could there be some validity to the argument because he (Trump) has expressed disdain with the same people that masses have been angry with as well. Or, could the anger be over something different than the racial viewpoints coming from the news. Could it be that the feelings are coming from a place where we should be focusing our attention, instead of on the president’s language? I have a theory into the rising tension in the United States.

Yesterday was the shooting of a Republican Congressman Steve Scalise. He is currently in critical condition in a hospital, along with a few others that were assisting him as well. The shooting was targeted at Scalise because of his political affiliation. But what would prompt someone to shoot a politician in this country simply because they are of another political Related imageaffiliation? I think one of the connections is because of the disdain for leaders in this country. People have constantly expressed their anger toward politicians for not performing their duties in the manner in which they promised. People who feel they are doing their part, yet every four years, you only see politicians actively working when they are running for re-election. But, is that the only reason as to why this country is growing in radicalization; no.

Another reason tensions have been flaring up is the lose of jobs in this country. With manufacturing work being sent overseas and people becoming more and more desperate, I’m surprised there aren’t more of architecture, building, emptythese incidents like Scalise. It’s the reason why our leaders not only should assure the country that everything is going to be fine, but work to make everything fine. Because that desperation from people could easily flip into something much more sinister. You might start seeing the election of leaders who embody men of hate from the past. Do I see a Nazi regime taking hold, no. But could we still see a climb in people who teeter on that level, we most definitely could. People have been known to make some pretty crass decisions when their back are up against the wall.

But there still leaves one more reason that the tension has been growing in this country. And that reason is one that has been long standing; racial. Throughout the United States history racial issues have extended itself to African Americans fighting the dominant power source, which has historically been White males, for freedom. But what we have now in Related imageAmerica is something far different. Now the large number of White men and women are felling shutout. What’s interesting is that the majority of African Americans still struggle in the United States. So if these White men
and women feel slighted, who are they losing to in the end. Because the business environment is still predominantly White, college universities, medical field, engineering, politics, and outside of basketball and football, the vast majority of sports.

In the end, if the confidence is not placed back into the lives of the American people we could start to see radicals taking hold in our country. The Middle East won’t be the only problem on the government’s hands. People are becoming desperate and that’s the real problem. So many get upset with Trump calling him racist and gender biased. But the real hateful person is lurking and watching from afar. Yes, Trump is flawed because he’s not used to taking orders, which is something you must be willing to do as president. So Related imagehe’s shooting from the hip, causing himself to lose support. But I can’t agree with the hate aspect of people’s view on him. Yet I will say, people voted for him out of desperation. And if they will vote for him out of desperation, how long before real threats present themselves into our society. Moving forward, he need to stop delving so much into petty behavior and the citizens have to work with our leader, otherwise draining the swamp will be draining to sewer, but in reference to radicals and not politicians. Because at this moment that sewer is becoming clogged with raw sewage looking to present themselves.

STEPH CURRY WHO! HATER OR HATE: THE DOWNSIDE OF BEING GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO

“What is it about greatness that people hate so much?”

Recent news of NBA basketball player Stephen Curry’s troubles with other NBA players have surfaced. He is unaware of why so many have such disdain toward him considering he pays homage to the greats. But where does it all really come from. The guys who have these issues with Curry are just as great if not greater, so what is it? There are a few reasons as to why Curry deals with such issues and other men and women like him in society. The reasons are envy, fear, and the other is having to rise to an occasion that someone else has risen to in their personal or professional persona. So what does that really mean?

Well, for starters the envy that is creeping up comes from the idea that some of the guys who don’t care for Curry were top dogs when he came into the league. Now that he is the bigger name, now he is seen as some form of competition of threat. But instead of competing and letting that do the talk, it turns into something much more. The problem with that is that you can become so wrapped up in your disdain for someone else you start to fall off your game. It’s kind of like the issues comedian Kevin Hart have had in recent years. When he came in the comedy world he was little Kev, now he’s above all the guys who were like mentors to him. Some people get comfortable with you in a certain space and can’t see past that. Then you shoot past that point, and all the haters comes into play.

But is it the haters or is it hate. And the hate brings me to my next reason why people have disdain and that is the fear. The fear of you doing something better than them forcing them to step up their game up. Or, some people don’t have the ability, but instead of asking you, they sink deeper. They are in fear that someone will be better than them and don’t want to focus on them. They are so engaged in what you’re doing that they lose out in life. But is that the only reason why so many people have issues with someone who has done nothing to them? Why do people have so many Steph Curry issues with other successful people? It’s also the personal as well as the professional.

Which brings me to my last point, and that is the persona you carry in society. Steph Curry carries himself well in society which also makes people not like him. When you’re a public figure and your public image is so good, not just from some PR stunt, but you’re the real person, you’re hated. They would love nothing more than to see you fail. Why, well because everyone is always expecting you to be this good guy as well. They say things like, “You should be more like this guy.” “This guy would never do anything like what you just did/do.” People don’t want to rise to the occasion of being a certain type of guy, so they show disdain toward the good guy.

See, in the end, people will always have a reason not to like someone they perceive to be in a position of status. And if you’re a good guy, then people really don’t like you. I wrote something similar earlier in past posts where if you’re always good, they can’t connect to you because you don’t have a smudge. It’s the same thing that happened to Tom Brady, Tiger Woods, and many others. People love to see some type of crash so they can say I told you so or this person is just as messed up as myself. You will never be able to understand these people, and most likely you don’t ever want to understand them.

CRASH AND BURN: WHY SO MANY PEOPLE LOVE TO SEE THE TRAIN WRECK

Related image

“Why do they build you up just to see you fall down?”

Growing up, you come from nothing and work your ass off. Eventually you become a success. People flock to you because they know where you came from in life. Everyone loves a rags to riches story. It gives them hope of maybe not quite the financial success, but a better way of life than they have at the moment. But where does this veer off into a whole other path. What do I mean by that; I mean what makes people become irritated with you? It’s almost as if your continuous success begins to make people sick of you.

Well why; why do people want to see a train wreck even though they know how far you’ve come in life. Ok, to be honest, everything is in context. I don’t think everyone hates you because your continuous success means you have a pretty good base of people who patronize your work. I’m talking about the people who want to be around for the collapse. Celebrities have to deal with people like this on a national level, but the everyday Joe has to deal with the same thing as well. But how does the average Joe deal considering the people that hate on them are usually friends and family.

I have a few reasons as to why people love to see the train wreck once you’ve become successful. One of the reasons is that people want to still be able to connect to you. Once you’re successful and that’s it, you become someone they can’t relate to. Your screwing up and falling shows that slight bit of normal to that person who doesn’t like you. Without a fall, especially if you’re really successful, they grow to be resentful.

Which leads to my next reason as to why people love to see a fall. The other is the feeling that your success is confirmation that they have not done much in life. If you worked in your 20’s and they partied, but now you’re very financially by age 30 and they have just become serious, they’ll sometimes resent. They realize that if they could have those ten years back, it could be different. The more successful you become the more they resent. Eventually, if the person is someone close to you, you have no other choice but to lose that relationship.

In the end, I don’t care how much disdain you receive, never compromise. And when someone hates you because you’re successful, become more successful. Learn to get revenge by being great. Not to rub it in the faces of people who hate you. But show them they don’t have an effect. Because once you crack under the pressure, they’ll continue to forge ahead. But remember to also never lose sight of the people who love you for achieving your dreams. And note that if you’re still successful, you have more love than hate.
