You might think that working for hours on hours will be the best way to ensure you become successful in your career. But the reality is that working smarter doesn’t always mean the one who works more time. Because you have to think about what your time is spent doing. For me, my long hours are not continuous work. My long hours is me trying to come up wit ideas for writing and also putting together my various projects I will be working on throughout this year. So that is the long hours that I spend in the computer lab. All the while I am working my day job in pursuit of my dreams in life.

keeping an open sound mind

My mind is open, so open that when I am writing I have to be careful that it does not wonder too much. Since I am creative writing, I like to get into these scenarios when I am writing, and tend to go off and lose my time. There have been times I have been locked into a scenario for hours and didn’t realize the time lost until the sun was going down. So this may be a case of working smart because I am into the scenario. But at the same time, if nothing is written then you can realistically say that time was lost and that wasn’t smart at all. It’s why I try to manage my time by keeping my mind focus.

what’s the task

You may be sitting down working on trying to complete your task. But you have to think to yourself what it is you’re exactly putting all this time and effort into to make better. The task that you are working on has to be worth the energy otherwise it’s considered lost productivity. And when the productive time is lost, it was a waste to even sit down in the first place. So know that the there is a sound problem that is worth you tackling before continuing forward.

QUALIFYING THE UNQUALIFIED: HOW TO HELP AMERICA’S UNEMPLOYED

“How do we help them?”


In previous articles, I have discussed the reasons for so many people being unemployed in America. And one of the reasons I have come up with in regards to aiding the unemployed is some type of program to help the unemployed. But how do we determine how to help those unemployed. Well, for starters, what are their skills in life? You have a lot of Americans who have some sort of physical labor intensive skill. Now in a society where machines are replacing people, what do they do? Well, why are their so many labor intensive Americans? How did that come about? Let’s look at the history overall at how we came to this point.

For the past hundred years in the United States, we have went through strong economic times through an industrial era. America was such a strong nation in our use of factories for mass production that we lead the world. So much so that people have flocked to this nation from other parts of the world seeking a better life. But a problem arose as time went on. And that problem is that bigger boys came on the block ready to compete. They were big boys called, Chinese, Indians, and Mexicans. And then American corporations found it cheaper to ship factory jobs to these countries instead of mass production here. Why, well because the labor is cheaper. You could pay ten times less, and charge cheaper prices for the good.

Now in the United States people have relied so much on these factories that they have no other skill. Because working in a factory is repetitive work all day. You made enough money to build a home and buy a car, even put kids through school. When jobs moved overseas, it forced people to be creative and think outside the box. And for the first time in their lives, they had to be good at something other than their daily task. And that’s where we are at today with the job crisis. People don’t have actual job skills, they have task skills. You can program a machine to perform a task, but teaching a machine skills is not there yet. So what do we do and where do we go from here.

During Donald Trump’s election, he eluded to the idea of reintroducing factories back into the United States, moving out of China mainly. But how does this happen in an environment where you can make so much by not coming back. See, in my opinion, we need training programs for Americans. Training programs that teach logistics, management, operational, and IT (information technology) experience/skills. What we also do is build infrastructure such as torn up roads, freeways, rundown schools, old police stations and fire houses, as well as other publicly funded property. People with factory or construction experience should get first dibs of a certain age (40+ years), and the next generation should prepare themselves for the future.

Because in the end, the future of the country will be how innovative the country can be. We should not be looking to reopen factories, but pushing innovative initiatives in this country. Coal mining and building soda cans should be done through automation. If not, all it takes is for someone to make a production method better in the world to illuminate our factories. We are banking on the world not innovating. Think about the mule pullers in the south harvesting. Imagine how they got put out of jobs because of the combine. People have to adjust the best way, and going back is not the best method of job growth.
