COMPETITIVE CAREER FRIENDSHIPS

50 U.s. Dollar Banknote

“Let’s be friends later.”

COMPADRE COMPETITION

Having friends in similar careers or different careers, but similar career drive, will create a pretty good competition. And to be perfectly honest, i think that it’s a good thing that you and your friends have this type of comradery. It will push you guys forward toward where you both need to be in life. And without that, or close circle of friends you tend to lose something that you’re fighting for. You compete against life, but you don’t have these people close by to chase to your dreams. Making this a life experience can be healthy, just as long as you have friends that all share that similar thought process. It can be hard to stomach when there are negative mind-frames in the mix.

YOU LAUNCH AND THEY DON’T

What happens when you start to take off and your friends do not? This can start to be a burden when you build more and more. They may turn their attention to you because they are not going in the direction where they see themselves in a place of success. You would think that your success would make them want to fight harder. And initially they do, but eventually they turn on you. So you have to pick your friends wisely because these are the people that will either make you better or bring you down.

THAT INNER FIGHT

Where does the fight come from when you have that competition? I don’t know, maybe nature gives us this type of comradery is what we need as a species. And even when you don’t have friends, watching people pushes you as well.

APPRECIATING THE SPACE YOU ARE IN

YOUR GOAL IS THE GOAL

Far too often people are looking over at what other people are doing and how they are building their futures. And they are not grateful enough of where they are at by doing so. Plus, sometimes who can blame them when you have a social media platform that is a constant reminder of how awful your life is in the world. Because you just have a mundane life and everyone is doing something so much better. Then again so many people lie about their great lives on social media. But this is more than just that, it’s people who frown on why they are not where others are in life. Some even will squander a blessing because they feel they deserve more than the person with more.

KNOW WHEN TO CASH OUT

Life success is not only about building, but sometimes you have to know when to throw in the towel. And a lot of people just don’t know when to throw the towel in this thing called life. You will win $100 million in prize money, but another person will win $500 million. That is their winnings, but don’t throw away your ticket. Sometimes you just have to cash out here in life. And look at the bright side, most people don’t get even a small percentage of $100 million. But it’s something about people not seeing themselves that they won’t cash out, but throw the ticket away.

NEVER GOOD ENOUGH

There is always someone better than you at something. So if you are constantly comparing yourself and looking at another person’s success, you never can live the space you have carved out for yourself. And trust and believe, someone would love to swap places with you. That person might also be close to catching you as well. So why you’re comparing yourself to others, the person behind you might pass you and now you’re even further from the top.
