FAKE NEWS: HOW IT HAS BECOME A PROBLEM

Related image

“Big problem, little attention.”

Our news outlets on television have long been the information medium for all of our news; outside of newspapers and radio. But in recent years, more and more news is flooding the internet. But the news that is flooding the internet is not necessarily the news we should be reading. Why, well because a lot of the news on the internet is not real or highly misleading. Someone might post a photo on the computer of a situation with a totally different agenda, and people blindly follow. I was scrolling through my Instagram today, and saw a photo someone posted about Martial Law in Chicago. A few hundred people commented, but instead of blindly replying, I did my research. I found that photo, and it was of the National Guard looking for the Boston Bombers after their attack on the marathon in Boston.

In that particular situation, it was truly necessary for the National Guard to patrol the streets. A strict curfew was placed so that people would not be of a danger to themselves, nor a threat to the law enforcement looking for the bombers. But why do we just follow the lies, when in reality, the truth is far more different. One of the reason we do so as people is to justify our bias we have for a particular situation. We want to believe there is government conspiracy so we have a reason to say,” This is why my life is panning out a certain way.” We have a need to make sense of something we don’t understand. And if you are not someone who follows, you’re all of a sudden the problem. When in reality, they are just as blindfolded, even more because their own agenda clouds their mind of thinking. Meaning, they are so into their agenda, they start out credible, and lose credibility as they explain because there are so many flaws in their thinking.

So how do we combat these types of people from having a voice. We really can’t because there is a freedom of press. And who is a member of press is very ambiguous to be honest. You used to have to have press credentials to report and people listen. Now anyone with a large social media following can report on a particular issue with people listening in on what they have to say. Yet when seeing the news becoming misleading, you realize that everyone with access to a computer shouldn’t have a voice. Having a voice will eventually become a privilege and not a right because too many incidents are taking place over misinformation. Yes, President Donald Trump is right about news being fake, but it’s directed in the wrong place. The internet such as Facebook hosts a large volume of stories that just aren’t real.

And in the end, we have to find a means to combat information that is not real. People are rallying and protesting over incidents that did not even happen. Yes, people have a duty to research information before blindly following, but you as the reporter also have a duty to report on situations that happened. It’s not your job to put a spin on something that didn’t happen for the sake of increasing your social media following. But if you don’t want the responsibility of having to deal with the grunt of complaints, always state this is my opinion or I think, instead of this is what happened. Because when there is a mass hysteria, you’re partly to blame.

ALTERNATIVE FAITH BASE: WHAT IF GOD EXIST, BUT NOT OUR BELIEF IN HIM

bible, book, church

“He might exist, but we could be wrong about him.”

The alpha and the omega, the creator of the heavens and the Earth; God. The age old questions, does he exist? Did God create us, or was he made up for humans to have purpose in life? But what about the alternative to both views. What if God exist, just not how people of faith see him. Meaning, what if science is wrong about his existence? But also, what if people of faith is wrong about his existence as well? Whoa, how could that be possible? Well, I have come up with a few scenarios as to why both sides could be wrong. One of the ways both could be wrong is his existence.

His basic existence could be something different on the scientific side and the religious side. Let’s first start with the scientific side that says there is no Blue Orange and Red Outer Space PhotoGod at all. Well, just as much as religion can’t prove his existence you can’t prove his nonexistence. Science can aim to disprove his existence as to how people interpret him. Meaning, humans were created by a deity is the religious faith base. But what if God is the all seeing, all knowing, who created the earth, and all creatures. But, he may not be the deity we see him as, but more so the force keeping all of existence of everything in order. And our scientific understanding of the universe, is in essence an understanding of God.

We could be slowly figuring out God, just from a scientific standpoint. Our human minds could have created the scientific theory for what he the creator have wanted us to find out. Our scientists just are picking up the bible, book, chaptercrumbs of what he left for us to figure out. It’s doesn’t remove science, but it also doesn’t remove religion as well. Which brings me to the religious aspect of who God is. And that is interesting in itself. What if God exist, people of religion would be ecstatic. But what if he is not the God we want to accept? What if he is more so one faith, than the other? Are we all ready to accept what the all-seeing God truly is as a deity? And what do I mean by accept who he is.

Let’s say you’re a Christian, and you die. You stand before the voice of the Gold and Black Crucifixhigher power. And then God says to you, “You have to past these series of test.” Makes sense because our religious beliefs always imply that God gives us obstacles. So, your first test is standing before God. Then your next test is
standing before Jesus Christ. But one more test you must face, and you’re ready for that test. Then out walks the Prophet Muhammad. Now, here in book, close-up, faiththis moment, you can’t accept that. Why would a challenge be to prove yourself to Muhammad. Now, your human belief says this must be wrong. But religion says God makes no mistakes. So what do you do? Because you can’t challenge God, it’s his house.

