TOO MUCH SELF AWARENESS: ARE WE BECOMING TOO IN THE KNOW

anatomy, biology, eye

“We were made to learn; but this much, really?”

INTRODUCTORY

The more we become aware of who we are, are we starting to see humanity become more and more depressed? Are we hitting this point where we are so in the know that it’s bringing people down? Because if you are a science buff, then you have reason to believe that people are not going anywhere special after death. And if that is to be held as factual over time, then how will that fair with man knowing that this is it? Or, are we going to see the complete opposite? People may become more empathetic once we fill that this is it for us on Earth.

EVIDENCE

Graphical chart

The chart below shows the science of the way in which humanity has evolved in the mind over time.

The chart was made using the information found on the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

The information above was found from the → Smithsonian website regarding how the brain has evolved over time. The independent dots represent the different stages of human evolution, while the dots attached to lines shows what happened between that time years ago.

  • At the highest point we are at 4 – 6 million years ago when scientist stated that brain size increased giving us the ability to walk upright and make simple tools.
  • The second point shows where the brain and the body increases with respect to each other about 2 million to 800,000 years ago. At a time where we also ventured throughout the globe and came in contact with many different ways of life and survival.
  • Then the third point is represented by the lowest point; and this is where we experienced the climate change and how we as humans adapted to our surroundings as well as our interactions with each other. A time where life was unpredictable and the brain had to adjust; 200,000 to 800,000 years ago.

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

All of this information we have and will have in the future means that once we continue to experience shifts and changes in climate and our relationships with each other grows, so will our brains. And once you get in the know it’s impossible to go backward. But will it make people more depressed and more vulnerable? So far, we have lasted this long on Earth and we have learned and continue to learn every step of the way. So being too in the know is only scary to generations who have lived a long time on Earth and watch drastic change from when they were young. We aren’t knowing too much too soon, you are just getting old and can’t handle it, and you’re rejecting new information that you believed for so long to be false.

MENTAL EVOLUTION: IS THE BRAIN STILL EVOLVING

Related image“Is there still room for growth?”

We as humans have been evolving for millions of years. But have we hit a wall and are now devolving? Because when I look at how we use technology and how we communicate, I’m starting to see this weird trend. It’s almost as if people have this amazing technology, but they are using it to push us backward instead of forward. We argue, we fight, and we use it to kill. Now the few chosen people who use it build will always grow. But what about the rest? Or, maybe I’m just being paranoid because we are living in real time.

COULD IT REALLY BE THAT BAD?

Because living in real time, everything seems bad, until we look back in time. But let me ask you a question, do you feel that life is going backward? Or could it be that also we are in the testing period of all this great technology. In the testing period, we appear to be going backward, but really we’re working out all the kinks. What we could be seeing are the defective people who are using technology in the wrong manner. And it is causing us to appear like moving backward is real. But are we really?

IMPOSSIBLE TO GO BACK

Now, if you know anything about science, you would know, it’s not possible to digress. And the reason being that once you open people’s minds to the possibilities, you can never go back. It’s impossible to go back to eight track tapes once you see the magic of digital. It’s impossible to go back to life where women were forced to be at home now that women have a position in our workforce. And with that said, the mind continues to expand, especially the more we build and the more we challenge ourselves. The mind can’t stop evolving because every generation is looking to outshine the previous.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THOSE WHO DON’T CHANGE

For the regions of the world that never shift, you’re going to have a large demographic of people stuck in limbo. And one reason is because as science and technology shifts, their beliefs don’t change. And the evolution of the mind of these places are going to get left behind. But like I said, we don’t digress with the human brain. So what will happen, those who refuse to change won’t have to worry about enemies, their own youth will fight back. Then you’ll be stuck in a decision to fight them or deal; and to continue the civilization, you will have to deal.

MENTAL EVOLUTION: HOW SHIFTING YOUR PERCEPTION AIDS IN HUMAN GROWTH

Image result for mental evolution

“Mind over bull.”

As an adult, you are able to survive in this world because your parents may have given you the basics in how to go into world with confidence and live. But what your parents can try to prepare you for, that you inevitably have to do on your own is expand your mind. Expansion of the mind has to come from the inside out, not the outside in. That human growth of the mind that will allow you to become successful in whatever career endeavor you pursue. Because I don’t care how much talent you possess, if that mind is not clean, then you’re going to have problems progressing. And what do I mean by a clean mind. I mean recontexualizing the way you see the world in the current state so that you open yourself up to new possibilities. Those who don’t open themselves up will ultimately have a harder time succeeding. It will be hard to see that growth initially because you’re living in real time, but it’s gradual.

