“Feed the fight.”
WHAT IS IT?
Simple put, Cancer is a collection of unrelated diseases that can occur anywhere in the body. So how does Cancer develop in the human body. Well, we all have cells, trillions of cells that once they reach a certain age, they die off. Then new cells take the place of old cells and the process starts over again. Only with Cancer, the cells that should die don’t, and new cells come about when not needed to come about. And from this, at times, tumors can develop because of these extra cells still in the body continue to divide without stopping. Now tumors that are malignant can spread into other areas via the tissue. And if not treated early, cells in this tumor can break and travel to other parts of the body. There are over 100 types of Cancer, and are categorized depending on the location.
COMMON TYPES
With over 100 types of Cancer, even the healthiest person can come across this deadly disease. But the more common types of Cancer are: Breast, Colon, Prostate, Leukemia, and Lung.
Breast Cancer
This is the type of Cancer known to form in the breast. This is most commonly diagnosed among women in the United States. Over the years, the deaths attributed to Breast Cancer have declined and continue to do so. A lot of this has to do with the awareness and early detection. The chart below shows how many people are living with the disease in America.

Colon Cancer
This form of Cancer exist within the large intestinal tract. It starts as a small polyp and can grow to become Cancer. The chart below show people with Colon Cancer on Earth who are of the highest cases. Research is from 2012 conducted by the World Cancer Research Fund.

Prostate Cancer
This disease is more common among men and plays a vital role in urinating. But the disease can be treated if it is in its early stages. The graphs below show Prostate Cancer statistics based on rates in the world.

Leukemia Cancer
This is a blood disease that attacks the blood tissue including the bone marrow and the lymphatic system. It’s a sickness more common in children, and other forms exist in mostly adults. The bone marrow produces abnormal white cells.

Lung Cancer
A Cancer that forms in the lungs, and more deadly than prostate, colon, ovarian, and breast combined.

WILL THERE BE A CURE
As for the possible cures for any of the forms of Cancer, will scientist attempt to cure. Because so much money has been in the treating of diseases and not the cures. But at the same time, keeping people alive is way more beneficial to a civilization. And due to scientific breakthroughs we have already decreased numbers over the years. Yet, with new breakthroughs, diseases seem to adapt and mutate,; they learn their surroundings and get stronger. But we still have to try, and that perseverance will keep researchers busy for years to come.
