HEALTH SCARES WORK: HOW INTERNAL PROBLEMS FORCE YOU TO CHANGE COURSE

Doctor Pointing at Tablet Laptop

“You will change or forced to do so.”

test results

Most people go to sleep and wake up not really thinking about their health. Problem is, things arise that force you into the doctor’s office. Now, for me, I like to go to the doctor’s office throughout the year. And even with that nothing is guaranteed. So you say to yourself, why even do it if there is no guarantee with health? Well, statistically it puts you at a strong disadvantage. You are supposed to care for your body even when the doctor’s visit renders there is nothing wrong. That doesn’t mean you’re supposed go, “Oh, there’s nothing wrong, back to the donuts and ice cream.” Bad decision to make once you have been given clearance.

longevity means a lot

Everyone want to have a long life on Earth. But when you get news that you must change your lifestyle, then you are forced to come to a realization. You want to live longer than you are going to live change the lifestyle. Or, you can go at it like you have been doing. That is the thing that wakes people up. And hey, you still may live longer, but do you want to live longer and be forced to live in an assisted living quarters. Because there is nothing more upsetting to see someone that is much much older who refused to change their ways early in life. Now they have to have someone around the clock caring for them until the day they die.

use others as an example

Depending on your family history, you may be prone to have sicknesses unlike others. In my family, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease is a problem. So I have to be extra careful considering it is on both sides of my family. Now, granted, since childhood, I grew up an athlete, but every now and then I feel a little sick. A lot of times it’s nothing but a little bit of stress and anxiety. I will say for the most part I am fine. But if you come from one of these families it should be a wake-up call when you see people getting ill from sicknesses you know you have a lot of control over.

GET YOURSELF CHECKED: WHY MEDICAL HELP IS NEEDED

Person Using Black Blood Pressure Monitor

“Book an appointment.”

get in the office

How often do you go in for a doctor’s visit? I can tell you from me personally, I routinely go in to get myself checked. But, as for mental health, I have not been in a doctor’s office in quite some time. I just don’t feel the need to enter the mental health office because I have discomfort and I also figured out a way to cope. As for physical health, there is no way to not visit the office and feel like everything is just going to be fine. You have to go into the office and make sure things are right even if you feel great. I received my health insurance for the first time in years, and so far went about four times last year.So my question to you, how often do you checkup on your health?

the mental

For some reason we seem to not think about mental as we talk about health. But the mental aspect of health is directly connected to the physical. Since our brain is the central nervous system of our bodies, the thoughts that go through our minds is very crucial to our survival. Yet you would be surprised how much people would just flat out dismiss the idea that there is something mentally wrong with them. No one wants someone picking away at their brain, but we could all use some form of help at some period in our lives. Because this health should come before physical.

routine visits

How often do you go to the doctor’s office? Twice a year or once a month? Ok, maybe once a month is a little much. But you have to pick a time to go that works for you. Go in and get yourself a visit to make sure everything is up to par. And most don’t want to visit a doctor because we are afraid they might find something we don’t want to know about. But what is minor that we are afraid of turns into something major. You have to get out of that fear of being scared. Yes, we all will die some day, and that fear is constant. No one wants to go too soon, but never linger on Earth. So it’s that back and forth and fear that keeps us from going. But please people, get yourself checked.

Macro Photo of Stethoscope and Pens

“One visit can change your life.”

THAT ONE VISIT

You schedule yourself a doctor’s visit to the hospital for a routine check up. It has been a while since gong to the Black and White Blood Pressure Kithospital. But when you walk in, you sit down, get your name called, then make your way to the examination room, meanwhile, all sorts of thoughts go through your head. Then you meet with a physician and he/she run some test. That’s when you find out you’re at risk for some illness that could worsen if you don’t change your lifestyle. And in that moment, you realize all of your poor dietary habits.

SITTING IN A ROOM ALONE

After hearing the news, you sit around waiting for your papers to be drafted up for discharge. And the entire time architecture, daylight, dooryou’re thinking, “Have I really not been properly taking care of myself?” Then, you think about over the years when you would wake up early in the morning to chips, soda, and pizza from the night before. You think about how you would spend countless nights eating ice cream in front of the television set. Now that you are at risk of something much worse, you realize that a shift must take place.

90 DAYS

Those first few months are going to be mentally tough for you because you are shifting your entire lifestyle. But Woman With White Sunvisor Runningthey are also tough because physically you’ll be going through withdrawal periods. Your body is so used to consuming junk over the years, you’ve built up a tolerance. Yet it’s not a tolerance, you’re actually on borrowed time. It’s only a matter of time before your body gives out because of your lifestyle. Now, that doesn’t mean if you eat healthy you’ll always be fine. But the risk are greater with a negative lifestyle.

THERAPY SESSION: SHOULD EVERYONE GO VISIT AT SOME POINT IN THEIR LIVES

“Nothing wrong with reaching out every now and then.”

Have any of you considered therapy? There is nothing wrong with getting your problems out there to be discussed and worked on. Trust me, I have been down that road. But I found something in writing that is my therapy. As a matter of fact, my writing is a career path of mine. Imagine that, my career pursuit is my thing that keeps me balanced. But it hasn’t always been that way. There was a time I needed those therapy sessions. And as a matter of fact I still have the business card in my wallet.

Now let me ask you, do you or have you ever felt like therapy was of use or help? Bringing that working professional who knows what he/she is talking about is crucial in you finding out your problems. Or maybe you might think life is fine but that therapist helps you uncover something you never even knew was there inside of you. Now for years there have been stigmas attached to visiting a therapist. But we are in a more open time period than in the past. You can be honest about issues that you have and also be honest about the ways you are working to fix these problems.

See because step one is admitting a problem exist. Then the next step is reaching out for the help. The third step is opening up, then getting somewhere. Once you feel comfortable enough where you made a breakthrough, you have a few choices. Do like I did and stop because you found a better way to treat a problem. Or, you can keep following up with your therapist with routine checkups. Whatever the case may be, we all have something going on in our lives where some extra assistance could be of use. So keep searching and continue to work to find your way.