How do I know this considering I am so young? It’s because I now understand so much more at the age of 30 then I did at 20 because I shifted my perception on the world. But what I have also learned on that path is the difference between poverty versus prosperity; happiness versus depression. And it has a lot to do with how you perceive the world. Your perceptual views are very evolutionary based, and in order to move even through the ranks of socioeconomic, you have to shift perceptions. So if you want to go from being poor to building a life in the middle class, you can’t think the same way as you do when you are poor. There is a shared mind-frame of those that are poor that allows some to climb and others never to leave their position. And it’s because of the previous statement the ones who don’t leave poverty can’t connect to you.

Meaning, let’s say you are a lottery winner, and you win $1 million. A poor person runs out and buys a nice home and car, while the middle class person pays off their current home, and invest the rest in their children (if they have any), otherwise they safely invest in the market. Now, unlike the poor or even the middle class person, upper class understand that in context of this machine that is America, $1 million is so small. So they reinvest everything back in the system. But if you are poor and can’t understand why people win, that’s why. It’s not a conspiracy, they reinvest more than they spend. They put themselves in the know of whatever it is they want to attain. But that in itself all boils down to how your mind works and what you’re willing to open your mind to learn out here in the world.

In the end, the only way for your mind to grow is to open yourself to new ways of thinking. You have to epitomize what is evolution: a shift from what is simple to what is complex. Even in regards to household income, shift from simple to complex. That does mean going from poverty to prosperity is simple to complex, it simply means if you have found a way to go from poverty to the middle or even upper, you have defeated a statistical odd that said you couldn’t. So numbers in your case lie because you harnessed a skill to make this life work for you. So you have evolved, and you will continue to evolve.

SO UNFAIR, YET OH SO FAIR: WHAT DOES LIFE REALLY MEAN?

Image result for LIFE

“What is your meaning of it?”

Life is unfair! I finally got life figured out! Life sucks! These are the statements that people make when asked about life. So many say that you have to live your whole life to actually figure it out. But do you really need your entire life to figure out life. But let’s be clear about something regarding what really is life. Are you talking the living or talking just life in general? Because we use this interchangeably, but both have different meanings. The word life is existing, it’s what I am doing in this moment typing. Or it’s what you’re doing in the moment reading this topic. But the idea of living on this planet is a whole other ball game. So what is so tough about life on Earth?

Well, for starters, let’s observe what life is. As a life form, we are Carbon based that has taken just over one million years to fully evolve. We’re still evolving, but the change is something we can’t take notice to in the present state. Our life expectancy is 40 years of age, but due to scientific research we live to be 78 years of age.  So to say that life is not fair, just does not resonate with me. What is so unfair about the idea that humans only have a one in seven million chance of life anyways. And if you don’t know what I mean by one in seven million, only one sperm will fertilize an egg in seven million. With those odds, life is a great existence. Now, on the other hand life is hard and life is unfair.

But let’s observe what it means to have a hard life. You wake up every morning, and go to your day job. After work, you come home eat and watch television. Monday through Friday is your routine, then Friday evenings you hang out. Saturdays are lounge or errand days, while Sundays prepare you for Monday. The majority of people on Earth will live like this until they die. So to them, an existence might be rather mundane. But that only tells me the their daily regimen. What about if they have utilities piling up, rent to pay, mortgages, loans, and personal expenses. The average person struggles financially, meaning you’re more than likely not working a job you like. And this is where the saying life is unfair comes into play.

But let’s pause for a second. This in itself only tells me people’s hardships. It does not explain why life is unfair. That’s because in reality life is not unfair; life is very fair, too fair to be real about it. What is unfair is the aspect of dealing with people. If every human on Earth vanished and you were the only one left, what would be your hardest struggle. A lot of people would say survival. But you now have unlimited fruits, vegetables, water, resources for shelter and clothing. How can life be a struggle? Because people regulate food and water. I live near the Atlantic Ocean, and if I were hungry and needed food, it would be a crime to fish from the water. So most people would say life isn’t fair. But life is the waters, life is the sea life. There is nothing unfair about that. It’s people who established a gaming commission so I can’t fish.

In the end, we feel that so much around us is unfair. Yet the Earth has an abundance of resources. The fact that you don’t have the access is not that life is unfair. People have created means of making it virtually impossible to gain access to those resources.  So the way to thrive throughout life is not to think of life as unfair. But if you can manage to navigate the minefield that is us, humans on Earth, then you’ll be fine.
