THE RELATIONSHIP TAGLINE: HOW WE AS MEN HAVE SHIFTED OUR LANGUAGE TO APPEASE WOMEN

“We say it, but do we feel it?”

“I want a woman with her own money, and dreams, and everything else she wants that society says I should want from a woman.” This is the tagline that every guy is supposed to say when asked what he wants from a woman in a relationship. But do you really mean every word that comes from your mouth, or are you just saying that to get in good with women? Because if you’re just trying to get on her good side, she’ll peep your game out sooner or later. Then she’ll hate you more for wasting her time than if you were just honest to begin with; so why. Why do we say we want all these things from a woman in society, yet when we get these things that we say we do, we run from women. It’s an act that woman define as a weakness in men, and it is if you’re looking at it from the standpoint of what we say we want from women.

Only problem is, is that in today’s society, we are carrying this tagline because it’s what women want to hear and necessarily what they should hear from us. I’m not saying that men want a woman who does nothing for herself in life, but it is not to the extent to which we speak in society. But when you don’t say who she is and what she’s doing is important to you, we’re attacked for not caring. So what we have done as guys, is that we lie to women, but not with our words. Women tend to be better communicators verbally then we are as men. So when birthdays and holidays come around, we do things for women because it means something to you. Not always because it means something to us; Valentines Day comes around, you as that woman get two dozen roses. Why, well because it means something to you. Women react to these actions, and sometimes get hurt in the process.

So why is it so hard for men besides the societal aspects to be up front and honest about what we really want from women. And the reason comes from watching women’s likes and dislikes, then behaving according to what they demand and not who we are as a person. Meaning, she wants monogamy, but you want to just date different women. Instead of you passing on the relationship, you play boyfriend, and you’re not boyfriend material. So when it’s time to go to the next level, you remove yourself from the equation, or make her break up with you so you can avoid the commitment. So what is that men want, simple, have your life. Real men are not intimidated with your success. Have your career, hang with friends, but here is where it gets sensitive: do what I say do at some point in time how I want it done and tend to my needs as well.

And that’s when the problems start, since women of today translate that into control. “Do what I say do!” “What do you mean by that!” That’s when the conversation falls flat, not because he really wants to control you. Men are typically not good verbal communicators, so instead of stating the context of what you mean, you further bury yourself by lacking verbal communication. Meaning, do what I say do, isn’t jump when I say jump. It simply means, you have times where your word is law, and I have mine. And this is a particular moment in time when my word should mean something. It’s not control, it’s a reciprocal relationship. And in the end, that’s who men are, but societal standards are such today where you have to lie and give women a tagline. But eventually, she’ll believe in the verbal content and behavior. Yet if you’re not that guy, she’ll hate you more for not being honest in the beginning.

A LEAGUE OF OUR OWN: SHOULD BLACK ATHLETES CREATE THEIR OWN LEAGUES FOR SPORTS

Image result for black texans

“Taking a knee or taking your talents elsewhere?”

There has been yet another knee taken in an NFL opener, this time by Houston Texans players after team owner Robert C. McNair made a statement regarding players in the NFL protesting before the game. He stated that, We can’t let the inmates rule the prison.” A comment that he later apologized for, but the damage had already been done. His players, in a move of defiance, staged a protest against him for his comments. So with that said, What will it take before Black athletes go off and start their own league?” Are we close to seeing the Negro Leagues open up once again. The Negro Leagues for baseball when Black players could not play in the majors. But Black players are allowed in the majors, but with the social issues of America still looming, they are encouraged today not to be involved. With starting their own league, they wouldn’t have to deal with what comes with being in the NBA, NFL, or MLB from fans.

But my question is, is it really that detrimental at this stage? Or, are we more sensitive because there is more in mass media that is pumped to us. If we saw everything that took place during the Civil Rights Era, the fight might have been even worse as well. We see everything now; everything is on camera and everything is for mass consumption. So when you hear police shooting an unarmed Black male, you react quicker today than in the past. And since there is a news story everyday, it makes you paranoid with the police. So much so, a lot of these players are now in the fight. A move that has irritated the NFL’s predominantly White fan base. The Black players say why aren’t more White men and women angry regarding the recent protesting in favor of the Confederate flag and monuments in the Southern states. So now, you hear rumblings of starting a league for these players. But once again, is it that serious?