So, accept what he has placed before you or remove yourself from his kingdom above. Because he doesn’t need you, you need him. And what I could have just said would be the same for Muslims and Jews mixing the bible, church, handsdifferent deities. You might reject what I am implying in this moment. But what would you do standing before God. So even in our own belief of not challenging God, you’re ready to challenge him. Yet remember what I said, God makes no mistakes. So if you shall prove yourself to these other deities, then so be it.

And in the end, that’s what has so many people stuck in thought. We control so much on Earth, that we want to now control the afterlife. But you don’t control the afterlife. We all have beliefs and theories of what takes place after you die, and who you answer to when you die. Science says no one, this is it, and religion says God. But neither is ready to deal with both sides being wrong.

CONSPIRACY TRUTHER: WHY IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE THE CONSPIRACY THEORISTS

Image result for conspiracy

“Maybe the conspiracy guys are a little off in their thinking.”

In my life, I have heard the different conspiracy theories regarding major events that have taken place that have reshaped our society. And when I say major events I’m referring to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, 9/11 terrorist attacks, or even going far back as the Kennedy assassination. There have and will always be these conspiracy theorists who feel the people have been duped. Duped, yet they have the real answers as to what actually took place. But do they really have all the answers? Are they so convinced that they are now going down a rabbit hole like the people they attack. I have come to a conclusion regarding conspiracy theorists.

As with any belief in anything, you have the people who are going to stand on the opposing side of the argument. Meaning, the believers that the bible is the book of the word of God. And then you have the other side that believes that the bible is just a book written by man. Now if you are seeking to discredit the bible, then the information you come up with will be strong Related imageagainst. Not just because the information might be right, but because you’re on the opposing view. So of course you will have the right answers in your mind, you’re entering with a bias view. Now, we can’t fully eliminate bias from our minds, but if your view is so strong against, you’re going to convince yourself. So what must you do if you have a strong theory.

I would suggest you not only come up with your right ways, but also the opposing view ways. Meaning, if I don’t believe 9/11 happened, present to me all the ways it could have happened. Then present to me after your way it couldn’t have happened the way the government say it did. This way, you have done the research of the yourself, and the person who you’re up against. But if you just provide your proof, then you actually sound like the opposite end of the spectrum of the person you’re talking about. That is what makes good researchers great. I’m skeptical on both sides because both are on such extreme sides. But, what is another reason why it’s so hard to believe in the theory.

The other reason it’s so hard is because the secrecy of people. To keep something of the magnitude of the events that are supposed to be cover ups is too massive to keep secret. For example, look at the guy who shot Osama Bin Laden. He could not wait to tell the world that he is the one that shot Related imageBin Laden. He is not that much different from a lot of people. When you understand what we are as a species, then you know enough to understand why we can’t hold on to something so strong. And that is proven through the conspiracy theorists. They can’t wait to figure out what is going on to thrust it onto the world. They are not that much different than the people they are saying have this elaborate scheme. Both people are proof that a secret cannot be kept in a certain group.

But there is also another aspect of why conspiracy theories are so hard to believe, and that is the brilliance of our system. I wish the people in our system was as smart as the theorist make them out to be. But when you observe on a daily basis their productivity, you just can’t help but to further question the theorists. You listen to the conspiracy and the theorists are smarter than the people they are chasing after. Don’t get me wrong, I do think there are people who have been set up by government. But the level of ingenuity doesn’t exist in our government. If Apple or Microsoft wanted to pull off a conspiracy I am more apt to believe it than the government.

In the end, the conspiracy is hard to believe because the credit given to the conspirators are too much. It’s hard for so many people to believe in the truth as well because it means we are vulnerable. It means that we are not as smart as we think we are; and the conspiracy gives validity to people we assume know better. Because if they are lost and they are the leaders, then where does that leave the rest of society.

NEW BROOMS SWEEP CLEAN, JUST WAIT!

trnh

“Why is it so hard to keep it up?”

Ever hear the term, “A new broom always sweeps clean?” People always put their best foot forward up until a certain point. But why is it so hard to keep that going? The reason being is that we put on airs because we don’t want people to see the real us. Yet eventually, we all get a chance to see that person for who they truly are in this world. Trust and believe that they’ll show their asses. This may personify itself on a job, relationship, and or in day-to-day society.

Look at when you’re on a job for instance. The new broom is the person that dresses nice their very first day. Or better yet, their first month on the job is going to be picture perfection. But what about one year into the job when you’re showing up 10 – 15 minutes late. Instead of being cordial like in the beginning you wind-up having confrontations with your employer. Initially you ask coworkers who want something from the store for lunch. Then you eventually go off to lunch without even asking anyone around. You’ll put extra work into your job in the beginning then enough time goes by for you to be the status quo guy. Your smiles will turn into frowns and your wanting to be at work will become watching the clock all day long.

