BROKE NIGHTMARES: DO YOU FEAR NOT HAVING ENOUGH MONEY

Man Holding Brown Leather Bi-fold Wallet With Money in It

“It’s why I work so hard.”

never enough

You ever get the feeling like you don’t ever have enough money. You look at your bank account and see there is something there. But the moment you need to make a purchase it looks low. And this your reason for always working. Yet should your entire life revolve around you not having enough money. Because you might feel broke, but in reality have more money than most people. That’s all because money is relative. You might make $1,000 a week and feel broke. But someone else says that’s making good money. So depending on who says it money can have that relative.

you might have less

What are you using your income for that has you feeling this way? Because you might actually have less than you do. People are utilizing there income to do what they are not supposed to will always feel like they have less. So sit down and analyze your finances. You might have more than think if maybe just maybe if you handled money a lot better.

an excuse to work

If you are like me, you might just be a workaholic. You could have more than enough and always feel broke. That can be dangerous because it aids you in reaching your full potential financially, but you never live a fulfilling life. Days will go to weeks and months, then before you know it years go by and you have done nothing but work yourself. Work to make money you never use. And then you defeat the purpose of making money.

fears of falling

I look around New York City at all the people getting on the train with no food. They have no place to call home. And your life could be that with just a series of setbacks. So I feel at times it’s better to work and have less time than to not work at all, struggle but have more time. And to think in that context is rough but it’s what I know best. What about you?

WORK LESS, ENJOY MORE: LIFE IS NOT ALL ABOUT HAVING A JOB

adult, blur, businesswoman

“All work and no playtime.”

work work work

People such as myself, work and work and work, without really taking a day off to just rest. But when you are so motivated how do you rest. Well, there is something to be said about working less and enjoying life. Because for starters, tomorrow is not promised. But for the most part, if you live to be a great age, do you really want to look back and all of your youth was spent grinding to be successful.

what’s driving you

When you’re driven, others will look at you like what is wrong with this person. But they live their lives working and home, working and home. So it’s hard for them to understand why you’re so driven. They don’t see the things you see in life. And if they do, it’s so murky, the odds of getting to that successful point in life is not in reach. But your dreams are in reach, which is why it’s such an obsession to work. If people could for a second see into your mind they would understand your fight.

running out of time

Where are you going? Seems like you’re headed nowhere fast. Some people you never indulge work until time has depleted. You don’t understand that when you’re working and working, days turn to weeks, weeks to months, and then years of your life are gone. So if you’re working all the time, it better be for something great. You better be in the process of carving out a name that will live on forever. Because you are sacrificing  a lot of precious time on Earth.

BROKE MAN’S MENTALITY: WHY PEOPLE COMING FROM POOR COMMUNITIES STAY POOR

Image result for poor communities

“How do you know, if you don’t know?”

urban economics

When you look at the landscape of the United States and the way the economics is broken down, you can’t help but to acknowledge the poverty of America. We have so much wealth and yet it’s in the hands of very few people in this country. But there are the success stories of people who come from poverty into prosperity. And they tend to live out their lives in prosperity.

But why do so many people make money and go back into poverty. Or better yet, why don’t most make it out of poverty?

the know

As a man who comes from the poverty level, I can tell you first hand that it’s a lot harder than just a bootstrap viewpoint. There are many parts to making it out of poverty. You have to be in the right schools, good home life, an innate ability to get things done, and a little bit of luck never hurt. All of these parts added up is what must happen to remove yourself from poverty.

But you have to also acknowledge another aspect of poverty. And that is that people who are poor tend to handle money in a very irresponsible manner as well.

living the life

I remember one day walking down the street here in New York City, and seeing two guys make an expensive purchase of a good from a high end retail store. But then they walked into a housing project. And it had me thinking, why are you spending thousands of dollars on clothes and living in public housing. And it has to do with not knowing how to utilize your dollars.

How do you spend a thousand dollars on a pair of shoes on Madison Avenue (NYC’s Rodeo Drive), and your living arrangements are poor. I have also seen luxury vehicles in parking lots of housing projects, yet Toyota, Dodge, Ford, and Nissan in the posh Upper East Side. It’s that being poor is tough enough, so people overcompensate so they don’t have to look poor.

But what it does is take you down an even darker road into debt.

poverty level

The below chart is of the breakdown for what is a household poverty income in 2018. The chart can be found on the Needy Meds website.

remove yourself

How do you keep yourself from being the person in the group of poor thinkers. Because when I get paid from work the first thought in my mind is paying bills. Some people think I need to go shopping at a retail store for goods. And there lies a portion of the problem, the mindset. Most people don’t think they have a mind for poverty, but they do. being born into wealth helps, but a mindset for building helps a lot. Problem is, everyone is not intuitive people.