America has always had these social issues, especially the issues concerning racial tension. But people who are fans of sports show up to the games to escape the social and political issues that makeup America today. So to them, is it really necessary to create a whole other league because of the introduction of a few recent issues. Because in the past Black players had no other choice but to create a separate league. That’s like Black students stating that we will only attend HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) from here on out because other universities won’t acknowledge issues surrounding police brutality. In the end, these social issues aren’t slowing down. Not as long as this current White House Administration is in office. And for those reasons, it’s going to be a long 3 years.

LOSING EVERYTHING FOR NOTHING: WHY ARE PEOPLE SACRIFICING THEIR ALL FOR AMERICA’S CURRENT CLIMATE

Image result for AMERICA PROTEST CHARLOTTESVILLE

“Long after Trump is gone, you will be hurting.”

Protesting, fighting, arguing! All of this in fighting over the election of President Donald J. Trump. People are at odds with each other, and even families & friends have become fragmented as a result. And for what, over a man who is a billionaire that won’t be effected by any of this when he leaves the White House. Long after Trump have left the White House people are going as far as sacrificing their freedom over this election. And what’s sad is that it still won’t change anything. America will continue on as usual, status quo in place, and the move forward will commence. Meaning, from the guy who drove his car into the crowd of people in Charlottesville, Virginia to the counter protesters backlash.

Those involved might look back and go, what the hell was all this about. The guy who drove his car into a crowd will go to prison, and his life is over. A new administration will come and go, and your life is done. The guys carrying the torches at the University of Virginia campus who lost their jobs, how will you pay your bills. To the counter protesters fighting back and getting arrested, I hope you all know what you’re doing. I’m not saying not to push back against things you feel are infringing on your rights, but is it a righteous fight. During the Civil Rights movement, you had no choice but to be involved because there were major human rights violations. But today, issues exist, but we are fighting for the most part because we disagree with people’s stance, not an infringing of rights.

And like I said before, this administration will blow over, while all these people and their relationships are ruined. People feel so strongly about their political views because they want to feel like their voices mean something. And in reality, the American government’s job is to find ways to move forward. Moving forward meaning, aimed at trying to be one of the leaders in this new technological era. Yet people are more focused on their historical sentiments from the 1700’s, 1800’s, and 1900’s. Crazy thing is that the top one percent could care less about Trump and his followers ideology, as well Trump adversaries. Because while people focus on things that will blow over, the other portion of people focused on this new game will advance. And what will happen inevitably from those not focused?

In the end, fighting will calm and questions will be asked as to how others manage to gain their positions. It’s like the old saying, “When there’s blood in the street buy property.” And that is the truth because people in the know are looking for capital gains. They are financially empowering themselves while others fight. So when the blood is done being spilled, the fighters will be worst off than before, and the wealthy will be at an even higher level than before.

AGENDA CONNECTION: AIMING TO FIGURE OUT WHY WE TAKE CERTAIN STANCE

Related image

“I wish I felt what they felt.”

In society today, we all have these stance we take in regards to feeling a certain sentiment. And they are stance that people are so passionate about. But are all stance taken justifiable in the our spread of it? Are there times where a stance is taken and we should disregard the stance? When I hear about a message being spread; the awareness for an issue in society, I have a series of questions. First is why are people taking the stance, who is truly benefiting, and what is the solution? But a question that no ne seems to ask is of themselves. What if I were that person fighting for a particular cause. Sounds simple, yet so many don’t even bother.

Now, what I gain from hearing this all is, some days I wish I were a member of a certain fight, or even go as far as morphing into the bodies of the people. Then I could see their real sentiment. Because we have these editing systems as it pertains to how we converse. Yet the sentiment is something totally different than how we talk. Being able to place myself in the life of the person, I could see why they follow a movement. See, I pride myself on being a more transparent person, but it’s hard to get people to be just as honest. It’s hard to get people to move past the violin playing in a conversation.

And what do I mean by violin playing? I mean asking someone a question and then, you hear them playing a fine tune around the language. But why do we do it? We do it because we have formed these coalitions to take on anyone that says anything honest. So we teach other to be dishonest. And we remain silent as these groups take power. And by the time we have had enough, it’s too late, we have lost our voices. So I want to know, what is the end game of a lot of these causes? They say they are hoping to accomplish something, but are they really looking for a solution? Because a solution would mean dismantling the organization. And I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

See, in the end, I think that there are real causes. But with these causes is a certain segment of the population that go overboard. Why, well power corrupt that’s why. When a person takes your money in school, the bully won’t say thanks for Monday lunch. They take lunch the rest of the week. So even with an agenda that may be in the best interest of a group, we have to also make sure they are not dipping into their popularity in the process.