Now that’s just a job, what about a relationship? Men love to open car doors for a woman. We need to prove chivalry is not dead. Women turn into Susie Homemaker because she loves catering to her new man. Then the time sets in and the real people come out. He begins ignoring his phone calls and she begins to nag in his ear. He starts to curse you out of your name and she is breaking your car windows. Why because it’s hard to keep up something that’s not you. I mean think about it, how many men actually consistently open car doors. And how many women consistently cater to their men.

But what about living in day-to-day society. People’s interactions in society are fresh and new, especially when you live in a new city. Like for me, when I first moved to New York City, I was so Mr. Niceguy from the Midwest. After a while, I started to talk and think like a New Yorker. Because in order to survive here it required being a lot tougher than I’m used to being. So in the end, the new broom sweeps the way it does because we all put our best foot forward. We don’t want to come off aggressive because sometimes it’s not about being fake. Sometimes we want to bring people into our lives slowly. Make people understand you, then they can go I like this person, despite their faults rather than this person is just a jerk.

THE DONALD: WHY HE’S RELEVANT!

Image result for donald j trump

“The things we hate most about him.”

Make America Great Again! This is the exclamation that has been the premise for the 2016 election run for Republican and Presidential hopeful Donald J. Trump. He, over the past year, has what some call made some pretty inflammatory comments. But, if the comments from Donald are so inflammatory, then why has he not slowed down? He is not only still in the race, but has gotten stronger. What is it about Donald Trump that resonates with so many people? Well let’s start off by the comments that have people so upset.

In the beginning, Donald Trump was this fresh, new look into the Republican party. He is a television personality and business executive, not a politician. All the others were career politicians, with the exception of Ben Carson who is a physician. Initially, his comments excited people overall because he was seen as entertaining. But once he ventured into the social, that’s when everything changed. Trump’s comments regarding the Hispanic community as well as Muslims is what got the ball bouncing for the tension. But conversely, Trump gained an even larger fan base.

Well what was it? What has caused people to be on the side of Trump? Well, in my opinion, it’s the same reason why his opponents dislike him. For starters you have society push back against Trump. The communities that he has spoken of the most have protested him since the beginning. Mainly the Hispanic community regarding illegal immigration and his issue with radical Islam. Then he stated he felt more law enforcement is needed in already divided inner cities of Black communities. Now, all the celebrities are coming out as well.

But what is the biggest fear regarding Trump. It can’t be the fear he’s going to harm a lot of people. There is so many steps you have to go through to get anything accomplished in our government, that the odds of him doing what everyone fears is slim. No, our fear lies in the fact that Trump actually is a representation of us. Now you might go us, with everything he has said. But he truly is all of us. So where is the proof of it. I came to this conclusion the more public figures came out.

First with the Hollywood crowd that labeled Trump as a racist. Well hold the phone. Aren’t these celebs in an industry where a movie has a hard time receiving the budget because of the ethnic group in the film. So how can you point the finger at this guy and not address the individuals over here. They judged Trump for his misogynistic comments toward women, but these same people will tell a woman she’s not qualified for a movie role because of her age. It’s like they talk the ultra liberal agenda, but don’t live by it. Speaking of women, even professional athletes have stepped forward. Oddly enough, these same athletes have over 90% divorce rates in their leagues due to infidelity. Or the fact that  these men can’t wait to settle into their hotels whenever on the road, so they can enjoy the local strip clubs. Or our musicians who put together lyrics expressing their own sexual conquest of women.

So why has society become this dishonest. Like I said before, he is actually us. We disagree with what Trump says, but it is not foreign to the ear. Meaning, had he have said Muslims need to be enslaved or placed in concentration camps, there would be more outrage. Why, well this view is foreign to us in America because we don’t live that way anymore. Until it is foreign to the ear what he says, then he or guys like him will always have relevance. You see, Donald Trump is one big mirror. So every time he speaks there is an aspect I see of him in everyone. Instead of saying we all do say these things, and work to fix them, we act as if they don’t exist or never heard of them.

And that is why his presidential run is so strong. News journalists ask questions regarding something that Trump has said or done and get the PC reply. And the reply is so obvious that it’s a lie, his following gets stronger. He is karma for dishonest people. If America was honest with itself, he wouldn’t be around. But for some reason, you can’t get people to see themselves. So he is not what the country does not need, he is a true representation of what America really stands for under the surface. So when he says things I go, oh, ok. There is no real reaction because the outrage is not consistent throughout society.

