RUNNING ON E: EVER WISH YOU HAD MORE TIME FOR YOU

Image result for RUNNING ON E

“Ever need a filler up?”

Have you ever came home at the end of the day and your body was exactly on E. You wake up in the morning on full and by the days end you have nothing to give. Some of us even wake up with equal or less than half a tank of gas. What are you to do to when you have such a lack of energy? More so, how do most people come to this point in their lives of little to no energy on a daily basis? It can be a multitude of issues ranging from children to employment. It can be running an errand or constantly worrying about bills that need to be paid. But for the most part it is children and employment.

Starting with children, children are an adjustment to people’s lives that forces you to restructure your whole entire existence. Especially when the children are so young. When a child is an infant, your every moment you are free must be spent with them to build a form of familiarity. So not only are you trying to balance a job, but you need to spend unpaid free time with a child. You’re feeding them, playing with them, rocking them to sleep. And if they wake up crying you must be the one putting them back to sleep. Is there any other area where people feel they are running on empty? And there is, it’s from the previous paragraph: employment.

When you get up in the morning from the sound of that alarm, the first thing you think is same shit different day. Some of us like I said before are waking up to half a tank of energy. Others are close to E, yet they have to find some form of energy to raise themselves to half a tank or more. So how is that possible? How is it possible that we operate on such a low amount of energy and still make it to work and perform our task? Some people say luck while others feel it is a blessing. But I think it tends to be more than that. It is survival and you’ll be surprised the things you can do, especially in desperate situations. So how do you change course? How do you shift your life so that you can operate on full or close to it?

A lot of us operating on low energy has to do with the quality of life. People with a poor quality of life typically operate on lower levels of energy. But the desperation to survive keeps them going. Hanging on by a thread, but nonetheless still going. Now is that anyway to live, no, but for some it’s the only way to live. Or it may be the only way they know how to live. But it is going to take more than just what you know, to live. Like in a previous topic, I stated tapping into your inner talent. That requires self awareness; the self awareness which will take you from the running on E feeling. But tapping into inner you requires years of work, skill, keeping your eyes open and watching society around you. Nature will show you the way and your feeling on running out of energy will show you how to slow things down.

GETTING THROUGH THE DAY: HOW SOME DAYS ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS

Image result for HARD TIMES

“Everyone has them, very few don’t.”

We have all had those days where we are feeling depressed or some other form of sorrow. It usually starts at the beginning of the day, and last throughout the day. Other times it seems to come out of nowhere without warning; onset depression. You wonder why does this happen, and how do you cure yourself of such feelings. Most of all, you want to know when will it stop and go away. What are the factors that contribute to you feeling this way? Are there internal feelings that seem to poke through when you least expect it? How can you decrease the odds of you feeling such anxiety in the future?

This has happened to me at times in my life. But for me, it does not start at the beginning of the day. It usually happens out of nowhere. Psychologist call it a trigger, and before you know it, you’re full swing into thoughts of frustration and anger. But where does this come from. Usually, there is this underlying feeling that you have, that you don’t act on, yet it lies dormant in your mind. For example, you go throughout the day feeling good and treating people with respect, but you have this internal rage. This rage that translate into negative thoughts toward other people. It’s uncomfortable to talk about because you’re a good person. But the feeling has nothing to actually do with harming innocent people. You have something internally you need to correct with yourself.

These intrusive thoughts plagued us on a daily basis. How do we eliminate these intrusive thoughts and where do they come from? Another reason the intrusive thoughts creep into our minds has to do with quality of life. When your life is in order, you have better days, you sleep better, have friendlier conversations, and just all around good-nature existence. Intrusive moments happen when you don’t have anything going on in life and/or in between good and bad times. That uncertainty is tough to deal with because you feel like a juggler where someone grabs one of your balls, and throws everything off. What’s another reason down moments happen and how do you combat them?

Down moments can also take place with the change in weather. That’s right, when it’s raining you typically fall into a state of depression quicker than when the temperature is 75 degrees and sunny. It’s not the rain itself, it’s that gloomy days are a reminder of tough times we are going through or have experienced in life. And when weather worsens, we are stuck in the house with little to do, almost like a sick day. So in the end, as you can see, there are multiple reasons why someone experience a rough day. Some rough days are easier to combat than others. Obviously when someone close to you is sick, it will cause you to have a rough day. But out of nowhere hurtful days are the ones we struggle with the most. It’s days like these that we need to sit back and assess what’s wrong in our lives that takes our minds to this desolate place.

GARY V EFFECT: HOW ENTREPRENEURSHIP HAS GROWN IN POPULARITY IN RECENT YEARS

“What’s hustle to you?”

The above animation is of CEO of Vayner Media Gary Vaynerchuk. He gained wide popularity over the internet for his Daily V and many other web content over YouTube. And since the launch of his popularity he has since been seen as a motivational speaker. Even though he doesn’t look at himself as motivational speaker, he has inspired a wide range of people to embark on their own business endeavors. His famous quotes are known throughout the web whether it’s him telling people to, “Get shit done,” or “Don’t watch three seasons of Lost, and then wonder why nothing is happening in your life.” Now, to be clear, Gary V is not the first person to motivate people to be entrepreneurs, yet he is one of the most popular.

What is it about what Gary says to people that resonates so deeply? Well, the most obvious reason he resonates with people is because of his success. He has taken people on a journey through his life as he has become successful over the years. It’s quite inspirational when you can look at a person’s transformation over the years and actually have video content to track the person. We always say that people had an easy ride, but when you can see the climb it makes that person much more appealing. But there is no success without the work put into the climb. And that is what brings me to my next reason why people connect to Gary.

He gives it to people straight, in a way that everyone can understand. Usually, people who give advice give these very generic answers. Answers that don’t have much substance. Or if they do have substance it requires you to buy their book or attend their seminar. Receiving free content that gives an insight into the world from a person who has taken the leap of faith into society is well worth listening to. So what is it; what has made people lean in the direction toward entrepreneurship? There are a few reasons as to why this could be happening in our society.

For starters, there are so many people in the world who hate their jobs. They wish they could be doing anything other than what they are doing at the moment. So opening a side business to make a little money outside of the daily grind is worth it. But mainly people have become attracted to entrepreneurship because the state of employment has shifted. So many people are out of work, and for those working you’re still barely able to sustain financially. Unlike the past generations, the millennial generation and beyond won’t work a job for 30 plus years and retire in that same place. In America today, working the same job for five years is a stretch.

So in the end, the allure of being an entrepreneur has people ready to dive right in. The only downside, is that most don’t have the stomach to deal with the adversity or daily fight of trying to make a living from absolutely nothing. Truth is, most will give up within their first year of pursuing. In the words of Gary V, “Most people are wired to lose and conform.” That’s life, and it will always be that way. But for the few who can stomach the grind, they make out on top financially and in happiness.

REPETITION: HOW ROUTINES CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THAT SUCCESS

Image result for routine

“What is your success regimen?”

Some of us think about a daily regimen as getting up going to work each and every day. But what about how we go about attaining our success in the world. Successful people all have a regimen, and it is very stringent to their daily lives. It may consist of them performing a certain action or eating certain foods to start your day. Others include a workout in the morning or a verbal ritual. I myself have a daily routine that consists of me keeping in line with my daily success. I usually take the same route to and from work everyday. I even keep the same songs in rotation on my phone. Why is this important to have a routine everyday?

People who typically have a daily routine to keep themselves on track are more focused because they have this ritual. When you have this routine that leads you into your day of work, it makes your work more important and creates a sense of urgency. Well why does it create urgency? It’s because once you do the same thing over and over again, with more and more consistency each time, you start to develop success from this. In addition, you are not thinking also about the time that is passing because you’re so into your work.

Are there any reasons besides keeping in line with success for why you would have a daily routine. Another reason is that some people need a routine as it pertains to their stability as well. A stable person is someone who has a sustainable routine that keeps them mentally straight. And it’s that mental focus that puts them on the path to the success. So, where does it come from? Is there a certain group of people out there who share this trait? Where does this spark to have a daily routine toward success come from? In the end, we all have something we perform on a daily basis to get us charged in the morning. Whatever gets you started on your day is up to you, just as long as the end result is your success.

“Success is an uphill battle.”

We all know what it is, we all think we do it, but few actually do. What am I talking about, I’m talking about the grind. I always hear how people talk about the grind, the grind, the grind. But how many people actually are on their grind. Let me tell you about my daily grind.

5:00 am – Waking up

5:30 am – Leaving for part time job

7:00 am – start work

11:00 am/Noon – off work

12:00 pm/1:00pm – working on storyboard for my next short film, wordpress blogging posts

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm – (sometimes work second shift on job)

5:00 pm – writing and structuring my novel/short stories/videoblogging

10:40 pm – leave computer lab

12:20 am – sleep

7 days per week.

That’s right, my goal is film making and I make it a lifestyle. I am not talking about it, but I am actually doing instead of talking. How come people don’t do, but talk? My best guess is that they are in a romantic daydream by talking. The daydream becomes real once they embark on that road of grinding. That’s a scary decision to make also. I mean come on, who is willing to put so much of their life on hold for building their future.

Come on, guys my age are thinking about work, hooking up, and blazing up. But me, I am constantly thinking, what is my next move. Oh, and by the way I just started my YouTube channel of building awareness for my upcoming projects. My second short film in the spring, my novel and short story book by the beginning of the winter, as well as my daily blog posts on WordPress. This will be my base to start from when also trying to catch the attention of a literary agency.

So as you can see, I am in a race. I am in a race against time. When you’re in the paradigm it seems like an eternity. Why does time drag when you’re grinding and hustling? I wish I knew how to speed up the clocks to the point where I am successful at what I do. But why click forward, these experiences are just what I need to make myself successful and maintain a strong career. I always remember the quote, “Opportunity meets preparation.” Everything I do is in preparation for my future. Now let me ask you something, what is your daily grind?