In the end, even though I am not a Trump supporter, I get the lure. People are frustrated with not only the employment market, but the social landscape of America. People are irritated at how we refuse to not be honest. But most of all, people are mad because they want to be honest, but anything will get you labeled in today’s society. My view is that as long as people talk in soundbites and tip toe around responses there will always be a Trump. He is necessary; whether you like him or not, his presidential run is necessary.

#AWAKE UP SOCIETY!

Image result for conscious

“Are you awake in society or do you think you are?”

As I observe the social media comment sections in Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter; you see something. Something that a lot of people claim to be, yet most will never reach the level of cerebral understanding; #AWAKE. People say this, but what does it really mean? What does it mean to be awake. And no, I’m not speaking regarding the awake we feel the moment our eyes open from sleeping. I’m speaking about the consciousnesses of the mind that seeks to understand the world around us. And even by that statement, I mean awake as far as our relationships with each other.

Well, I am still seeming to be ambiguous with the statements I am making so, let me spell it out. I talking to be awake, meaning hearing or witnessing something that is sensitive to the mind that forces you to break it apart and observe it with an objective mind. One of those things is politics. We are all witnessing the presidential election where that hash tag awake is posted. But people put awake after calling Trump racist. For example, “Trump gaining in the poles and millennials not active in voting.” “It could really aid in Trump winning and a serious shake up of America socially.” #awake #wakeup #woke.

Really, are you really awake. People out there sitting on the couch seriously think that if Hilary Clinton win that she is going to do it for them. But that is not to say Trump’s constituency has anything coming to them either. I am under no illusion that Trump will hurt America socially any worse than America is at the moment. The only difference between Trump and Hilary is that people feel more comfort in being them; yet the sentiment is still there. You have all these celebrities saying Trump is racist, yet they can’t even get Hollywood to budget a film if there are too many of a minority group. Celebs say sexist, but complain to the industry about equal pay for women. Seems to me like you can’t say clean your yard, if your own house is on fire.

What else makes you awake politically; how about to the idea that banning guns isn’t the issue. Because banning guns have no effect on getting guns. Why because criminals don’t care about legislation. So Republicans say, Stop and Frisk, but that doesn’t work because it is unconstitutional. Neither of them ask where are the guns really coming from and this is how to stop it. Well, is that possible? And if so, why haven’t it been stopped. For instance you have an inner city problem with guns that banning guns and frisking won’t fix. You see, how they get there is more corrupt, which is not a topic no one wants to delve in to. You have guns property of police departments and military in the hands of gangs in America.

Which leads into my next awakening which is the exchange of guns and money. Hmmm, oh I get it, the gangs get the guns, for selling drugs that is. The guns are confiscated during a bust, and the police showcase the guns with drugs on television and newspapers. The convicts go to jail and are forced into the business of the correctional facilities where a multinational corporation provide clothing, bedding, and food for the inmates. Well, stop it from getting to that point. You mean stop the guns used so drug dealers can perform their jobs. Or how about the drugs. Nearly 80% of cocaine has been known to come through the Port of Miami. If there is a real war on drugs, that port can’t be locked down? Over 70% of America’s Heroine comes from the middle east’s Golden Crescent. Yet we have thousands of US troops around these borders. And still no traction. Come on, these are not geniuses trafficking guns and drugs.

And no one knows anything. You mean the traffickers are one step ahead of government. Or maybe it’s because there is corruption. Which leads me to my third awakening, which is the corruptible behavior of our leaders. When you look at a city like Chicago, where the murder rate is high enough to rival third world countries, you go nothing can be done. But Chicago is also a city with it’s internal decision making problems as well. One that has stood out in the recent years was Ron Blagojevich trying to sell President Obama’s political seat in a corruptible move which landed him in prison. How can the city control street violence if men and women at the legislative level are under investigation? Leaders who the public trust to do their jobs.

Maybe it’s racism, maybe no one cares because the victims tend to be Black and poor. Well in the third paragraph I stated briefly how people see Trump as the catalyst for more racial tension. But in reality it has always been here; lying dormant within people. I know and understand that the only way for the system to intervene is if a young White female or male to get caught in a cross fire in Chicago, legislation would happen immediately. But that’s not just Trump, Hilary would call for swift action as well while not addressing the situation otherwise. And that is the difference between people who are awake and call themselves awake. We think there is specific party saving the masses, when in actuality they both play the same game.

Hilary is docile with her bull and Trump is loud. Her language as well as others like her is soft and his is more aggressive. Just because he says I don’t care doesn’t mean she does for not saying she doesn’t care. We believe in society that overt is wrong and silence means opposite. Yet I would rather know someone’s sentiment and make my decision than for them to remain quiet and cut me behind the scenes. But I guess we as a nation will continue to be lured in by language and not in addition to language watching the moves of decision makers as well.
